One-dimensional Hydraulic Modeling of Open Channel Flow Using the Riemann Approximate Solver I : Model Development (Riemann 해법을 이용한 1차원 개수로 수리해석Ⅰ: 모형 개발)

  • The object of this study is to develop the model that solves the numerically difficult problems in hydraulic engineering and to demonstrate the applicability of this model by means of various test examples, such as, verification in the gradually varied unsteady condition, three steady flow problems with the change of bottom slope with exact solution, and frictional bed with analytical solution. The governing equation of this model is the integral form of the Saint-Venant equation satisfying the conservation laws, and finite volume method with the Riemann solver is used. The evaluation of the mass and momentum flux with the HLL Riemann approximate solver is executed. MUSCL-Hancock scheme is used to achieve the second order accuracy in space and time. This study introduce the new and simple technique to discretize the source terms of gravity and hydrostatic pressure force due to longitudinal width variation for the balance of quantity between nonlinear flux and source terms. The results show that the developed model's implementation is accurate, robust and highly stable in various flow conditions with source terms, and this model is reliable for one-dimensional applications in hydraulic engineering.

무심연삭공정의 진원도 형성해석

  • 기계부품의 소형화 , 고속화, 그리고 저공해, 저소음이 요구되는 세계적인 추세에서 정밀가공기술은 기계 및 전자산 업에서 중요한 위치를 차지하게 되었다. 특히, 무심연삭공정(Centerless Grinding)은 높은 생산성과 정확한 치수 형성의 능력이 있어서 원통형상을 가공하는 중요한 생산공정으로 사용되어 왔다. 예컨대 VCR의 소형 축. Computer Disk Drive, 초소형 모터, 연료분사기등은 쎈터레스 연삭공정을 통하여 높은 정밀도를 얻고 있다. 하지만 이 공정의 특수성과 측정의 어려움으로 인하여 이러한 정밀형상의 형성과정은 아직도 잘 밝혀져있지 않다. 무심연연삭 공정에서는 부품이 기계에 고정되어 있지 않고 공작물 받침날 위에 올려져 있으며 조절바퀴와 연삭바퀴 사이에 눌려져 있다. 조절바퀴가 마찰력으로 공작물을 돌려주며 연삭바퀴에서 연삭가공이 일어나게 된다. 조절바퀴와 연삭바퀴사이의 거리는 기계 자체의 탄성변형으로 인하여 항시 변화하게 되며 이 거리의 변화가 공작물의 정밀형상 형성에 결정적인 영향을 미치게 된다. 본 연구에서는 무심연삭공정중 공작물과 받침날, 조절바퀴, 연삭바퀴의 상대운동을 기하학적으로 해석하였다. 특히 간섭조건을 사용하여 실제 공작물의 운동을 해석하여 순간 명목 절삭깊이를 구하였다. 또한 연삭 특성실험식을 이용하여 수직 연삭력을 구하고 연삭기의 탄성변형을 구하여 순간 실제 절삭깊이를 계산하였다. 그로부터 진원도형성에 관한 기본식을 유도하였다. 본 연구에서 유도된 진원도 형성 식을 이용하여 실험과 동일한 조건으로 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 그리고 원형중의 어떤 이상형상, 즉, 홈또는 돌기는 반복되어서 다른 돌기 또는 홈을 형성 하게되며 그 반복주기는 공작물이 조절바퀴와 연삭바퀴위에 떠있는 각도에 따라 결점 됨을 확인하였다.'유창성' 에 그 목표를 두고 있는 점을 감안한다면, 시작단계부터 반드시 정확한 발음을 지녀야 하는 가의 문제도 생각해 볼 필요가 있다. 경우에 따라서는, 정확한 발음은 그 언어에 대한 숙련도가 점차 높아짐에 따라 이와 병행하여 이루어지는 경우도 흔히 경험하는 일이기 때문이다. 결국 초등영어 교육과정에도 명시되어 있듯이 '...영어에 대한 친숙함과 자신감을 심어주고, 영어에 대한 흥미와 관심을 지속적으로 유지시키는 것이 중요하기' 때문에 무엇보다 중요한 측면은 흥미와 관심을 유지시키는 지적인 학습활동보다는 정의적인 학습활동의 전개가 필요하다고 하겠다. 유리된 AA의 세포독설과 관련된 세포내의 역할에 대해 의문이 제기되었다., PCL에 SOD-1도 경미하게 나타났으나, 경련이 나타난 쥐에서는 KA만을 투여한 흰쥐와 구별되지 않았다. 이상의 APT의 항산화 효과는 KA로 인한 뇌세포 변성 개선에 중요한 인자로 작용할 것으로 사료되나, 보다 명확한 APT의 기전을 검색하고 직접 임상에 응응하기 위하여는 보다 다양한 실험 조건이 보완되어야 찰 것으로 생각된다. 항우울약들의 항혈소판작용은 PKC-기질인 41-43 kD와 20 kD의 인산화를 억제함에 기인되는 것으로 사료된다.다. 것으로 사료된다.다.바와 같이 MCl에서 작은 Dv 값을 갖는데, 이것은 CdCl$_{4}$$^{2-}$ 착이온을 형성하거나 ZnCl$_{4}$$^{2-}$ , ZnCl$_{3}$$^{-}$같은 이온과 MgCl$^{+}$, MgCl$_{2}$같은 이온종을 형성하기 때문인것 같다. 한편 어떠한 용리액에서던지 NH$_{4}$

