  • In this paper, design and implementation of RIA(: Rich Internet Application) technology, a CMS based on either of the Adobe Flex framework. Flex existing HTML + CSS + Javascript, etc. it can be easily added to a variety of visual components on a markup language consisting allow you to implement a more dynamic website. The HTTP request is processed using the Spring Framework of MVC based. Spring Framework provides a number of services for the development of a dynamic website to open source framework for the Java platform. It is being used as a standard-based technology for e-government framework used to develop recommendations and Republic of Korea during the Web service public institutions. Extensive production becomes increasingly thin web can be more efficiently managed, and will provide convenience to the user.

  • MPEG-4 시스템은 장면 자체를 하나의 구성 요소로 여기는 기존의 시스템과는 달리, 그 장면을 구성하는 부호화 또는 복호화된 A/V 객체(Audio/visual Objects)들을 하나의 단위로 인식하여, 다양한 멀티미디어 컨텐츠의 장면을 구성(Scene Composition)하고 표현 하는 것에 그 특징이 있다. 이러한 MPEG-4 시스템의 객체 기반 특징은 다양한 사용자와의 대화성(Interactivity)을 가능하게 하며 , 또한 편리한 컨텐츠 편집 및 재사용 등이 가능하기에 차세대 디지털 방송 컨텐츠 제작에 중요하게 활용될 전망이다. 객체 기반 A/V 편집 도구는 MPEG-4를 기반으로 차세대 디지털 방송 컨텐츠 제작을 용이하게 하기 위한 제작/편집 도구로써 , 장면을 표현하기 위하여 BIFS(Binary Format for Scene description)와 XMT(eXtensible MPEG-4 Textual format) 포맷을 모두 사용하고 있다. BIFS 포맷은 저작된 결과물을 바이너리 형태로 표현하기 때문에, 저작된 결과물을 전송하는 데에는 용이하나, 중간에 저작된 결과물을 확인하기 어렵고, 또한 기존의 다른 어플리케이션과의 상호 작용(Interoperability)과 교환(Exchange)에도 어려움이 따른다. 이에 반해, XMT는 차세대 마크업 언어로 각광 받고 있는 XML 에 그 기반을 두고 있기에 저작된 결과물을 제작자가 쉽게 저작물을 이해할 수 있으며, SMIL 과 X3D 같은 다른 어플리케이션과의 상호작용과 교환 또한 용이하게 한다 XMT는 기술 방법에 따라 XMT-A 와 XMT-0 두 가지 형태가 있으며, XMT-A 포맷은 VRML에서 발전한 X3D(extensible 3D)를 바탕으로 MPEG-4 시스템의 특징들을 수용하여 구성되고 BIFS와 일대일로 대응된다. 반면에 XMT-0는 멀티미디어 문서를 웹문서로 표현하는 SMIL 2.0 을 그 기반으로 하였기에 MPEG-4 시스템의 특징보다는 컨텐츠를 저작하는 제작자의 초점에 맞추어 개발된 형태이다. XMT를 이용하여 컨텐츠를 저작하기 위해서는 사용자 인터페이스를 통해 입력되는 저작 정보들을 손쉽게 저장하고 조작할 수 있으며, 또한 XMT 파일 형태로 출력하기 위한 API 가 필요하다. 이에, 본 논문에서는 XMT 형태의 중간 자료형으로의 저장 및 조작을 위하여 XML 에서 표준 인터페이스로 사용하고 있는 DOM(Document Object Model)을 기반으로 하여 XMT 문법에 적합하게 API를 정의하였으며, 또한, XMT 파일을 생성하기 위한 API를 구현하였다. 본 논문에서 제공된 API는 객체기반 제작/편집 도구에 응용되어 다양한 멀티미디어 컨텐츠 제작에 사용되었다.

  • SyncML is an open standard data synchronization protocol proposed by OMA(Open Mobile Alliance). In this paper, a Session Handler module, one of major modules for developing SyncML data synchronization clients, and a client User Setup program are designed and implemented. The Session Handier Module controls communication sessions, generates header parts of messages exchanged, and determines the legitimacy of incoming messages. In order to justify normal operations of the Session Handler module and the client User Setup program implemented In this paper, they are ported to a Zaurus PDA, which runs on LINUX operating system. In addition, data synchronization operations are performed between the PDA and a Synthesis sever, whose SyncML data synchronization operation is certificated by OMA, Wireless Internet International Standard Forum.

