국내 저널에 게재된 마음챙김 명상관련 연구 동향 분석 (Research Trends on Mindfulness Meditation in Korea)

  • Background : Meditation is one healing therapy used to prevent and cure ailments and to improve health through regular practice. Although Meditation are within the paradigm of modern Western medical science, effects on the human body could be possible. Objectives : This study performed a systematic review of the literature published in Korea focused on mindfulness meditation (MM), which is being applied as mind-body therapy around the USA lately. Method : Three hundred sixty six articles were found after searching with keyword, 'mindfulness meditation (MM)' in 6 journals and web databases. Ninety papers related MM were analyzed trend. Result : Since the 2000s, MM papers in the Korean Literature is increased. Published 78 papers on psychology were most. 15 papers published in The Journal of Korean Psychological Association are the best in many areas related to psychology. Most people have submitted papers related to MM was Kim Jeong-ho. Conclusions : MM is being clinically applied at both western and oriental hospital in Korea, but more clinical trials with the high quality are needed to support its scientific basis.

청소년의 행복감 향상을 위한 요가와 차 명상 복합 프로그램 개발을 위한 기초연구 (A Study to develop a Combined Yoga and Tea Meditation program to Enhance the Happiness for Adolescents)

  • This research aimed to determine how a combined yoga and tea meditation program would affect the happiness of adolescents. The investigation was conducted over a total of 11 sessions held twice a week with 15 female middle-school students. Each session lasted 90 min and comprised preparation for 5 min, Hatha yoga for 50 min, tea meditation for 15 min, the expression of feelings for 15 min, and 5 min were allocated to finishing the program and announcing the next session time. A t-test was performed before and after the program to analyze the effects of the program. A goodness of fit test, which is related to the improvement of happiness, was done through a path analysis. As a result, we were able to determine meaningful changes in the t-test scores of happiness, stress, and quality of life. The scores of mindfulness, physical self-concept, and self efficiency changed positively, but meaningful changes were not shown. To derive a final conclusion, we verified the mediator effect with respect to happiness through a structural model. Consequently, physical self-concept was activated as a promoter for improving self-efficiency and mindfulness. Mindfulness was the key factor that improved the happiness of the adolescent subjects.

회장루 보유자의 마음챙김명상을 접목한 회복탄력성 증진 프로그램 개발 및 효과 (Development and Evaluation of Resilience Enhancement Program Applying Mindfulness Meditation in Patients with Ileostomy)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a resilience enhancement program applying mindfulness meditation (REP-MM) and evaluate the effects of the program on post-traumatic stress (PTS), resilience, and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in patients with ileostomy. Methods: The REP-MM was developed by combining the resilience enhancement program with mindfulness meditation according to four patterns. The program was developed through identifying patients' needs, reviewing relevant literature, developing a preliminary program, and testing content validity and user evaluation. The participants were 55 patients with ileostomy. We conveniently assigned 27 patients to the experimental group and 28 to the control group. The study was conducted in conducted in a hospital from January 22 to May 30, 2019. The REPMM was provided to the experimental group, and conventional ileostomy care was provided to the control group using a nonequivalent control-group pretest-posttest design. Results: ANCOVA revealed that the levels of PTS (F = 321.64, p < .001), resilience (F = 111.86, p < .001), and HRQoL (F = 31.08, p < .001) in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group when comparing pretest to posttest changes. Conclusion: The REP-MM is effective in PTS, resilience, and HRQoL in patients suffering from post-stoma creation crisis. The REP-MM can induce positive self-recognition changes in patients with ileostomy through dispositional, situational, relational, and philosophical interventions. We suggest nurses reduce PTS and improve resilience and HRQoL in patients with ileostomy.

마음챙김 명상관련 국내 임상연구 동향 분석 (Clinical Research Trends on Mindfulness Meditation in Korea)

  • Background : Meditation is one of the healing therapies used to prevent and cure ailments and to improve health through regular practice. Although Meditation is within the paradigm of modern Western medical science, effects on the human body could be possible. Objectives : This study performed a systematic review of the literature published in Korea focused on mindfulness meditation (MM), which is being applied as mind-body therapy around the USA lately. Ninety papers related MM were analyzed trend, Seventeen randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and 38 controlled clinical trials (CCTs) were researched by systematic review. Result : Most of them were studies about relationship between MM and syndrome such as stress, depression, anxiety and MM was also applied to some disease like hypertension, temporomandibular joint disorder in some cases. In 55 studies, It was shown that MM has positive effects on various symptoms and sometimes the effect of MM showed at post and follow-up study although there was no significant difference between control group and experimental group in some cases according to outcome measurement. Interestingly, there was no study reported about side effects of MM after the application. Conclusions : MM is being clinically applied at both western and oriental hospital in Korea, but more clinical trials with the high quality are needed to support its scientific basis.