  • Introduction of wave model, considered the effect of shoaling, refraction, diffraction, partial reflection, bottom friction, breaking at the coastal waters of complex bathymetry, is a very important factor for most coastal engineering design and disaster prevention problems. As waves move from deeper waters to shallow coastal waters, the fundamental wave parameters will change and the wave energy is redistributed along wave crests due to the depth variation, the presence of islands, coastal protection structures, irregularities of the enclosing shore boundaries, and other geological features. Moreover, waves undergo severe change inside the surf zone where wave breaking occurs and in the regions where reflected waves from coastline and structural boundaries interact with the incident waves. Therefore, the application of mild-slope equation model in this field would help for understanding of wave transformation mechanism where many other models could not deal with up to now. The purpose of this study is to form a extended mild-slope equation wave model and make comparison and analysis on variation of harbor responses in the vicinities of Pohang Old Harbor and Pohang New Port, etc. due to construction of New Port in Youngil Bay. This type of trial might be a milestone for port development in macroscale, where the induced impact analysis in the existing port due to the developemnt could be easily neglected.

Computation of Tides for Off Kyungnam Coast with Dynamically Combined Two-Dimensional and Three-Dimensional Tidal Model (2차원 및 3차원 동적복합조석모형에 의한 경남해역의 조석산정)

  • Two-dimensional and three-dimensional structures of tidal currents on southeastern waters of Korea off Kyungnam coast were investigated via a series of numerical models based on dynamic principles. With a two-dimensional tidal model, tidal regimes of major eight tidal constituents (M$_2$, S$_2$, K$_1$, O$_1$, N$_2$, K$_2$, P$_1$, Q$_1$) were computed. Model results showed that the computed results were in good agreement with coastal observations. On the basis of these results the model was further improved to compute three-dimensional structure of tidal current in inner Jinhai and Masan Bay regions of the model area where severe pollutions occur due to red tide by combination of the previous two-dimensional model and inner three-dimensional model. For this work, three-dimensional Galerkin-Spectral model and two-dimensional depth-integrated model are dynamically combined by the method presented by Davies (1980). In addition to the previous work by Davies, the advective term and quadratic bottom friction term are included in present Three-dimensional numerical model. The computed results of M$_2$ tidal current ellipses with respect to depth showed general agreements with those of current observations by KORDI (1990).

  • 영산강 하구언 방조제의 건설로 인한 항만 및 이의 인접해역 해면의 변화는 예상한 바 있으며 실제 여러개소에서 월 2회정도의 주기로 목포 구항부근 상업지역에서 해면상승에 따라 주기적으로 침수되는 현상이 나타나고 있다 목포항의 영산강 하구언 방조제 조성으로 인한 조류성분중 최고기록을 가진 수로에서는 6kts 정도로 감소된 것으로 보고되고 있으나 주위자연환경 변화에 따른 수면 상승 및 해수면의 주기적인 변화 등에 대한 상세한 언급 및 깊이 있는 분석은 회피되어왔다. 수자원의 효율적관리를 위해 하구언 방조제는 이미 건설되었고 앞으로 대규모의 항만개발과 대불산업단지조성을 위해 추가 3개의 만입해안해역에 댐으로 해역을 막아 매립공사를 추진하고 있다 그러나 이 지역에 대한 분석은 타당성의 여부만을 강조한 상업적 용역이 이루어지고 있고 장래 개발에 대해 학술적이고 실질적인 문제점 추출과 해결방아네 대해서는 무시하거나 경시한 바가 많다 더구나 태풍 저기압 등과 같은 자연재해를 고려한 분석은 시도되지 못하고 있다 따라서 개발전후의 현상에 대한 상세한 자료 및 현장 조사와 극한 상태를 고려하여 개발에 따른 수위상승 부진동, 조류 수질등 이해역의 변화요소를 수집하고 분석하며 과학적 접근방법에 기초를 둔 수치모델의 실험을 포함하여 현장관측 및 측정자료를 검증하는 것이 필수적이라고 사료되어 종합분석의 한단계로 여기서는 하구언 및 하구간척(Land Reclamatic of Estuary barren)으로 해역축소에 따른 해면변화의 실제현상을 조사하여 정리하고 이를 수치모델을 통해 시뮬레이션하여 보았다 이는 종합개발의 좋은 기초자료로 이용됨은 물론이로 이지역의 개발에 기여할 것으로본다.적절하게 가정된 지반의 응력-변형률 관계와 간극수압특성에 의하여 고려되었다. 그 결과 응력 및 변위가 심하게 발생하는 지역은 황색 점토층이었으며 이로부터 황색 점토층에서 부터 파괴면이 생성되어 다른 지역으로 전파되었음을 유추할 수 있었다.form trap with 2.88[eV] deep of injected space charge from the chathode in the crystaline regions.   • In this study, the evaluation to probability of failure for risk assessment of port structures on DCM reinforced soils, where stability and risk assessment are increasing in importance, was performed. As a random variables affecting the risk of DCM improved ground, the design strength, superposition (overlap) of construction, strength of the natural ground, internal friction angle and unit weight of the modified ground were selected and applied to the risk assessment. In addition, the failure probability for the entire system under ordinary conditions and under earthquake conditions were analyzed. As a result, it was found that the highest coefficient of variation in the random variable for the risk assessment of the DCM improved ground is the design strength, but this does not have a great influence on the safety factor, ie, the risk of the system. The main risk factor for the failure probability of the system for the DCM reinforced soils was evaluated as horizontal sliding in case of external stability and compression failure in case of internal stability both at ordinary condition and earthquake condition. In addition, the failure probability for ordinary horizontal sliding is higher than that for earthquake failure, and the failure probability for ordinary compression failure is lower than that for earthquake failure. The ordinary failure probability of the entire system is similar to the failure probability on earthquake condition, but in this case, the risk of earthquake is somewhat higher.

