An Analysis on the Influence of Wheel Flange Wear on the Vibration of EMU (전동차 차륜답면 마모에 따른 차량 진동 특성 영향 분석)

  • We have conducted an experimental study to analyze characteristics of the wheel profile wear and an influence of the wheel flange wear on the vehicle's vibration characteristics. In experiment with EMU, wheel profile wear is severe at the beginning of the commercial operation. In this stage, the variations of the wheel dimension parameters and equivalent conicity is changed rapidly. Along with a mileage of the test vehicle, the wear of the wheel flange is increased and also the vibration level of the car-body is increased. The peak-peak mean value of the body vibration is estimated as good level, but the level is approached at the limit of the good level as mileage increases. Especially, the peak-peak maximum value of the body vibration shows the distinct increase of vibration level.

Errects of the Length of Carbon Fiber on the Wear Properties of Carbon/Carbon Composites (탄소/탄소 복합재료의 마모특성에 대한 탄소섬유 길이의 영향)

  • In this paper the effects of the length of carbon fiber on the wear properties of carboni carbon composites were investigated. Carbon/carbon composites were fabricated by the liquid impregnation method using the resol-type phenolic resin as a matrix precursor and PAN-based, non-surface treated carbon fiber as a reinforcement. The measured values of the friction coefficient of carbon/carbon composites against AlSl 304 stainless steel ranged from 0.2 to 0.3 under the operating condition used in this study. The effect of the length of carbon fiber on the friction coefficient of carbon/carbon composites were not found. But, it was realized that the wear rate of carbon/carbon composites tends to increase, as the length of carbon fiber increases.

  • The Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) disc cutter is subjected to wear and damage during the rock excavation process, and the worn disc cutter should be replaced on time. The manual inspection by workers is generally required to determine the disc cutter replacement. In this case, the workers are exposed to dangerous environments, and the measurements are sometimes inaccurate. In this study, we developed a technology that measures the disc cutter wear in real time. From a series of laboratory tests, a magnetic sensor was selected as the wear sensor, and the real-time disc cutter measurement system was developed integrating wireless communication modules, power supply and data processing board. In addition, the measurement system was verified in actual TBM excavation circumstances. As a result, it was confirmed that the accuracy and stability of the system.

  • API X-80강재의 수소유기균열(HIC)현상을 비파괴적으로 평가하는 장치를 구축하고 금상학적 평가를 수행하였다. 시편은 열간 압연된 API X-80강재이며 평균입도는 약 $1.76-1.99{\mu}m$ 이었다. 압연재의 금상학적 집합조직은 (110)극점은 ND방향에 평행, (100)극점은 TD방향으로 약 $30^{\circ}$, TD방향으로부터 RD방향으로 약 $45^{\circ}$ 기울어져 있으며, (211)면은 RD방향에 수직인 면으로부터 TD방향으로 약 $35^{\circ}$ 기울어져서 있었다. Pin-on-disk형 마모시험기를 이용한 상온 평균 마찰계수는 0.745였으며 마모손실은 0.0196 mm/min 이었다. 3축 제어 초음파 비파괴 검사 장비는 표면으로부터 약 3mm 깊이의 1 mm 크기의 모의 균열을 탐촉자가 10 mm 접근하면 검출이 가능하였다. HIC시험분위기(NACE-standard TM 0248)에 1일 이상 장입하면 초음파비파괴검사장비로 측정될 수 있는 마이크로미터크기의 균열을 측정할 수 있었다.

  • 하이브리드 표면처리는 다른 표면처리법을 동시 또는 연속적으로 행하여 단일표면처리에 비해 더욱 우수한 특성을 부여시키기 위한 표면처리법이다. 본 연구는 붕소와 질소 원소를 이용한 하이브리드 표면처리를 오스테나이트계 스테인리스강인 STS 316L 소재에 적용하여 변화된 특성을 평가하였다. 본 실험에 사용된 하이브리드 표면처리법으로는 붕소분말을 이용한 보로나이징처리와 활성스크린을 이용한 이온질화처리법을 적용하였다. 하이브리드 표면처리된 STS 316L시편은 FE-SEM을 이용하여 표면형상 및 단면조직을 관찰하였으며 GDS와 XRD를 이용하여 깊이에 따른 원소 및 상분석을 실시하였다. 또한 마이크로비커스 경도계와 마모시험기를 이용하여 경도와 마모특성을 측정하였고, 염수분무시험을 통하여 해수환경에서 부식거동을 평가하였다.

