A Study on the Risk Analysis Method on the Transport System (운송시스템의 리스크 분석방법에 관한 연구)

  • The trend of globalization and the development of the communication-Information technology have led the organization of a complex supply chains which are more vulnerable to risks. The impact of risk on the supply chain can be adverse so importance of risk management on a supply chain has increased. In order to analyze the risk factors of transport system, this study described about the definition of transport risk and investigated the relationship between likelihood index and effect index of each risk factor. We identified risk factors on transport system and measured likelihood index and effect index of each risk factor. Finally, a numerical risk index, which is a value of total transport system, has been resulted by aggregating all indices. In addition, a case study using the proposed method has done on a heavy vehicle transport context with a transport company.

  • In BTL project, the operation cost covering upcoming 20 years is usually alloted more than construction cost although its plan is made in short time. Therefore, it is a key issue to forecast and to analyze operation risks in the process of making contract in order to successfully finish the BTL project and to ensure the profitability of business. However, only a few domestic professional management companies are capable to carry out funding and facility management. To manage the potential risks efficiently in BLT project, it's essential to prioritize the risk factors by means of considering economical risk level, non-economical risk level and occurrence frequency. Thus, this study suggests risk analysis model for improving efficiency of BTL project from operation company's perspective by means of survey. The suggested risk analysis model is expected to establish a risk management strategy which can improve the efficiency of management affairs in BTL project.

  • The Korean Government recently has been focused on strengthening competitiveness of order and stimulating construction market in the international construction industry. It has planned to extend the ODPs (overseas development projects) in order to diversifying the international construction market of which is domestic construction companies, placing too much emphasis on plant projects of the Middle East. However, literature review of risk analysis in the ODPs shows that the number of case study is several. Therefore, Authors asserted the necessity of risk analysis in the ODPs. The purpose of this study is to suggest a methodology that find KRFs (key risk factors) in the ODPs and analyze them, using AHP and Fuzzy theory. As a result, the 37 KRFs are selected and explained characteristics of them. A future direction of this study is to suggest a risk management model in the ODPs and prove feasibility of it.

  • There have been many studies on the subject of risks in the Construction Industry and many useful results have been produced. However, risk studies on the conditions of contract, which is the most critical contract documents, has not been tried despite of its contractual function in the overseas projects. In this study, various contractual risks are identified for proper and reasonable evaluation of the contractual risks possibly encountered in the Tender and/or Contract stages of the Projects. For development of study, FIDIC Red Book 1999 Edition which is world widely recognised as a standard conditions of contract prepared for the projects designed by the Employer. Contractual risks are divided into three levels and applicable clauses are assigned to each appropriate risk factors. And table of major contractual risk factors are made using the classified levels of each factors with evaluation criteria as a result of this study. As this study is made only for the conditions of contract which is prepared for the construction contracts designed by the Employer, further studies for other types of contracts such as Design-Build (FIDIC Yellow Book), EPC/Turnkey (FIDIC Silver Book) and recently developed Design, Build and Operate type of contract (FIDIC Gold Book) are required to cover various types of projects executed in the world construction markets.

  • With Public-private partnership PF (project financing) deals saw explosive increase in quantity since its introduction to Korea in 2001, but, met with severe recession in the fallouts of the financial crisis that hit the global economy in 2008. This study intends to identify the risk factors corresponding to issues of public-private partnership projects financing structure and classify and analyze them by project phase. Outcomes of this research are expected to help recognize risk factors in each project phase during project planning and develop risk control and mitigation strategy during project implementation.

  • This paper presented the risk identification and the risk response of the construction project executed by mean of questionnaires/interview, significant risk factors are identified for construction contracts. The purpose of study is to improve the contract method for construction project. Therefore, partnering is increasingly being used on construction project. Partnering involves the parties to a construction project working together in an environment of trust and openness to realize the project efficiently and conflict. Partnering can bring significant benefits, including fewer adversarial relationships and increased end-customer satisfaction, to the construction industry if all parties involved in a project strive for its success.

  • The building construction projects include a variety of risk factors due to uncertainties. To succeed in the projects, it is important how risks are managed. Risk management is composed of identification, analysis and response. Especially, the risk analysis is important to objectively calculate significance of risk factors. This paper evaluates a method to find priorities of risks using the AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process). The method has some defects; (1) the consistency becomes weak as the number of pair-wise compared risks is large, and (2) the input and output procedures are complex when risks are added to or removed from a risk database. Thus the paper adopts the PROMETHEE(Preference Ranking Organization METHod Enrichment Evaluations) analysis process which is able to overcome the limitation of the AHP restricted to 9 risk factors. The PROMETHEE makes the procedure of risk analysis simple, when the risk factors pull out and put in the risk database. The purpose of this study is to provide process of risk analysis to use the PROMETHEE.

  • Recently, apartment-remodeling project is booming since various reconstruction controls are tightened. However, the project has difficulties because management systems used for apartment-remodeling projects are not available. Identifying and analyzing risk factors that are required for risk management, this paper suggests the risk level through paired comparison performed by AHP method and probability assessment for risk level analysis. It is expected that this research will be utilized to minimize the risk of apartment remodeling project and for basic materials to perform the project and helpful to change newly build-oriented construction into sustainable industries. Hereafter using the risk factor analysis data of this paper for this research project, risk management model is considered to be constructed.

  • Construction industry is a complex industry which should be invested with plenty capital, manpower and resources. Investment factors and inner and outer environmental factors should be managed systemically in terms with risk factors possible to occur. It maximizes the profit to establish construction management by managing risk systemically. While previous studies were executed with risk related to some special progress lively, studies about risk in managing construction company leave much to be desired. Therefore, this study examined risk in the whole construction management, showed the checklist and deduced the quantitative factors through questionnaire analysis from specialists. Also, priority and grade of construction management factors were evaluated by analyzing weight of construction risk factors.

  • 전국어업지역에 큰 영향을 미칠 가능성이 있는 리스크로서 지진 해일 재해 리스크의 감재대책에 대한 기본적인 사고에 의거, 위기관리의 관점에서 서술하고자 한다. 전국의 어항 어업 취락에서 지진 해일 재해의 리스크를 증대시키는 요인으로서 협소한 토지에 어항시설이나 가옥의 밀집, 고령화의 진행에 의해 재해시 피보호자가 되기 쉬움, 낚시객 해수욕객 등 지리에 어두운 외래자의 방문 증가, 어선이나 어업 양식시설의 표류 우려 등 어업 지역 특유의 여러가지 리스크 인자를 가지고 있다.