CO2 Exchange in Kwangneung Broadleaf Deciduous Forest in a Hilly Terrain in the Summer of 2002 (2002년 여름철 경사진 광릉 낙엽 활엽수림에서의 이산화탄소 교환)

  • We report the first direct measurement of $CO_2$ flux over Kwangneung broadleaf deciduous forest, one of the tower flux sites in KoFlux network. Eddy covariance system was installed on a 30 m tower along with other meteorological instruments from June to August in 2002. Although the study site was non-ideal (with valley-like terrain), turbulence characteristics from limited wind directions (i.e., 90$\pm$45$^{\circ}$) was not significantly different from those obtained at simple, homogeneous terrains with an ideal fetch. Despite very low rate of data retrieval, preliminary results from our analysis are encouraging and worthy of further investigation. Ignoring the role of advection terms, the averaged net ecosystem exchange (NEE) of $CO_2$ ranged from -1.2 to 0.7 mg m$^{-2}$ s$^{-1}$ from June to August in 2002. The effect of weak turbulence on nocturnal NEE was examined in terms of friction velocity (u*) along with the estimation of storage term. The effect of low uf u* NEE was obvious with a threshold value of about 0.2 m s$^{-1}$ . The contribution of storage term to nocturnal NEE was insignificant; suggesting that the $CO_2$ stored within the forest canopy at night was probably removed by the drainage flow along the hilly terrain. This could be also an artifact of uncertainty in calculations of storage term based on a single-level concentration. The hyperbolic light response curves explained >80% of variation in the observed NEE, indicating that $CO_2$ exchange at the site was notably light-dependent. Such a relationship can be used effectively in filling up the missing gaps in NEE data through the season. Finally, a simple scaling analysis based on a linear flow model suggested that advection might play a significant role in NEE evaluation at this site.

Coastal Water Circulation Modeling with Water Exchange through Permeable Dike (투수성 호안제체을 통한 해수교환을 고려한 해수유동 모의)

  • In coastal zones with high tidal ranges like Korean western coast, port construction and reclamation projects have been increased. Most of the projects include sea-dyke construction. In the sea-dykes constructed to protect sea water intrusion, sea water was exchanged through the permeable dykes. The water level inside the area enclosed by the dykes changes with time due to tidal action of outer sea, but the tidal range is smaller than that of outside because of strong friction. In numerical modeling of coastal circulation the water exchange through the dykes has been neglected, which has produced inaccurate estimation neglecting the water exchange. In this study a method, which can consider water exchange through sea-dyke, was suggested and the modeling accuracy was improved. A groundwater theory was utilized to explain the phenomena.

  • A shoreline, which has no the water depth, moves continuously as waves rise up and recede. Therefore, a special boundary treatment is required to track properly the movements of the shoreline in numerical modeling of the behavior of tsunamis or tides near a coastal zone. In this study, convective terms in nonlinear shallow-water equations are discretized explicitly by using a second-order upwind scheme to describe a moving shoreline more accurately. An oscillatory flow motion in a circular paraboloidal basin has been employed to validate the performance of the developed numerical model. Computed results of instantaneous free surface displacements are compared with those of analytical solutions and existing numerical solutions. The run-up heights in the vicinity of a circular island have also been calculated and obtained numerical results have been shown against available laboratory measurements. A good agreement has been observed.
