The scholarly communication crisis is not a journals crisis, but rather a broader crisis in information communications. It is the loss of access to the scholarly research literature, as the rising cost of STM journal subscriptions far out-strip academic library budgets. Now, the open access as alternatives to traditional journal subscription model are emerging for STM scholarly information. There are basically three forms for OA strategies : Open Access Journals(OAJ), Author Self Archiving(ASA), Academic Institutional Repositories(AIR). This paper describes the current trends and analyses potentially serious limitations and obstacles or various issues of the OA strategies, including the notion of scholarly information as a public good, myths of free access, author pay model, holder of copyright, etc.

This research focused on the major determinants for the strategic utilization of technology tree as a strategic technology information repository after the adoption of the technology tree in the R&D intensive organization. The study was performed based on both theoretical study and qualitative case study approaches. The result is as follows; for the strategic utilization of the technology tree for the information repository, it should be the market base and be closely related with the technology roadmap. In terms of the needs of times, this study regarding the strategic utilization of technology tree as a strategic technology information repository and as a s strategic supplement for technology roadmap is anticipated to be a good reference for the R&D-oriented organizations and technology-related studies in coming years.

W3C has developed the RDF standard for utilizing ontology in Web applications. This paper presents extracting, storing, and applying ontology on product data. The management and document information included in DWG files is focused as an example. By analyzing the relationship among the drawing data, the RDF schema is designed frist. Based on the schema ontology is extracted and stored in XML files. As an application of the stored ontology, we the schema ontology is extracted and stored in XML files. As an application of the stored ontology, we can reconfigure the sitemap of drawing data repositories. In this example, the users can select the view that he or she is interested in (e.g., designer, document, project). With such various views of an drawing data repository, the users can access the specific data more effectively.

본 논문에서는 유스케이스 기반의 프로젝트 관리 도구를 소개한다. 유스케이스 기반의 프로젝트 관리 도구는 개발 프로젝트에서 사용되는 다양한 산출물을 유스케이스 중심으로 통합 관리한다. 또한 유스케이스를 기반으로 테스트 케이스, 사용자 매뉴얼을 도출할 수 있으며 유스케이스 중심의 일정 관리도 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 프로젝트 관리 도구의 레포지터리 구조를 설명하고 관리 도구의 기능을 설명한다. 끝으로 프로젝트에 적용한 결과 도출된 생산성 증가 효과에 대해 설명한다.

The major concern of scholarly communication system that consists of libraries, researchers, and publishers is scholarly journals. But there is a huge chasm between the groups that have their own respects and strategies, compensations, and rights about scholarly journals. This difference makes open access movement which has two strategies: Open Access Journal(OAJ) and Open Access Archives (OAA). This paper describes the current status and analyses serious limitations of OAJ and OAA, especially, including the present address in the field of library and information science.

This study is to identify the concept of the digital curation, archiving and preservation resulted in the development of digital information resources, and is to suggest the roles and strategies of the digital curation in university library based on the lifecycle information process of the digital information resources and the examples of the digital curation from domestic and aborad. I have designed a curation model and the preservation of the digital resources in university library by using creators, curators, and users who stand on the basis of the lifecycle. As a result, I have built up a system that is to be a basis to share resources and cooperation among universities.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the development direction of future scholarship by analyzing recent research trends in collection development and management field using keyword network analysis. Data was collected from four journals in library and information science field during period of 2003 to 2017. Related articles of Collection Development and Management field were retrieved, and author keywords were extracted from selected papers. Keyword network analysis using NetMiner4 program was performed based on frequency analysis, connection-centered analysis, and parametric analysis. The analysis covers all sections from 2003 to 2017 to look at the changes in research over time, and three sections on five-year basis. As a result, main keywords such as 'open access', 'institutional repository' and 'academic journals' were identified, and topics to be continuously researched were identified.
