A STUDY ON WEAR RESISTANCE OF FLOWABLE COMPOSITE RESINS (유동성 복합레진의 마모저항성에 관한 연구)

  • When we use the flowable resin on the primary molars for quick handling, one of the most important property is the wear resistance. This study was performed to compare the wear resistance characteristics of four flowable composite resins [Arabesk flow (group 1), Tetric flow (group 2), Aeliteflow (group 3), Filtek flow (group 4)] to that of one control composite resin [Z100 (group 5)]. Specimen discs(n=10), 10mm wide and 2mm thick, were stored in distilled water at $37^{\circ}C$ for 7 days prior to testing. The specimens were subjected to 50,000 strokes at 2 Hz on the MTS system. During the test, the following parameters were maintained: the lateral excursion at 0.4mm, occlusal force at 2-100N with a force profile in the form of a half sine wave. The measurements of volume loss, depth of wear, and Vicker's hardness number of composite resins, and SEM observations of the polished and abraded surfaces were established. One-way ANOVA and Scheffe's multiple comparison test were employed to detect statistically significant differences among the flowable composite resin groups and the control composite group at P<.05.   • 본 논문에서는 철도차량의 능동조향시스템 연구를 위한 축소 조향대차의 장애물 검지시스템 구축에 대여 연구하였다. 철도차량에서 능동조향이란 곡선부 주행 시 차륜/레일 접촉에 의한 승차감 저하 및 차륜/레일의 마모와 소음을 줄이고, 고속주행을 위한 조향성능 및 주행안정성을 확보하기 위한 휠셋의 제어기술이다. 따라서 논문에서는 조향제어전략 및 제어기법을 연구하기 위한 축소 차량모델(견인대차와 조향대차로 구성)의 개발과정으로서 자동운전을 위한 장애물 검지시스템에 대한 연구를 수행하였으며 주행실험을 통해 그 성능을 검증하였다.

  • 레일패드는 궤도전체의 탄성확보 뿐만 아니라 열차하중에 의해 침목으로 전달되는 충격을 완화시켜 침목과 도상의 파손을 방지하는 역할을 하는데, 통과톤수의 증가와 기후적 요인에 의하여 패드가 열화되면 패드의 강성이 증가하게 된다. 패드의 강성이 증가하게 되면 레일을 통해 침목으로 전달되는 충격하중이 증가하게 되어 침목의 파손을 유발할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 침목하면의 도상에도 과도한 충격하중을 전달하여 도상의 손상을 가속화시킬 수 있다. 또한 레일패드의 강성변화는 궤도의 소음과 레일의 파상마모의 진전에도 영향을 미치게 된다. 따라서 레일패드의 공용기간 중에 적정한 강성을 유지할 필요가 있으며, 통과톤수의 증가에 따른 레일패드의 경화도를 산정하는 방법과 레일패드의 경화가 궤도에 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 분석하여 레일패드의 교체주기에 관한 기준을 마련할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 슬래브의 질량과 일정속도대역에서의 패드강성의 민감도분석을 하여 그 결과를 비교하고 레일패드경화에 따른 대상궤도의 동적거동을 수치해석을 통하여 패드강성과 차량주행속도에 따른 윤중의 변동량과 레일의 변위, 가속도 그리고 침목의 변위, 가속도의 변화정도를 분석해 보았다. 궤도시스템의 동적해석을 위한 해석 프로그램으로는 네덜란드 델프트 공과대학에서 개발된 궤도시스템 전용 해석 프로그램인 DARTS(The dynamic analysis of a rail track structure)를 사용하였다. 대상궤도는 국내 1단계 경부고속철도에서 사용되고 있는 3중보 무도상궤도를 사용하였다.

  • The purpose of this work is to general approach to numerically simulating wear in rolling and sliding contact area between wheel and rail interface based on the analysis of dynamics with general MBS package. A simulation scheme is developed that calculates the wear at a detailed level. The estimation of material removal follows Archard's wear equation which states that the reduction of volume is linearly proportional to the sliding distance, the normal applied load and the wear coefficient and inverse proportional to hardness. The main research application is the wheel-rail contact of Korea High Speed Railway.