사상체질에 따라 마음챙김 명상이 분노에 미친 영향 연구 (The Effects of Mindfulness Meditation on Anger according to Sasang Constitution)

  • Objectives In this study, we tried to examine that Sasang Constitutional differences affect the direction of the treatment of anger by comparing the effect of mindfulness meditation for anger scale in accordance with the difference of the constitution. Methods We analysed 105 college student's Constitution by Questionnaire for the Sasang Constitution Classification II and the effect of mindfulness meditation for anger by State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory Korean version(STAXI-K), Korean Version of the Behavioral Anger Response Questionnaire(K-BARQ). Volunteers who participated in this study were 105 people, except for person that did not properly entered the anger scale and Questionnaire for the Sasang Constitution Classification II, the subjects of analysis for State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory Scale were 45 and for the Behavioral Anger Scale were 49. Results & Conclusions The result of the effects of mindfulness meditation according to Sasang Constitution was as follows. The tendency to try to disperse and avoid the anger was increased through meditation for all subjects. The diffusion of male subjects and the avoidance of female subjects was increased. The effect of meditation on anger did not differ according to Sasang Constitution, constitutional differences did not affect the effects of meditation. The tendency of avoidance of anger was increased in Soyangin, Anger-out was decreased and the tendency of avoidance and diffusion of anger were decreased in Taeeumin through meditation.

마음챙김 명상과 이정변기요법을 이용한 공황장애 그룹치료 효과에 대한 임상적 고찰 (A Study on the Clinical Effects of Group Therapy for Panic Disorder Patients Based on Mindfulness & Li-Gyeung-Byun-Qi Therapy)

  • Objectives: This study was conducted to evaluate the clinical effects of group therapy for Panic disorder patients based on Mindfulness & Li-Gyeung-Byun-Qi therapy. Methods: The FFMQ, BDI, STAI, STAXI, Panic attack, Anticipatory anxiety and subjective improvement of three Panic disorder patients were compared pre- and post-treatment when given Mindfulness & Li-Gyeung-Byun-Qi therapy. Results: 1) After the patient in case 1 underwent 5 weeks of group therapy for Panic disorder, the Mindfulness meditation score was slightly improved, anxiety and depression were significantly decreased, and expression of anger was also improved. In addition, the Panic attack and Anticipatory anxiety became more stable in the objective evaluation, while 'Extreme improvement' was shown in the subjective evaluation. 2) After the patients in case 2 and 3 underwent 5 weeks of group therapy for Panic disorder, Mindfulness meditation scores were slightly improved, anxiety and depression were significantly decreased, and expression of anger was also improved. In addition, the Panic attack and Anticipatory anxiety became more stable in the objective evaluation, while 'Moderate improvements' were shown in the subjective evaluation. Conclusions: As per the results in these cases, it was shown that group therapy for Panic disorder utilizing Mindfulness & Li-Gyeung-Byun-Qi therapy was effective to maintain meditation and control the emotions of anxiety, depression, anger and so on. Therefore, it was considered that expansion of clinical utilization through the standardization of a group therapy program for Panic disorder is needed. Furthermore, it was also considered that a comparative study of the effects of previous cognitive programs for Panic disorder according to the objectified and standardized manual is needed in the future.

사회정서학습 기반의 학교 밖 STEAM 프로그램의 효과 (Effects of Out-of-school STEAM Programs Based on Social-Emotional Learning)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 교육 소외계층 저학년을 위한 사회정서학습기반의 학교밖 STEAM 프로그램 모형을 개발하고 적용하는 것이다. 이를 위해 사회정서학습(Social Emotional Learning, SEL) 기반 STEAM 프로그램을 개발하였고, 그 특징은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 본 프로그램에는 전통적인 STEAM 학습요소와 SEL 요소를 통합하여, 마음 챙김 명상-상황제시-창의적 설계-감성적 체험-성찰과 같은 일관된 구성 체계로 설계하였다. 둘째, 초등학생들이 일상생활 속 문제상황에서 수학적 사고와 과학적 탐구능력을 기를 수 있도록 구성하였다. 셋째, 각 STEAM 프로그램별 세부 주제를 스토리텔링 문제 상황과 놀이 및 교감 중심 활동으로 구성하여 교육 소외계층 아동들의 학습 요구를 반영하였다. 이러한 특징을 바탕으로 총 33차시의 5개의 프로그램을 개발하여 전국 16개 지역아동센터의 16명의 교사와 354명의 초등 저학년 학생에게 시범 적용하였고, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, STEAM 프로그램에 대한 전체 학생의 만족도는 4.16이었으며, 학생 성별에 따른 STEAM 만족도의 유의한 차이는 없었다. 둘째 전체 학생의 STEAM 태도의 하위 영역 중 흥미와 자아효능감은 유의하게 향상되었으나, 학생 성별에 따른 STEAM 태도의 유의한 차이는 없었다. 셋째, 전체 학생의 전체 사회정서학습 역량의 향상이 유의하지는 않았지만, 관계 기술은 유의하게 향상되었으며, 학생 성별에 따른 사회정서학습 역량의 유의한 차이는 없었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 교육 소외계층을 위한 학교 밖 STEAM 프로그램의 효과에 관한 논의와 함께 후속 연구에 대한 방향을 제언하였다.