  • IMO adopt the revision of SOLAS convention on requirement systems for ECDIS and considered an ECDIS as the major system for E-Navigation strategy on marine transportation safety and environment protection. ENC(Electronic Navigational Chart) as the base map of ECDIS is considered as a principal information infrastructure that is essential for navigation tasks. Because ENCs are not easy to utilize for being encoded according to ISO/IEC 8211 file format, used for navigational purpose mainly, it's required to utilize in parts of Marine GIS and various marine application. In this paper, we developed KML conversion technology for ENC application. In details, we analyzed data model and encoding method of ENC, schema structure and data file of KML. Based on this results, we developed the program of KML conversion of ENCs.

  • GML is a markup language presented as exchange standard for geographic information by the OGC(Open GIS Consortium). In spatial network databases, researches for supporting GML(Geographic Markup Language) can be divided into the parsing, the storing and the retrieval of GML documents. Among them, the study on the storage of GML documents is essential for their efficient retrieval. However there is little research on the storing of GML documents whereas there have been a lot of researches on the storing of n documents. Because the storage schema designed for XML documents are not appropriate for geographic information, we, in this paper, propose three storage schema for efficiently storing GML documents including geographic information in order to solve the problem that the XML storage schema store duplicate data and need to search many tables for obtaining elements. In addition, we design and implement a low-level storage manager which can store GML documents using the proposed GML storage schema.

  • Due to rapid advance of wireless communication technology and popularization of wireless devices, demand on wireless internet contents is gradually increasing. Therefore, there are many researches and solution developments to provide good qualified contents quickly for wireless internet. For example, researches into converting wired web contents into wireless web contents or using integrated markup language like XHTML basic to make contents. In this paper, I propose a method to develop XML-based web contents which uses PHP language for data fetch from MySQL database. This method use open source software for a cost saving. Due to use of PHP extension as a XSLT engine, this method is very easy to apply. For a example of this method, a web content of movie information is implemented for PC and PDA browser. Developing XML-based web contents is useful not only for supporting devices of multiple type, but also for rapid changes of user interface design and for exchange of contents between web sites.

Automated Selection System of Examination Questions in Web-Based Instruction (웹기반교육에서의 자동 문제 출제 시스템)

  • Internet has been applied to the educational field such as data search, lecture by motion picture, realtime examination. Most questions made for these remote examinations use methods of making questions randomly using fixed questions or item pools. The designed system in this paper makes questions without knowing MARK-UP language and after undergoing examinations on Web. Also it readjusts degree of difficulty automatically on the basis of the rate of correct answers. In addition, this enables learners to perform feedback learning after examinations and subsequently learners themselves to adjust their degree of difficulty and undergo reexaminations. The automatic selection system makes it easy to select questions, possible to expect average marks and number of questions made, and to prevent that questions may be made too easy or too hard. For a remote examination, as there are much possibilities of dishonesty such as examination by proxy so different types of problems are made, and problems of the rationality caused from that can be avoided.

  • In this paper we studied English listening and speaking test part of foreign language using web and VoiceXML-based education testing system, which is irrespective of time and space. The testing system interface based on VoiceXML consists of user registration module, testing module, and testing result module. User registration module registers user's name and ID, password in user database, and when a tester calls for testing, the User listens to the telephone sound supported by vxml scenario. After that, if a tester logs in, the tester is verified, In the VoiceXML-based education testing system, the manager can reduce time and effort for gaining testing result. The tester listens to the voice by scenario supported by VoiceXML markup language using wire/wireless telephone at any time or anywhere and can improve the effect of foreign language studying by valuating in voice directly. verified.   • In spoken language research, transcription process needs to be carried out to translate voice data into text. Transcription tool, support program of transcription, offers various information such as content and time of utterance and speaker information. For this reason, inexperienced computer users are having trouble familiarizing with the program. Moreover, since there are little transcription tools developed domestically in Korea, they are usually not suitable for Korean environment. In this paper, we propose a transcription tool which supports not only Korean transcription but easy-to-use interface environment for novice. The transcription supporting function is also provided to minimize mistake that might happen in the process of transcription. And a system structure will be provided for data reliability. Usability of the proposed tool is evaluated in accordance with transcription experience. The evaluation result shows that transcription process and transcription support function have become faster and more convenient respectively.

  • XML(extensible Markup Language) is effective to information retrieval and sharing but has defects related to the data security. And, as a solution of this problem, the current XML security researches such as XML digital signature, XML data encryption, and XML access control exclude the validation property of XML document. The validation of XML should be considered for the secure information sharing in the XML-based environment. In this paper, we design and implement the system to support both security and validation to XML document. Our system performs data encryption and maintenance of valid status of XML document by referencing new XML schema namespace. In addition, it also provides the XML schema security function through the XML schema digital signature. During generating XML schema digital signature, DOMHash method which has the advantage of the faster speed than canonical XML method is applied to XML schema. In conclusion, our system shows the improved functions in flexibility, scalability, and reliability compared with the existing XML security researches.
