Study on the 3D Assembly Inspection of Two-Step Variable Valve Lift Modules Using Laser-Vision Technology (레이저 비전을 이용한 2단 가변밸브 리프트 모듈의 3D 조립검사에 대한 연구)

  • A laser-vision-based height measurement system is developed and implemented for the inspection of two-step variable valve lift module assemblies. The proposed laser-vision sensor module is designed based on the principle of laser triangulation. This paper summarizes the work on 3D point cloud data collection and height difference measurements. The configuration of the measurement system and the proposed height measurement algorithm are described and analyzed in detail. Additional measurement experiments on the height differences of valves and lash adjusters of a two-step variable valve lift module were implemented repeatedly to evaluate the accuracy and repeatability of the proposed measurement system. Experimental results show that the proposed laser-vision-based height measurement system achieves high accuracy, repeatability, and stabilization for the inspection of two-step variable valve lift module assemblies.

  • This paper introduces an Integrated Vision System that enables us to detect the image of slabs and coils and get the complete three dimensional location data without any other obstacles in the field of unmanned-crane automation system. Existing vision system research tends to be easily influenced by the environment of the work place and therefore cannot give the exact location information. To overcome these weaknesses, this paper suggests laser scanners should be combined with a CCD camera named Integrated Vision System. The suggested system is expected to help improve the unmanned-crane automation system.

  • Recently, many unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) studies have focused on small UAVs, because they are cost effective and suitable in dangerous indoor environments where human entry is limited. Map building through distance measurement is a key technology for the autonomous flight of small UAVs. In many researches for unmanned systems, distance could be measured by using laser range finders or stereo vision sensors. Even though a laser range finder provides accurate distance measurements, it has a disadvantage of high cost. Calculating the distance using a stereo vision sensor is straightforward. However, the sensor is large and heavy, which is not suitable for small UAVs with limited payload. This paper suggests a low-cost distance measurement system using a laser pointer and a monocular vision sensor. A method to measure distance using the suggested system is explained and some experiments on map building are conducted with these distance measurements. The experimental results are compared to the actual data and the reliability of the suggested system is verified.

  • Through welding fabrication, user can feel an surficaial and capable unsatisfaction because of welded defects, Generally speaking, these are called weld defects. For checking these defects effectively without time loss effectively, weldability estimation system setup isan urgent thing for detecting whole specimen quality. In this study, by laser vision camera, catching a rawdata on welded specimen profiles, treating vision processing with these data, qualititative defects are estimated from getting these information at first. At the same time, for detecting quantitative defects, whole specimen weldability estimation is pursued by multifeature pattern recognition, which is a kind of fuzzy pattern recognition. For user friendly, by weldability estimation results are shown each profiles, final reports and visual graphics method, user can easily determined weldability. By applying these system to welding fabrication, these technologies are contribution to on-line weldability estimation.

The Lens Aberration Correction Method for Laser Precision Machining in Machine Vision System (머신비전 시스템에서 레이저 정밀 가공을 위한 렌즈 수차 보정 방법)

  • We propose a method for accurate image acquisition in a machine vision system in the present study. The most important feature is required by the various lenses to implement real and of the same high quality image-forming optical role. The input of the machine vision system, however, is generated due to the aberration of the lens distortion. Transformation defines the relationship between the real-world coordinate system and the image coordinate system to solve these problems, a mapping function that matrix operations by calculating the distance between two coordinates to specify the exact location. Tolerance Focus Lens caused by the lens aberration correction processing to Galvanometer laser precision machining operations can be improved. Aberration of the aspheric lens has a two-dimensional shape of the curve, but the existing lens correction to linear time-consuming calibration methods by examining a large number of points the problem. How to apply the Bilinear interpolation is proposed in order to reduce the machining error that occurs due to the aberration of the lens processing equipment.

  • 본 논문은 퍼지로직을 이용하여 메탈스텐실의 홀의 정상-불량 판단을 수행한다. 메탈스텐실 은 PCB의 SMD의 패드 위에 납을 도포하기 위해 사용되는 것으로, 레이저를 이용하여 패드모양과 동일하게 홀을 생성한다. 가공 시 발생하는 불량은 레이저 출력의 약화로 홀이 정상적으로 가공되지 않는 것이다. 검사를 위해 비전시스템을 이용하여 메탈스텐실에 대한 카메라이미지를 획득하고, 기준이미지는 메탈스텐실을 제조하기 위해 사용되는 거버 파일을 이용하여 생성한다. 퍼지로직의 입력변수는 각 이미지에서의 검사대상 홀의 위치오차와 크기비율이고, 출력변수는 홀의 정상판단율이다. 홀의 위치와 크기는 두 이미지에 대해 영상처리를 수행하여 계산한다. 퍼지규칙은 작업자의 판단 규칙을 적용하여 작성한다. 4종류의 메탈스텐실에 대해 정상-불량 판단을 위해 고정된 임계치를 사용하였을 경우와 제안된 퍼지로직을 적용한 실험결과에 대해 설명한다.

  • As a part of automatic car parking, this paper have devised the distance measurement algorism using stereo vision system which measure between object and parking lot. In this simulation, laser pointer is used for detecting edge of designated object and real distance is measured by searching the position of laser pointer and measuring the distance. Which are 1 / 1.5 / 2 / 2.5 / 3m and adjusted correction had applied in order for use in car parking system.