A STUDY ON TOOTHBRUSH ABRASION OF CERVICAL RESTORATIVE MATERIALS (치경부 심미수복재의 잇솔질 마모에 관한 연구)

  • This study was performed to evaluate the toothbrush abrasion characteristics of seven commercially available light-cured cervical restorative materials one resin-modified glass-ionomer material(Fuji II LC) three polyacid-modified composites(Compoglass, Dyract, F2000), and three light-cured composites(Heliomolar, Palpique Estelite, UniFil F). All samples were stored in distilled water at $37^{\circ}C$ for 10 days. 2.0N of weight was loaded during the test and the abraded surfaces were examined with profilometer and SEM after 100,000 cycles. The results obtained were summarized as follows; 1. The highest hardness value of 79.7 was observed in the FT group and the lowest value of 20.0 was observed in the HM group. Results of Tukey test showed that an overall significant difference was indicated except the CG and DR groups(p<0.05). 2. The highest surface roughness was observed in the FL group and the lowest was observed in the UF group. Results of Tukey test showed the significant difference between the FL or FT and UF groups(p<0.05). 3. Statistically higher abrasion and surface roughness were observed for the dentifrice of paste type, Perio A+, than for that of gel paste type, Tom & Jerry. 4. The surface roughness values increased on the abraded surfaces because of the protrusion of filler particles due to selective removal of matrix resin.

Performance Evaluation of Multi-Friction Dampers for Seismic Retrofitting of Structures (구조물 내진보강을 위한 다중 마찰댐퍼의 성능 평가)

  • This paper is a study on the friction damper, which is one of the seismic reinforcement devices for structures. This study developed a damper by replacing the internal friction material with ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE), a type of composite material. In addition, this study applied a multi-friction method in which the internal structure where frictional force is generated is laminated in several layers. To verify the performance of the developed multi-friction damper, this study performed a characteristic analysis test for the basic physical properties, wear characteristics, and disc springs of the material. As a result of the wear test, the mass reduction rate of UHMWPE was 0.003%, which showed the best performance among the friction materials based on composite materials. Regarding the disc spring, this study secured the design basic data from the finite element analysis and experimental test results. Moreover, to confirm the quality stability of the developed multi-friction damper, this study performed an seismic load test on the damping device and the friction force change according to the torque value. The quality performance test result showed a linear frictional force change according to the torque value adjustment. As a result of the seismic load test, the allowable error of the friction damper was less than 15%, which is the standard required by the design standards, so it satisfies the requirements for seismic reinforcement devices.

Basic Study on Development of Forest Road Pavement Using Eco-Friendly Method (친환경 임도포장공법 개발을 위한 기초연구)

  • This study carried out fundamental study on the forest road pavement method of cementing the ground using the compaction equipment after laying by mixing with eco-friendly stabilizer, natural soil and water. Target strength of pavement was set to 2.0MPa and the specimen was produced per mixing ratio of cement, kinds of natural soil and curing period to evaluate the durability and unconfined compressive strength. Unconfined compressive strength test was conducted to compare strength by producing the test specimen mixing environment-friendly cement as well as the test specimen mixing cement with the same mixing ratio. To evaluate the durability, surface abrasion test and water flow resistance test were conducted. In addition, SB and GB tests were conducted using iron marble and golf ball to evaluate the walking satisfaction since it can be used by visitors due to the feature of forest road.

고체윤활용 $MoS$_{2}$ Bonded Film의 마찰마모 특성에 관한 실험적 고찰

  • Bonded film을 형성시키기 위한 대표적인 고체윤활제들로는 이황화-몰리브데늄, 이황화-텅스텐(WS$_{2}$), 보론-나이트라이드(BN), 흑연(Graphite) 등을 들 수 있으며, 이들 고체윤활제를 표면에 효과적으로 부착시키기 위하여 사용되는 수지류는 페놀 및 에폭시계수지 등이 사용되고 있아. Bonded film의 마찰마모특성은 이와 간이 피막 내에 첨가된 고체윤활제 및 수지의 종류, 고체윤활 입자들의 크기 및 순도,그리고 이들 상호간의 배합비율 등에 의하여 크게 좌우되며, 아울러 피막 내에 소량으로 첨가될 수 있는 여러 가지 보조첨가제들에 의해서도 크게 영향을 받는 것으로 알려져 있다. 고체윤활제 성분들의 조성과 더불어, 재료표면의 물리화학적인 전처리 조건도 매우 중요한 요인이 될 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 윤활피막내 고체윤활제들의 배합, 고체윤활피막의 표면전처리 방법들을 변화하고 이들에 따른 상기 고체윤활피막들의 마찰 및 마모 특성에 관하여 시험을 행하였다.

산비 특성에 따른 인산-망간 화성처리 피막의 내마모 특성 평가

  • 본 연구는 다양한 전산도와 유리산도 간의 산비에 따른 인산-망간 화성처리를 바탕으로 각 산비 조건에 따른 피막특성을 SEM과 EDAX로 확인 하였다. 더불어 내마모특성을 확인하고자 내마모시험을 통해 산비 조건에 따른 피막의 마찰계수를 확인하여 분석결과를 토대로 인산-망간 화성처리의 최적 산비를 도출하였다. 그 결과 산비 7.3 부근에서 최적의 표면 및 기계적 특성을 확보하였으며, 산비가 8.4로 지나치게 높거나, 산비가 6.0으로 떨어지게 되면 유리산도가 지나치게 높으면 피막 생성속도 및 결정성이 저하되어 위의 특성이 저하됨을 알 수 있었다.
