Future direction of Public e-Marketplaces focused the Evolution of Business IT (정보기술의 진화과정 측면에서 본 중개형 e-마켓플레이스의 발전방향)

  • In recent years, the number of public e-Marketplaces have grown according to the leap-frogging advancement of network technology based on open communication architecture named Internet. However, the transaction volume through public e-Marketplaces have been an immaterial increase, and some well-known sites closed their businesses. This study proposes the public e-Marketplace as an e-Business system which has been recognized the most strategic application of business information technologies (Barrett & Konsynski, 1982; Cash & Konsynski, 1985), and suggests some future strategic and technological direction which supports a firm's transaction infrastructure under internet architecture. For this purpose, it reviews evolution of business information technologies.

A Study on Consumer Trust Building in an Internet Marketplace (인터넷 오픈마켓 거래안전 요인과 소비자신뢰의 관계 연구)

  • Internet B2C marketplace such as 'Auction', 'G Market', 'Daum onket' etc.(called open market) has grown sharply in sales about yearly 100% rate increase in recent 1-2 years in Korea. Although Open marketplace has much reputation and the customer loyalty, almost of merchants participated in open market, which size in sales are medium/small, has poor reputation and trust. Consumers, who have to get in touch with untrustworthy merchants for trade in openmarket, perceive high trade risk which undergo the monetary damages such as 'merchandise never received'. This examines what factors consumer trust develop in online marketplace. This study explores several perceived risk factors in an open market by factor analysis and multi-regression to prove the relationships between the degree of trust for the merchants and the perceived trade risk. 133 data collected from the open market user data in this survey. In this study, the consumer's trade satisfaction in open market is low by 4.2 point degree of 7 point likert scale. and perceives 4 trade risk factors such as (1) 'failure to honor warranty or guarantee' (2) 'defective/poor goods in quality' (3) 'merchandise never received or received late' (4) 'poor information'. the degree of merchant's trust has significant relationship with the degree of perceived risk(sig. = 0.0000, $R^2=.327$) We find that the open market has to enhance the relationship marketing of trust by developing the strategies.

  • 초기 연구에서 볼 수 있듯이 현재가지는 기술과 마케팅에 대한 연구가 별개로 이루어졌다. 그러나 인터넷에 맞는 마케팅 전력에 대한 연구가 필요한데 이를 e-마케팅 전략이라고 한다. 현재 많이 나오고 있는 통신 소프트웨어들은 e-마켓시장에서 활용이 되며 이 곳에서 홍수 같은 정보들이 존재하며 이 정보로 인하여 잠재적인 구매자로 하여금 많은 혼돈을 일으키게 하며 현존하고 있는 e-business 전략들이 구매자에 게 최선의 결정을 이르지 못하게 한다. 본 논문은 마케팅과 결정지원 시스템 분야에서 나온 학습 모델을 합성하여 e-commerce 전략을 지원하기 위한 솔루션을 제시하는 소프트웨어의 설계 구조를 구축한다.

  • 최근 오픈마켓의 급속한 성장과 함께 다중 플랫폼을 위한 콘텐츠 시장이 확대되고 있다. 특히 오픈마켓에 등록된 콘텐츠의 약 15%가 게임콘텐츠가 차지할 만큼 게임은 오픈마켓에서 중요한 비중을 차지하고 있고, 다양한 부가가치를 창출하고 있다. 시뮬레이션게임은 크게 전략시뮬레이션게임, 레이싱시뮬레이션게임, 경영시뮬레이션게임, 육성시뮬레이션게임 등 플레이어의 역할 및 게임의 목적에 따라 다양하게 구분되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기후변화와 기상 이변으로 인한 환경파괴를 게임배경으로 하여 식물과 동물들이 살아갈 수 있는 환경을 만드는 것을 게임컨셉으로 하였으며, 다중 플랫폼 기반의 육성시뮬레이션장르에 경영적인 측면과 교육적인 기능성게임의 요소를 포함한 게임을 개발하였다.

  • E-marketplace is a kind of B2B e-Business system that supports business transactions among companies. If e-marketplace is revitalized, we expect not only the development of related industry but also decrease of transaction cost among companies. It is necessary for the introduction and revitalization of e-marketplace in tourist industry from this point of view. Participants of tour e-marketplace are tour-related companies(travel agencies, lodging enterprises, shipping enterprises, etc.). Also tourists want to search a variety of tour products or contents. So tour e-marketplace has characteristics of B2C e-Business systems as well as B2B e-Business systems at once. The purpose of this study is to classify success factors that determine characteristics of tour e-marketplace through statistics survey from e-marketplace factors related tourism websites. First of all, we analyze success factors of B2B and B2C e-marketplace. Then we will set up influence factors of tour e-marketplace and conduct a survey about success factors of tour e-marketplace. Therefore, we could expect to find these good attributes in tour e-marketplace success through logistic regression and decision tree analysis from source data.

The Impact of Consumer Characteristics Upon Trust and Purchase Intentions in B2C E-marketplaces (오픈마켓에서 개인특성이 신뢰 및 구매의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증연구)

  • The lack of customer satisfaction and trust remains a key barrier to electronic commerce. From the standpoint of online merchants, it is critical to build consumer trust by lessening sources of apprehensions and uneasiness associated with online transactions. This paper explores the relationships between customer satisfaction and intermediary's trustworthiness factors in B2C e-marketplaces. It also aims at examining the effects of consumer characteristics, including propensity to trust and Internet shopping self-efficacy, upon trust and purchase intentions. To meet the research objectives, an empirical study has been conducted by surveying 223 active e-marketplace buyers in Korea. The findings of the present research indicate that customer satisfaction positively affects all the three attributes of trustworthiness (i.e., competence, benevolence, and integrity), and more specifically it has a quite strong association with benevolence. In addition, propensity to trust has no significant influence on trust or purchasing intentions, and only affects benevolence and integrity with no direct effect on competence. Finally, Internet shopping self-efficacy was found to affect both trust and purchasing intentions, suggesting that e-marketplaces seek an online strategy designed to strengthen loyalty for customers with high self-efficacy, while they use a strategy to improve the usability and usefulness of their website to attract customers with low self-efficacy. The paper concludes with implications and directions for future research.
