Scirpus L. s.l. of Cyperaceae has been regarded as a monophyletic group, but the taxa of Scirpus s.l. were rearranged into the five independent genera in recent molecular phylogenetic research: Bolboschoenus (Asch.) Palla, Schoenoplectus (Rchb.) Palla, Schoenoplectiella Lye, Scirpus L., and Trichophorum Pers. In this study, we examined the morphological characteristics and presented the delineation of the five genera of Scirpus s.l., including 21 taxa from South Korea. As a result of our investigation and analysis of domestic collections and those from abroad, the each taxon could be identified using key characteristics of the rhizome features; a cross-section of culm; the degree of development and the width of leaves; the shapes of the membranous region of leaf sheath; and the shapes and size of inflorescence, bract, floral scale, and achene. These major characteristics are illustrated and artificial keys are suggested in this study. In addition, we suggest a new combination for an unrecorded taxon of Schoenoplectiella that was discovered in Gangwon-do, Goseong-gun and give it the Korean name, as 'a-do-song-i-go-raeng-i'.

The survey was carried out over an area representing about 29％ of the reclaimed paddy fields of west and south seashore in Korea. Scirpus maritimus L. was heavily infested all over the reclaimed paddy fields. But the weed was scarcely found in double cropping fields cultivating barley at paddy after rice or in reclaimed paddy fields where the cultivation was taken a long time.

We have gone into details about the velocity calibration of sinusoidal mode for Mossbauer spectrometer. Since sinusoidal Mossbauer spectrometer has a ${\gamma}$-ray source that oscillates at the end of loudspeaker with the natural frequency. Doppler velocity is accurate and stable. From the analyzing Mossbauer spectra of $Fe_3O_4$ and U $Fe_3O_4$ (unbalanced $Fe_3O_4$), we have shown the power of correct velocity for sinusoidal mode.

Seasonal changes of the growth characteristics and biomass of Scirpus fluviatilis, a aquatic emergent vascular plant, were investigated to reveal the phenology and the population dynamics and to provide the fundamental resources for the restoration counterplan of the wetland vegetation in the littoral zone of the Upo wetland, Changnyeong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, Korea from March 2006 to November 2006. Scirpus fluviatilis was distributed commonly in Upo, Mokpo, Sajipo, Jokjibyeol, and Topyeongcheon upstream and downstream of Upo wetland, and the density was highest in Mokpo. Distribution range for the water depth was 9~49cm, and the highest shoot density in 26~49cm, and the mean shoot density was $119/m^2$, and the mean shoot length was 122.3cm on May 28. The number of the tuber was $104.5/0.25m^2$, and the living tubers were 84.2%. The mean fresh biomass of the living tubers was 3.0g, and those of 1~4g was most as 57.9%. Germination rates of the living tubers was 43.8%, and the maximum rate was in 7~9g and more than 10g. In the pot cultivation, the shoot density of the germinated tubers and the dormant tubers were highest as 13.5 and 9.7, respectively in early August. In the field study, the shoot density had few change before typhoon damage, while the density increased abruptly in November after flooding accompanied with the typhoon 'Ewiniar'. The shoot length in the pot cultivation and in the field study were 100~116cm and 60~170cm, respectively in the growth-end. Biomass allocation rates into the stem, leaf, flower, and underground parts were 8.9%, 6.6%, 0%, and 84.5%, respectively in the pot cultivation of the germinated tubers, and those of the dormant tubers were 7.1%, 7.1%, 0%, and 85.8%, respectively. The tuber number increased to 1.4~4.1 times by the growth-end, so it is concluded that Scirpus fluviatilis is mostly propagated by the vegetative reproduction.

In this paper, I intend to focus on the 1991 racial tension and violence portrayed in Anna Devear Smith's book Fires in the Mirror, which was published in book form in 1993. I make use of a series of interviews with many of those involved in the conflicts, which were based on the Jewish Holocaust and the history of African American enslavement. In Crown Heights, the black community and the Jewish community have each suffered terrible losses, but individuals and communities become rhetorically attached to foundational historical traumas that lie at the center of each group's cultural identity rather than try to understand each other's pain. Smith lets this rhetoric dominate Fires in the Mirror by putting contradictory monologues side by side in order to show how discourses on 'slavery' and 'the Holocaust' still have control over specific ethnic communities. My intention is not to delve into the conflict between the Jewish and black communities exclusively. Rather, I attempt to form an understanding of the problems of the critical/theoretical tenets proposed by 'the rhetoric of holocaust,' including the Jewish Holocaust and the black experience of enslavement. Such an understanding will help us see the failure in the theories, illuminating the ways that such rhetoric should have recognized its own violence and helped to forge a new relationship between racism and anti-Semitism. Fires in the Mirror mirrors back to us the ways that 'the Holocaust' betrays the possibility of error to indicate its own susceptibility to blindness. The cracks brought forth by conflicting narratives enable readers to observe wounds being healed and the possibility of new narrative looming up.

본 연구는 '소비자중심'의 주거문화를 모색하기 위해 한국사회 신세대소비자의 주거 가치와 관련요인에 대해 수도권의 20~35세 남녀를 대상으로 자기기입식 질문지를 이용하여 실증연구하였고 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 14개 주거가치에 대해 전반적으로 중요 하다는 응답이 대부분이었다. 둘째, 주거가치의 요인분석결과 4개 특성이 추출되었고 두 맥 락으로 접근할 수 있었다 하나는 후기 산업사회로의 발전과 함께 중요하게 인식되는 주거가 치특성으로 외부환경의 편리성과 인간성 회복 인접환경의 안전과 프라이버시 내부환경의 편 리성과 아름다움을 중시하는 주거가치가 이에 속한다. 이주거가치들은 신세대소비자에게 매 우 강하게 형성되어 있었으며 공통적으로 신세대가치관이 강할수록 더 강한 것으로 나타났 다. 다음은 전통적으로 중요시된 주거가치로서 위신과 경제성 주거가치이다 이는 비교적 낮 은 수준으로 나타났으며 신세대가치관이 약할수록 더 강하게 나타났다.

