Design and Tolerance Analysis of 3-D Stereoscopic Display Modules with Alternating Illumination Angles (조명각 변조 방식의 3차원 입체영상 표시장치설계 및 공차분석)

  • In order to realize a 3-D stereoscopic display module with alternating illumination angles, several conditions required for a lenticular lens sheet were established, and then both the lens specification and the module structure were designed. Also the performance of the stereoscopic module and its tolerance characteristics were evaluated by simulating the intensity distribution on the observation plane with a finite-ray tracing technique. From the evaluation, it was known that an intersection area between two adjacent lenses should not be filled and that the lateral mismatch between a planar liquid crystal shutter and a lens sheet should be minimized.

  • This study examines the design technology of searchlight optics featuring narrow beam angles and high luminous intensities. Halogen and xenon lamps, which are conventional searchlight sources, are vulnerable to vibration and shock, and are large and heavy, making them difficult to transport. In addition, the parabolic mirror located at the rear of the searchlight has the disadvantages of poor performance and low light efficiency, due to the assembly error produced during manufacturing. To solve this problem, a 1-kW halogen lamp is replaced by a 150-W high-power COB LED, and a high-efficiency TIR lens is designed to meet the target performance. Afterward, the TIR lens array is proposed to solve the surface error generated during optical injection. After a prototype is manufactured based on the designed optical system, the optical performance is confirmed to be excellent, by comparing it to that of a commercial halogen-lamp searchlight.

  • It is necessary to be careful about contamination control to minimize the accumulation of the contamination material on satellite surface during the I&T phase. In the space environment which characterized by high vacuum, high and very low temperature, contamination material causes satellite to lose its own performance. Especially, contamination material can accumulate on critical surfaces such as lenses, mirrors, and sensors. KARI(Korea Aerospace Research Institute) conducts the clean room to control and minimize the contamination effect. This paper introduces the principle of contamination and the method of measure and analysis for the contamination.

  • The multi-configurative microscopic system for inspecting the wire-bonding of reed frame is designed. Rays refracted by objective lens group which is composed of common lens group of x2 and x6 are splitted by beam-splitter, and Rays through the central region and the boundary region of the object imaged at x2 and x6 through imaging lens groups, respectively. The depth of wire structure on the reed frame has about $\pm$3 mm, in order to observe by uniform magnification without the dependency on the variation of objective distance generated by the depth of wire structure on the reed frame, imaging lens groups should be moved on nonlinear locus like mechanically compensated zoom lenses. The nonlinear equations for zoom locus are derived by using the Gaussian bracket. Refraction powers and positions of each groups are numerically determined by solving the equations, and initial design data for each groups is obtained by using Seidel third order aberration theory. The optimization technique is finally utilized to obtain this microscopic system.

  • 최근 디지털 정보 처리 기술의 획기적인 발전과 함께 저가의 반도체 레이저의 개발로 말미암아 광기록 장치(optical pickup device) 및 고속 광통신(optical fiber communication)분야에 응용을 위한 레이저 광학 시스템에 대한 연구가 활발하다. 광신호의 커플링(coupling) 및 스위칭(switching)을 기반으로 하는 이러한 광학 시스템은 일반적으로 광신호의 변조를 위한 광학 요소와 광학 요소의 공간적 제어를 위한 정밀 구동기로 구성되는데, 기존의 상용 시스템의 경우에는 독립적으로 기 제작된 광학 요소와 정밀 구동기를 사후에 조립하는 방법으로 소기의 목적을 달성하였다. 이와 같은 경우 제작에 많은 노력과 비용이 요구되며, 성능의 획기적인 향상을 기대하기 어려우므로 최근에는 Optical MEMS 혹은 MOEMS(Micro-Opto-Electro-Mechanical System)로 대변되는 마이크로머시닝기술(micromachining technology)을 이용한 초정밀 광학계의 제작 기술을 통하여 기존 시스템의 한계를 극복하고자 하는 노력이 다각도로 모색되고 있다.   • FZPL antenna have been applied for satellite TV receiver system, radio astronomical observation and so on, because of its flat nature and structural simplicity. Using TLM modeling, numerical simulation was performed for the FZPL antenna which ran be applied for DAB/DMB receiver system. FZPL antenna mounted on dielectric substrate was investigated. As the results, the computed focal length was shorter than the designed one and the received gain was 18dB.

  • In this study, automatic assembly and evaluation system fer phone camera module is conceptually designed. The designed core(Auto focus & UV curing, Image Test) equipments adopts a clustering mechanism and compactible structure using index table for minimum tact time. Using a ball screw actuator and absolute encoder in each axis, we can verifies the repeatability and position accuracy of system within ${\pm}3{\mu}m$. In result of simulation test, the proposed system is expected up to 30% in productivity than manual operation.

  • Air gap control method using a conventional actuator for near field recording technology has been reported. To achieve good performance in the air gap servo and further experiments, the assembling between OL and SIL is the critical procedure. A lens set with NA 1.45 at 405 m has been assembled and tested by using a Twyman-Green interferometer. The tolerance of assembling is very tight and the designing and adjusting procedure must be carefully controlled.

  • In this paper, the optical pick-up used for general audio/video players having more market share than the others is designed with 4-wire suspension type actuator and the hologram laser diode which laser diode, photo diode, beam splitter, and grating lens are integrated in. This optical pick-up is designed in very simple optical system with the characteristics of hologram laser diode. Thus, it has high productivity, the number of the parts is reduced, and also the shape of the assembling parts becomes simple.

저궤도 위성 지상기능시험 결과분석을 통한 별추적기 건정성 확인

  • 위성은 발사 후 임무수행을 위하여 필수적인 자세정보를 획득해야 한다. 별 추적기는 궤도상에서 별의 위치를 파악하여 상대적인 위성의 위치를 확인하는 데에 사용하는 감지기이다. 별 추적기는 태양, 지구, 달 등의 광원으로부터 오는 빛을 차단해 주는 시야각제한기(baffle), 광학계소자(CCD) 및 렌즈, 열제어소자(cooler) 그리고 전원 및 전자박스 등으로 구성된다. 위성은 발사 전 조립시험 기간 동안 전자파, 진동, 열/진공 등의 환경시험 통하여 수차례의 성능 유무를 확인한다. 이 환경시험 전과 후에는 위성의 모든 전장품의 기능시험을 수행하여, 각 전장품의 환경영향 유무를 판별한다. 특히 벌 추적기 관련시험으로, 광학계 성능 검증을 위한 광학적 자극시험과 전자박스의 구동확인을 위한 전자박스 점검시험이 있다. 본 논문에서는 지상에서 수행한 별 추적기의 기능시험 결과를 분석하여 건정성 동향을 분석하였다.
