  • 쿠버네티스는 컨테이너 오케스트레이션 플랫폼으로, 마이크로서비스 운영에 널리 사용된다. 이는 쿠버네티스가 오토스케일링을 지원하여 서비스 제공자가 부하의 변동에 효과적으로 대응할 수 있도록 지원하기 때문이다. 본 논문은 쿠버네티스 환경에서 runc 와 runsc 두 런타임을 대상으로 CPU 및 I/O 집약적 부하를 주는 웹 애플리케이션을 실행하여 처리 성능을 분석했다. 분석 결과 초당 요청 수가 일정 수준을 넘자 성능이 급락하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 워크로드를 고려한 오토스케일링의 필요성을 제고한다.

  • In this paper, Electronic Drum based on Arduino and Processing language to communicate with a computer is implemented. First, we made a drum pad by using piezoelectric sensors. The drum pads prevent damage to the sensor and new mechanism was fabricated to mitigate the impact structure. Arduino connected to the pad, the sensor detects a signal when the shock sends it to Arduino. The received signal of Arduino sends a signal to the computer, and the signal received is stored in the computer to output sound of the drum. Through this structure, the micro-controller, the computer and communications technology can be combined and applicable to a many system.

  • This paper describes development and validation processes of a low-cost hardware based flight control computer designed for multi-rotor UAVs. The developed flight control computer controls multi-rotors stable and can handle complex flight missions using an integrated high-performance Linux computer. A complementary filter generates a navigation solution with 500 Hz, and a proposed observer significantly reduces measurement noise. A control algorithm utilizes a feed-forward term computed by a three-dimensional curve fitting method, and it increases tracking performance. The developed flight control system has been fully tested through several test flights, and it can apply to real flight environments.

  • 기계번역 품질 예측 (Quality Estimation, QE)은 정답 문장에 대한 참조없이 소스 문장과 기계번역 결과를 통해 기계번역 결과에 대한 품질을 수준별 주석으로 나타내주는 태스크이며, 다양한 활용도가 있다는 점에서 꾸준히 연구가 수행되고 있다. 그러나 QE 모델 학습을 위한 데이터 구성 시 기계번역 결과에 대해 번역 전문가가 교정한 문장이 필요한데, 이를 제작하는 과정에서 상당한 인건비와 시간 비용이 발생하는 한계가 있다. 본 논문에서는 번역 전문가 없이 병렬 또는 단일 말뭉치와 기계번역기만을 활용하여 자동화된 방식으로 한국어-영어 합성 QE 데이터를 구축하며, 최초로 단어 수준의 한국어-영어 기계번역 결과 품질 예측 모델을 제작하였다. QE 모델 제작 시에는 Cross-lingual language model (XLM), XLM-RoBERTa (XLM-R), multilingual BART (mBART)와 같은 다언어모델들을 활용하여 비교 실험을 수행했다. 또한 기계번역 결과에 대한 품질 예측의 객관성을 검증하고자 구글, 아마존, 마이크로소프트, 시스트란의 번역기를 활용하여 모델 평가를 진행했다. 실험 결과 XLM-R을 활용하여 미세조정학습한 QE 모델이 가장 좋은 성능을 보였으며, 품질 예측의 객관성을 확보함으로써 QE의 다양한 장점들을 한국어-영어 기계번역에서도 활용할 수 있도록 했다.

  • Traditionally embedded microprocessors is considered as a device for low- and simple-computations because of its limited computing power and constrained resources. However high-end embedded devices have been developed and many applications are getting feasible in the embedded devices. To provide secure and robust service environments, security on embedded devices are in order. Recently many research results on embedded devices have been proposed. In this paper, we explore various cryptography implementation results on representative 8-, 16- and 32-bit embedded processors including AVR, MSP and ARM. This report would be helpful for following researchers who are interested in cryptography implementation techniques on resource constrained devices.