The actor Song Gang Ho who appeared in the late 1990s, expanded the personality of his characters on his own way by using his unique characteristics (way of talking and appearance) as a nuance of diverse characters, while playing the wide range of roles from the petite bourgeoisie to kings in various genres. Especially in films such as , which are based on real incidents and real people, Gang Ho Song's character embodies Korean history and cultural identity. Not only his serious, but light and seemingly uncalculated realistic acting style harmonizes with his character and reveals the sense of humanity creating a new genre called "Gang Ho Song's character", but also Gang Ho Song is solidifying his base and range as an actor. Therefore, this research aims to analyze his character and acting through the film while concentrating on his realistic expression and creativity based on Barry King's concept of authorship. First, the research will analyze the features of the historical and cultural identity of Song Gang Ho's character which reenacts the real people and incidents as well as analyzing his realistic acting and improvisation of his acting which adds vibrancy to his character. While looking at Song Gang Ho's acting as a self-reflective acting, he enhances the character's reality by creating the character's personality using his own physical features and this research will analyze how Song Gang Ho's self-reflectiveness harmonizes with the character's features which are expressed realistically in the film and how his character and acting creates a continuum.

The heart sends blood to the body with heart rate. When heart rate for men is from 60 to 80 per minute, he is generally normal. However, if heart rate is less than the normal heart rate, the symptom is called by bradycardia. Otherwise, the symptom is called by tachycardia. These symptoms make him even to death. Therefore, heartbeat rate has a very important role in a healthy life. In this study, we studied on auto-extracting methods of heart rates from ECG, and compared them with those measured by naked eyes. The first auto-extracting method employs the 2-order differential equations to extract heart rate. The second method uses the autocorrelation coefficients to detect heart rate. To verify its efficacy and validity in practical applications, these method has been applied to MIT/BIH database.

Through the research and analysis on the vegetation environment, flora of habitats through documentary and field studies over 14 habitats of Euryale ferox Salisbury within Jeollabukdo, with the objective of acquiring the basic data for forming an environment based on plantation of reservoirs that are composed with Euryale ferox, the following results were obtained. 1. The entire flora of the 14 habitats appeared to be 79 families, 211 genus, 298 species, two subspecies, 30 varieties and six forma, thus, a total of 336 taxa was confirmed. Among these, emergent water plants appeared to compose 17 taxa, floating-leaved plants to compose seven taxa including Euryale ferox floating plants to compose five taxa and submerged water plants to compose two taxa. As a result of analyzing the similarity only over the water plants. The lowest similarity rate appeared between Gamdong Reservoir and Aedang Reservoir, as the similarity rate between the two regions appeared to be 0% as a result of the analysis. Floating-leaved plants, lotuses and caltrops, appeared to be equally inhabiting in Hanseongji at Jeongeup and Seoknam Reservoir at Gochang, which showed the highest similarity rate, in addition to Euryale ferox. 2. When examining the appearance frequency of aquatic plants per growth type, Actinostemma lobatum and Phragmites communis, in addition to Euryale ferox each appeared 11 times, showing a high frequency of 78.6% and Trapa japonica, which is a floating-leaved water plant, appeared ten times(71.4%) and Zizania latifolia appeared eight times(57.1%). In addition, the appearance rate appeared to be high in the order of Persicaria thunbergii, Leersia sayanuka, Ceratophyllum demersum, Echinochloa crusgalli var. oryzicola, Scirpus maritimus, and Nelumbo nucifera. 3. The rare plants discovered in the Euryale ferox habitats pursuant to the IUCN evaluation standards was confirmed to be composed of five taxa, with three taxa including the least concerned species(LC), Melothria japonica at Yanggok Reservoir, Hydrocharis dubia at Myeongdeokji and Ottelia alismoides at Daewi Reservoir, in addition to vulnerable species(VU), Utricularia vulgaris at Sangpyeong Reservoir, along with Euryale ferox. 4. Most of the group or community types of the natural habitats of Euryale ferox appeared to be the Euryale ferix community' and the Daewi Reservoir of Gunsan was defined as caltrop + Euryale ferox + Nymphoides indica community. The green coverage ratio of Euryale ferox per natural habitats showed a considerably huge deviation from 0.03 to 36.50 and as the average green coverage ratio was appropriated as 9.8, it can be considered that maintaining the green coverage ratio of Euryale ferox in a 10% level would be advisable when forming a reservoir with Euryale ferox as the key composition species. 5. The vegetation community nearby the natural habitats of Euryale ferox per research subject area appeared to be composed of three Leersia japonica communities, two communities each for Zizania latifolia community and Trapa japonica community and one community each for Nelumbo nucifera community, Nymphoides peltata + Typha orientalis community, Trapa japonica + Nelumbo nucifera community, Hydrocharis dubia community, Leersia japnica + Paspalum distichum var. indutum community and Euryale ferox + Trapa japonica community, showing a slight difference depending on the location conditions of each reservoir. Thus, this result may be suggested as a guideline to apply when allocating the vegetation ratio and the types of floating-leaved plants upon planting plants in reservoirs with Euryale ferox as the main companion species.
