A Study on the Improvement of Resolution of Optical Coherence Tomography System Using Femto-Second Laser (펨토초 레이저를 이용한 OCT 시스템의 분해능 향상에 관한 연구)

  • Optical coherence tomography system has been extensively studied because it has some advantages such as imaging of high resolution, low cost, and compact size configuration. In order to obtain high resolution of OCT system we configured OCT system using a femto-second laser. We measure the pulse width using autocorrelator function because a femto-second laser is ultra short pulse. And we measured the practical resolution using theoretical equation and the measurement of reference sample. It is confirmed that the proposed OCT system has 1.5 times higher resolution and un distinctive cross-sectional image than OCT system with SLD as a light source.

  • 지금까지의 광학적 비접촉 진동 측정 시스템에서는 레이저도플러 효과를 이용하고 있다(1)(2). 그러나 이는 시스템 자체가 너무 크고 많은 장비들을 요구하는 단점을 가지고 있다. 본 실험은 장비의 속도와 크기를 개선하기 위해 이전까지의 방법과는 다른 시스템을 구성하여, 빠르게 회전하거나 진동하는 물체의 진동을 쉽고 간결하게 측정할 수 있는 장비와 프로그램을 설계, 제작하였다. 광원으로는 파장이 650nm인 LD(laser diode)를 사용하였고, 신호검출에는 1차원 PSD(position-sensitive detection)를 사용하여 시스템을 소형으로 구성하였다.   • Raman Laser Radar system for the measurements of aerosol and water vapor concentration is developed. As a transmitting system, Nd:YAG laser with 3rd harmonic Generator and beam expander are used. The wavelength of transmitting laser is 355 nm. The receiving system is consists of 500 mm telescope, 3-channel Raman spectrometer, PMT, and signal processing module. The wavelengths of received signals are 355 nm. 387 nm, and 408 nm 이다. The measurable altitude of this system is about 3~4 km with spatial resolution of 100~200 m.

  • 최근 유럽의 완성차 업체에서 조립라인에 적용을 시작하고 있는 레이저 원격 용접기술은 저항 점용접에서의 문제점들을 동시에 해결하고 작업 시간을 획기적으로 감소시켜 생산성을 향상시킬 수 있는 용접공정으로 떠오르고 있다. 레이저 원격 용접기술은 레이저 빔을 용접부의 원거리에서 조사하여 용접하는 기술로서 레이저의 초점거리와 갈바노미터의 고속 이송를 이용한 최첨단 용접공정이다. 높은 생산성을 유지 하기 위하여 정확한 용접 컨트롤이 필요하지만, 레이저 용접의 경우 용접시 안전 문제로 육안으로 관찰하기가 힘들다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 모니터링이 필수적이다. 기존의 레이저 모니터링으로는 음향 센서를 이용하여 음향을 측정하는 방법이나 UV 센서, IR 센서 등의 빛을 이용한 방법이 많이 사용되어왔다. 하지만 이 방법들은 간접적인 방법들로 노이즈에 민감하고 또 설치가 까다로운 단점이 있었다. 본 연구에서는 CCD 카메라를 이용하여 시스템의 복잡함을 줄이고 더 정확하고 빠르게 용접 현상을 관찰하기 위하여 동축 모니터링 시스템을 이용하였으며, 이를 통해 Keyhole을 관찰하고 센서를 이용한 용접 변수(레이저 출력, 용접 속도 등)의 변화에 따른 용접 현상을 규명하였다.

  • 코로나 예비전리를 이용한 KrF 레이저의 장펄스화를 위해 동축형 4단 펄스정형회로 (PFN)를 구성해서 용량이행형의 회로에 인덕턴스가 부가된 방식의 전류, 전압을 비교하여 PFN을 동축형으로 제작함으로 인한 Stray Capacitance (Cs)의 존재로 인해 좋은 효율의 장펄스화를 이루어짐을 밝혔다. 구성된 PFN을 절연유에 넣어 충전전압 15kV, N2 55Torr에서 330ns 펄스폭의 전류파형을 측정했다.

Wavelength tunability of XeCl laser pumped double-resonator dye laser for DIAL (DIAL용 XeCl 레이저펌핑 쌍공진기색소레이저의 파장가변특성)

  • We have developed XeCl laser pumped double-resonator Dye laser and two-stage amplifier system, and generated simultaneously of alternatively two wavelengths suitable in DIAL system. The developed double-resonator is composed of 1st and 2nd diffraction orders on light incidence angle in grazing-incidence grating method with 1200 g/mm. We have obtained spectral linewidth below 10 pm and the total efficiency dependent on pump energy over 6%. The tuning ranges dependent on 1st and 2nd diffraction orders are 434~470 nm and 436~468 nm, respectively. The amplification gain and rine-450 dye laser by using the double-resonator laser system and measured the distribution of $NO_2$ concentration over Suwon as the result of transmission of laser output of 6 mJ in this DIAL system. Consequently, we have confirmed that the developed dye laser system is very useful as the tunable source for DIAL.

  • We have constructed two extended-cavity diode lasers which are phase-locked with a 9.2 GHz frequency offset. We adopted a digital servo circuit for the phase-locking. The relative linewidth of the phase-locked lasers was less than 2 Hz. Using the measured beat spectrum, we found the carrier concentration to be about 93 %. We measured phase noise and relative frequency stability of the lasers. The Allan deviation at the gate time of 20 s was $2.7{\times}10^{-19}$.

  • Recently, the precision ball screw becomes the essence of the high-precision industries and is playing a key role in the positioning devices. The standard and definition of pitch error in a precision ball screw is specified by KS, JIS or ISO. However, the method of measuring the pitch error is not concrete. In this study. laser measurement system(LMS) with a laser position transducer and a machine-tools is developed. In order to verify the stability of the LMS, several experiments with the standard ball screw is performed.

  • In this paper the glass inspection system for the thickness and flatness is implemented. Laser sensors and robot arms required for glass measurements is tested on the performance assesment. Three kinds of laser sensors are used and analysed, and 3-axis robot arm with the ball-screwed type is implemented. Thus the methods of glass measurement is discussed and the difficulties are solved to propose the solutions. To minimize the errors of glass measurement the system is improved as considered device errors.

  • More than 70% of Korean Peninsula is consisted of mountains, so that lots of roads, rail-roads and tunnel,which play a pivotal role in the industry activity, are existed along the rock-slope and in the rock-mass. Thus,it is urgent that tegration of management system through the optimum survey and design of rock-slope excavation, proper stabilization method and database of rock-slope. However, conventional methods have shortcoming with the economy of survey time and human resources, and the overcome of difficulties of approach to the in-situ rock-slope. To overcome the limitation of conventional method, this paper proposed the development of remote measurement system using Terrestrial Laser Scanning System. The method using Terrestrial 3D Laser Scanning System, which can get 3D spatial information on the rock-slope and2)Dept. Geosystem Engineering, Kangwon National University, Korea tunnel, has an advantage of reduction of measurement time and the overcome of difficulties of approach to the in-situ rock-slope/dam/tunnel. In the case of rock-slope, through the analysis of 3D modeling of point-cloud by Terrestrial Laser Scanning System, orientation of discontinuity, roughness of joint surface, failure shape and volume were successively achieved. in the case of tunnel face, through reverse-engineering, monitoring of displacement was possible.