  • Iron fillings which were accumulated around the rail was often the cause of abnormal signal in case of signaling equipment using rail as transmission line. Iron fillings were generated on curved section of railroad due to the friction between rail and wheel, and metro line company urged to find the way to remove these iron fillings, because these were often the cause of abnormal signal. Magnetic device for trapping iron fillings around concrete slab tracks is introduced. The characteristics of magnetic device were analyzed using basic design and numerical analysis method. Magnetic device for trapping iron fillings were examined for application to the train which were operating in commercial line.

  • 본 논문에서는 철도차량의 능동조향을 위한 고전 PI 제어기 및 퍼지 제어기를 설계하여 그 성능을 서로 비교하였다. 철도차량에서 능동조향은 곡선부 주행 시 발생되는 승차감 저하 및 차륜/레일의 마모와 소음을 줄이고, 고속주행을 위한 조향성능 및 주행안정성을 확보하기 위한 제어기술이다. 논문에서는 차량 1량을 모델로 하여 측정된 휠-레일의 횡변위(Lateral Displacement) 정보를 토대로 휠의 요모멘트를 제어하는 전략을 사용하여 제어기를 설계하였으며, 시뮬레이션을 통해 제어기 응답 특성을 비교하였다.

In vitro evaluation of the wear resistance of provisional resin materials fabricated by different methods (제작방법에 따른 임시 수복용 레진의 마모저항성에 관한 연구)

  • Purpose: This study was to evaluate the wear resistance of 3D printed, milled, and conventionally cured provisional resin materials. Materials and methods: Four types of resin materials made with different methods were examined: Stereolithography apparatus (SLA) 3D printed resin (S3P), digital light processing (DLP) 3D printed resin (D3P), milled resin (MIL), conventionally self-cured resin (CON). In the 3D printed resin specimens, the build orientation and layer thickness were set to $0^{\circ}$ and $100{\mu}m$, respectively. The specimens were tested in a 2-axis chewing simulator with the steatite as the antagonist under thermocycling condition (5 kg, 30,000 cycles, 0.8 Hz, $5^{\circ}C/55^{\circ}C$). Wear losses of the specimens were calculated using CAD software and scanning electron microscope (SEM) was used to investigate wear surface of the specimens. Statistical significance was determined using One-way ANOVA and Dunnett T3 analysis (${\alpha}=.05$). Results: Wear losses of the S3P, D3P, and MIL groups significantly smaller than those of the CON group (P < .05). There was no significant difference among S3P, D3P, and MIL group (P > .05). In the SEM observations, in the S3P and D3P groups, vertical cracks were observed in the sliding direction of the antagonist. In the MIL group, there was an overall uniform wear surface, whereas in the CON group, a distinct wear track and numerous bubbles were observed. Conclusion: Within the limits of this study, provisional resin materials made with 3D printing show adequate wear resistance for applications in dentistry.

Investigation of Friction and Wear Characteristics of Cast Iron Material Under Various Conditions (다양한 조건에 따른 주철 소재의 마찰/마모 특성에 관한 연구)

  • Cast iron is widely used in fields such as the transport and heavy industries. For parts where contact damage is expected to occur, it is necessary to understand the friction and wear characteristics of cast iron. In this study, we use cast iron plates as the specimens to investigate their friction and wear characteristics. We perform various experiments using a reciprocating type tribotester. We assess the frictional characteristics by analyzing the friction coefficient values that were obtained during the sliding tests. We observe the wear surfaces of cast iron and steel balls using a scanning electron microscope, confocal microscope, and 3d profiler. We investigate the friction and wear characteristics of cast iron by injecting sand and alumina particles having various sizes. Furthermore, we estimate the effect of temperature on the friction and wear characteristics. The results obtained are expected to aid in the understanding of the tribological characteristics of cast iron in industry.
