Implementation of Bi-directional Broadcasting System Using Interaction Channel (대화 채널을 이용한 양방향 방송 시스템의 구현)

  • In this paper. we design and implement a bi-directional broadcasting system, so called return channel server, to allow users to participate in a broadcasting program by using a hi-directional interaction channel. To provide user participation in a program and reflect the user's opinions or responses in real time, the return channel server can be viewed as consisting of four major functional modules: a control module, network interface module, DBMS module, and real-time content authoring module. To construct a return channel server that has a service independent architecture, we designed a return channel server to include the hierarchical structure. The presented return channel server consists of two parts: an RCSAE(return channel server application environment) and RCSA(return channel server application). An RCSA is composed of an execution code and a parameter for executing the execution code. RCSA defines the procedures for providing a specific broadcasting program using the return channel server. On the other hand, an RCSAE provides the environment for the execution of RCSAS. By adopting RCSAE and RCSA, we construct the return channel server that has a service-independent architecture which are shown by the test.

A Study for the Efficient Memory Management in time of using Cross Compiler (크로스 컴파일러에서의 효율적인 메모리 사용 기법에 대한 연구)

  • 본 논문은 RTOS(Real-Time Operation System, 리턴어드레스를 위한 유저스택사용 RTOS가 탑재된 CE(Consumer Electronic)제품상에서 리턴어드레스가 유저스택으로 저장하는 것을 지원하지 않는 컴파일러를 위한 알고리즘이며 실험을 위하여 제안된 알고리즘을 상용 컴파일러에 적용하여 비교해보도록 하겠다. 우선 기존 컴파일러 알고리즘으로는 Task마다 할당된 유저스택영역이 존재하며 Task가 수행중 발생된 리턴어드레스는 즉시 할당된 유저스택으로 저장하는 알고리즘을 갖고있다. 이런 알고리즘으로 인하여 인스트럭션이 수행중 빈번한 메모리 접근(external memory)가 발생한다. 그러나 제안된 알고리즘은 Task 수행중에는 리턴어드레스를 시스템스택(internal memory)에 저장한 후 Task 전환이 발생할 경우 일시에 시스템 스택에 저장된 리턴어드레스를 유저스택으로 이동하게 되므로 Task 수행중에는 시스템 스택만을 접근하므로 task의 수행시간을 단축할 수가 있다. 그리고 실험을 위하여 상용 컴파일러들에 본 알고리즘을 적용하였다. 상용 컴파일러로는 매번 리턴어드레스를 자동으로 Task별 할당된 유저스택에 저장할 수 있도록 지원해주는 TASKING 컴파일러(Altium 사)와 그렇지 않은 KEIL컴파일러(KEIL사)가 있으며 본 알고리즘을 KEIL 컴파일러에 적용하여 실험을 하여 TASKING 컴파일러와 비교한 결과 유저스택을 지원하는 TASKING(Altium사) 컴파일러에서 구현한 CE제품의 Response time이 KEIL 컴파일러에서 구현한 CE제품의 Response time 값이 같게 나왔다. 그러므로 KEIL 컴파일러상에 본 알고리즘을 적용시킬 경우 RTOS가 탑재된 CE제품을 보다 용이하게 구현할 수가 있다.

Shape Recognition Using Skeleton Image Based on Mathematical Morphology (수리형태론적 스켈리턴 영상을 이용한 형상인식)

  • In this paper, we propose improved method to recognize the shape for enhancing the quality of the pattern recognition system by compressing the source images. In the proposed method, we reduced the data amount by skeletonizing the source images using mathematical morphology, and then matched patterns after accomplishing the translation and scale normalization, and rotation invariance on the transformed images. Through the scale normalization, it was possible for the shape recognition at minimum amount of the pixel by giving the weight to the skeleton pixel. As the source images was replaced by the skeleton images, it was possible to reduce the amount of data and computational loads dramatically, and so become much faster even with a smaller memory capacity. Through the experiment, we investigated the optimum scale factor and good result was proved when realizing the pattern recognition system.

  • The existing data broadcasting system has the mechanism that the receiving device should download repetitively the entire broadcasting application data until it acquires the whole of the application data. This mechanism takes long time for the download. To solve this problem this paper proposes a scheme that the device effectively downloads the missing parts of broadcasting application data through the return channel and shows the performance evaluations of the proposed scheme with respect to the experiment.

