조우내(대표 이우백)는 지난 11월 3일 파주 출판단지에 위치한 본사에서 100여 명의 고객들과 관계자들이 참석한 가운데 다이니폰스크린 코리아의(대표 전익성) 풀 컬러 초고속 잉크젯 프린팅시스템 Truepress Jet520ZZ의 도입식을 가졌다. 이번 도입으로 조우니는 현재 보유하고 있는 트루프레스셋520 작업라인을 더욱 확장해 One to One 마케팅 시장을 대상으로 최신 생산설비를 갖추고 신속하게 대응할 수 있는 시스템을 공고하게 됐다. 조우니는 지난 1969년, 전산용지를 생산 판매한 이래 40여 년 동안 다양한 제품의 개발과 생산으로 전산관련 업무설계, 처리 및 통계, 전산출력, 봉입발송에 이르기까지 DM토탈 솔루션을 전문적으로 공급해 왔다.

일본생산성본부가 6년째 전업종을 대상으로 실시하고 있는 '2012년 신입사원의 의식조사'에서 인쇄업종에 해당하는 결과에 따르면 인쇄업을 평생의 직업으로 삼고 싶다는 응답률은 60.1%에 달했다. 근래 10여년간의 최대치인데, 이는 불경기가 지속되는 가운데 젊은이들의 안정지향성이 높아졌기 때문으로 풀이된다. 그러나 대학을 졸업한 신입사원들이 입사 3년 이내에 퇴사하는 이직률 또한 30%에 달하는 것으로 조사됐다. 이 결과는 종신고용을 바라는 3명 가운데 1명이 수년내에 이직하는 것인데, 이는 신입사원들이 갖고 있는 '인쇄'라는 업무의 이미지와도 관계가 큰 것으로 보인다.

Recently, there has been an increase in the number of web-based three-dimensional (3D) printing-related service platforms, which allow consumers to collect 3D modeling data, make requests for production, and receive goods through a distribution service using the service platform. The application of 3D printing technology has been expanded to the construction field, yet no guidelines for the related service platform or operation examples can be found. Therefore, the functions of 10 web-based 3D printing service platforms actively used in other industries were investigated and analyzed in this study, and the analysis results were used as a guideline to develop a 3D printing service platform for the construction industry. In addition, the design, construction and distribution services to be equipped with the construction 3D printing service integration platform were presented by creating the driving scenario of the platform. As 3D printing technology develops, the overall construction and architectural paradigms for design, construction and distribution will change. To prepare for such changes and to pioneer the digital construction market in the future, the role of the 3D printing service platform is expected to increase continually.

This paper presents an adaptive slicing method based on merging vertical layer polylines. Firstly, we slice the input 3D polygon model uniformly with the minimum printable thickness, which results in bounding polylines of the cross section at each layer. Next, we group a set of layer polylines according to vertical connectivity. We then remove polylines in overdense area of each group. The number of layers to merge is determined by the layer thickness computed using the cusp height of the layer. A set of layer polylines are merged into a single polyline by removing the polylines within the layer thickness. The proposed method maintains the shape features as well as reduces the printing time. For evaluation, we sliced ten 3D polygon models using our method and a global adaptive slicing method and measured the total length of polylines which determines the printing time. The result showed that the total length from our method was shorter than the other method for all ten models, which meant that our method achieved less printing time.

2006년도를 가장 뜨겁게 달군 IT분야의 화두로 '웹(web)2.0'이 선정됐다. 초창기에는 '웹2.0은 도대체 무엇일까?'라는 많은 이들의 질문 속에서 IT업계에서도 그것을 무엇이라 정확하게 정의내리지 못했다. 그 이유 중에 하나가 '웹2.0'이 가지는 모호한 특징 때문이다. 그러나 이제 '웹2.0'이 조금씩 자리를 잡아가면서, 다른 산업분야에서도 '웹2.0'의 매력을 접목하기 위한 준비가 진행되고 있다. '웹2.0'에 대해서 알아봤다.

청주MBC 남윤성 PD의 "직지"에 대한 관심은 뜨겁고도 집요할 정도이다. 그는 1995년 이래 "직지"관련 다큐를 6편 제작해 왔다. 그가 그동안 제작해온 다큐는 모두 굵직굵직한 상도 많이 받아왔지만, 수상실적보다 더욱 중요한 것은 "직지"라는 하나의 아이템을 가지고 끊임없이 다큐멘터리를 만들어 내고 있다는 것이다. 그의 열정과 집념에 박수를 보내며 남윤성 PD의 7번째 "직지"관련 다큐 제작기를 싣는다. 이번 특집프로그램은 청주MBC 홈페이지를 방문하면 '다시보기'로 볼 수 있다.

KBA코리아(주)(대표이사 디트마르헤이더크)는 지난 3월 8일 앰배서더 호텔에서 KBA삼우에서 KBA코리아로의 법인 변경을 알리는 오픈하우스를 개최하고, 인쇄기의 발전 가능성과 기회를 의미하는 'Printing Ahead'라는 드루파2012 참가 슬로건을 발표했다. 아울러 공식 행사 이후에는 고문당인쇄(주)와 6색 1코터 라피다105 계약식을 가졌다.

프랑스 파리의 근교인 도몽에서 1993년부터 사업을 영위하고 있는 디지털 인쇄 기업 듀플리-프린트(Dupli-print)는 상당수의 혁신적인 상품들을 통해 프랑스 디지털 솔루션 업계의 선두주자로 평가받고 있다. 이 회사는 최근 뮬러마티니의 시그마라인(시그마 폴더, 시그마 콜래터, 판테라 무선 제책기, 에스프리 삼방기, 우노 스택커와 필름 포장기로 구성)에 투자함으로써 HP T350 디지털 인쇄기와 연결되는 일련의 인쇄 후 가공 작업을 최적화하고 있다.