A Study on the Cylindrical Microstrip Antenna for ISM Band Applications (ISM 대역용 원통형 마이크로스트립 안테나에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, the antenna was proposed for the omni-directional characteristic in horizontal plane. Therefore we proposed $1{\times}4$ microstrip patch array on cylindrical surface for studying microstrip patch antennas. This antenna is designed for 2.45GHz ISM band and applications. This antenna can be applied to the base station of wireless microphone and access point of wireless LAN. The length and width of the patch antenna and the width of the feed line were calculated by using the theory of microstrip patch antenna, by using the both the 2.5D and 3D EM simulators the optimized antenna characteristics are obtained. From result of measured, antenna's impedance of coaxial waveguide port was 51.915-j3.688 ${\Omega}$, the return loss was -31dB and VSWR was 1.081.

  • 본 논문은 마이크로 프로세스로 처리되는 여러 제어장치들 중에서 PI제어기의 최적 자동동조에 관한 개선된 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 이 방법은 Relay 자동동조 법으로서 이를 마이크로 프로세스에 응용하여 제어대상에 최적의 PI계수를 입력하게된다. 이를 위해 먼저 Computer와 DSP사이에 통신이 가능하도록 RS-232를 설치하고, 컴퓨터의 제어신호에 따라 모터의 속도가 Relay와 PI제어기에 의해 목표값에 도달할 수 있도록 설계하였다. 내부적으로 사용된 Relay 동조방식은 Relay로 제어대상의 출력을 강제로 진등시켜서 출력의 진폭과 주기를 이용하여 PI 계수를 조정하고 제어기의 입력값으로 선택된다. Relay동조 법은 동조과정이 간단하여 동조 방식의 구현이 쉽다. 또 위상여유를 고려하여 제어기의 계수를 조정하기 때문에 시스템의 견실성을 향상시킬 수 있을 뿐 아니라, 비례 제어만으로 임계 진동을 하지 않는 시스템의 경우에도 사용할 수 있고, 원점에 극점이 있는 경우에도 적용할 수 있어서 기존의 제어방식이 가지는 제약성의 한계를 극복할 수 있어서 적용성이 우수하다.

  • In an islanded operation mode of a microgrid, load shedding is used to balance between the power supplied and the power demanded. The conventional load-shedding schemes have considered that a load uses a continuous range of values to present its load demand. However, in reality, some loads use integer and discrete values. We design a multi-agent system for the load shedding with consideration of the discrete characteristic of load demands. Besides, we define a control architecture, functionalities of agents, and interactions among agents for implementation of the system. Through experiments in various test scenarios, we show the feasibility and performance of the system.

  • In order to utilize KOSMOS, the performance evaluation results are presented in this paper with CloudSuite, an application service-based benchmark program in the cloud computing area. CloudSuite offers several distinct applications as cloud services in two parts: offline applications and online applications on containers. In comparison with other microservers which have similar hardware specifications of KOSMOS, it was observed that KOSMOS was superior in all CloudSuite benchmark applications. KOSMOS also showed higher performance than Intel Xeon CPU-based servers in an offline application. KOSMOS reduced completion time during executing Graph Analytics by 30.3% and 72.3% compared to two Intel Xeon CPU-based servers in an experimental configuration of multiple nodes in KOSMOS.

  • A microcomputer-based on-line monitoring and controlling system was built and applied to the dehycration operation. Drying conditions-drying temperatures and air velocities-were successfully controlled by the control deveices incorporated on/off realy and thyristor, and with the high language program. Drying variables-temperature in drier and weight loss of radish slice were accurately measured and acquisited. The computer-based drying system effectively saved the man power required to measure and record data during the drying period and also made possible to conduct the process undisturbed for long period. The drying rate curves of radish at various drying conditions were obtained from automatic data analyzing program. And also the computer programmed control made possible to investigate the effect of air velocity change during the drying period. The dynamic change of air velocity of from one to another level could be performed and affected markedly the drying rate at first stages of drying, but no significant effect were found in falling rate period.