  • 파워시프트는 동력전달의 단속 없이 변속할 수 있는 변속 방식이다. 기어는 동기 물림식으로 되어 있으며, 유압 클러치를 통하여 주행 중에도 동력의 흐름을 제어할 수 있다. 주요 구성 요소는 동력 흐름을 제어할 수 있는 유압 클러치와 동력을 전달하는 기어 조합이며, 유압 클러치는 피스톤, 리턴 스프링, 디스크, 플레이트 등으로 구성되어 있다. 접속 시에는 유압 피스톤이 리턴 스프링을 압축하며 전진하여 플레이트와 디스크에 수직력을 가하고 이를 결합시켜 동력을 전달한다. 해제 시에는 리턴 스프링에 의하여 피스톤이 후퇴하고 동력이 차단된다. 이때 유압 제어 시스템은 최대 견인 부하에서도 변속을 원활하게 하기 위하여, 클러치 압력을 이용해 변속 중 작동 클러치의 토크를 정교하게 제어한다.   • In this study, the hydraulic breaker system was analyzed and simulated using. The simulation result was certified comparing with the experimental result. From the parametric analysis, the effects of each factor were revealed. Through the simulation with varying parameters, the method to reduce the return line pressure fluctuation was presented.

  • We analyze the performances of MC-CDMA and MC-DS/CDMA systems on quasi-synchronized mobile satellite return link. Quasi-synchronization is considered that chip offset between user terminals is within a few chips. Since the transmitted signals of MC-CDMA and MC-DS/CDMA systems have non-constant envelop, they are easily distorted by nonlinearity of transmit amplifier. Since the nonlinear amplifier input signal level of MC-CDMA system using Walsh code to employ frequency domain spreading is lower than that of MC-DS/CDMA system, performance of single user in MC-CDMA system is respectively 2.3dB and 1dB better than that of MC-DS/CDMA system when amplifier input backoff is 0dB and 6dB. However, since interference of MC-DS/CDMA is less than that of MC-CDMA with many subcarriers in quasi-synchronization and AWGN channel, MC-DS/CDMA system is much better than MC-CDMA system as the number of users increases.

  • 21C 정보화시대를 맞이하여 반도체 산업이 급속하게 발전함에 따라 컴퓨터를 활용한 효율성이 높은 유틸리티 관리 시스템(New Utility Management System) 기술이 중요시되는 추세이다. 본 연구에서는 유틸리티 관리시스템의 한 부분인 냉수 시스템에 대해 정상상태 유동해석을 통하여 각 구성 요소에서의 유량 및 압력, 온도를 제공할 수 있는 컴퓨터해석시스템을 구현하였다. 효율성 증대를 위해 펌프 위치에 따른 시스템 변화를 파악하여 시스템에 영향을 크게 미칠 수 있는 펌프 즉, 가동하면 효율적인 펌프를 결정하였으며 최적의 리턴라인(Return Line) 위치를 설계하였다. 이 결과는 운전 및 관리의 효율성 증대와 에너지 절감을 위하여 매우 유익한 활용이 가능하다.

  • Many researches have been performed to resist buffer overflow attacks. However, the attack still poses one of the most important issue in system security field. It is because programmers are using library functions containing security hole and once buffer overflow vulnerability has been found, the security patches are distributed after the attacks are widely spreaded. In this paper, we propose a new cache level return address stack architecture for resisting buffer overflow attack. We implemented our hardware onto SimpleScalar simulator and verified its functionality. Our circuit can overcome the various disadvantages of previous works with small overhead.

  • There are two types of electric controlled fuel injection system in the gasoline engines of common vehicles. One is fuel return system and the other is fuel returnless system according to the methods of controlling injection pressures. It is important to understand the characteristics of these system in loaming and studying of engine, but it is very difficult without a special equipment in reality. The purpose of this paper is to develop the emulation system that can be compensated with the amount of injection fuel according to various driving conditions, battery voltage, cooling water temperature, and engine speed, may be appeared in real driving, and especially can analyze the difference between the electric signal controlling the amount of injection fuel and its result, and nullity injection duration. With the developed system, we can conveniently set various and completed driving condition and so can acquire the useful information such as non-uniformity rate and mass of injection fuel using waveform analysis and measurement modules. It must be a very useful and sophisticated system to instruct and learn the features and operating states of injection system, and to study f3r improving the performance of it.
