최근 국내에 디지털 라디오 방송을 도입하기 위한 실험방송이 진행 중이며, 조만간 디지털 라디오 방식이 결정될 것으로 전망되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 연내 ISO/IEC 국제표준 제정이 예상되는 USAC의 디지털 라디오 방송에의 적용 가능성을 검토하고, 도입의 장점 및 고려사항 등을 제안하고자 한다.

The purpose of this study is to know about the interference on FM Radio channel from DRM+ signal. In Korea, a data service channel, named DARC is operated by a major FM radio broadcaster which has national wide service area. Therefore, an analysis of the interference on FM radio channel with DARC data channel from DRM+, most recently developed digital radio system. Technical parameters of FM radio with DARC data channel and DRM+ system are considered for this simulation. To maintain without no interference from DRM+, FM radio channel with DARC data channel should have the power level difference over 14.7dB at 150KHz frequency distance.

디지털 라디오는 FM 라디오 대비 고음질 오디오 서비스와 더불어 청취자를 위한 부가 데이터 서비스를 동시에 제공해 줄 수 있는 기술로써 해외 선진국은 오래전부터 디지털 라디오를 도입하였거나 도입을 추진하고 있는 상황이다. 하지만 국내의 경우 오래전부터 디지털 라디오 도입을 논의해오고 있으나 아직 방송 방식조차 결정하지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 이에 글로벌 디지털 라디오 표준화와 서비스 현황 그리고 국내 기술개발 및 표준화 추진 현황을 살펴보기로 한다.

본 고에서는 디지털 라디오 방송 수신 기술 규격인 DAB(Digital Audio Broadcasting), DAB+ 기술과 DRM(Digital Radio Mondiale), DRM+ 그리고 최신 오디오 압축 기술인 USAC(Unified Speed and Audio Coding) 코덱 기술이 적용된 디지털라디오 수신 기술을 설명하고자 한다. 이를 위해 기존의 디지털라디오 규격과 오디오 코덱 기술을 살펴보고 오디오 서비스의 품질을 높이고 주파수 효율을 증대시킬 수 있는 USAC 기술을 살펴본다. 그리고 이를 적용할 수 있는 디지털라디오 수신 기술을 제시한다. 향후 DAB+기반의 디지털라디오 수신기에 USAC 적용 가능성을 제시하며 마무리 짓는다.

In this paper, the current status of domestic radio use was compared with foreign countries such as the UK and the US. As a result of the comparison, it was found that the radio reach in both the UK and the US was very high at around 90%, but in Korea it was found to be very low at 21.7%. In addition, in the UK and the US, radio broadcasting is recognized as an important medium for delivering disaster warning messages in the event of a disaster, but in Korea, the importance of radio broadcasting in disaster situations was assessed at 0.7%, confirming that its importance is being overlooked. And the measures to increase the domestic radio broadcasting usage rate are 'Improving service quality such as expanding radio reception coverage', 'Awareness of the importance of radio broadcasting as a disaster warning medium', 'Introduction of digital radio' and 'Introduction of FM radio data broadcasting'. are presented.

국내에서 디지털라디오를 위한 연구와 실험 및 전송방식 선정 시도가 1997년부터 본격적으로 시도되었다. 그동안 국내에서 검토된 디지털라디오 전송방식은 DAB, DAB+, HD-Radio, DRM, DRM+ 방식에 대한 연구가 이루어졌고, 비교실험도 실행되었다. 그러나 각각의 전송방식에 대한 방송사마다 선호도가 다르고, 주파수 할당 문제를 포함하여 정부와 방송사의 이해와 득실에 대한 해석 방향이 많이 다르기 때문에 아직도 국내 전송방식을 결정하기가 매우 어려운 실정이다. 이에 본 논문은 먼저 아날로그 라디오방송과 디지털 라디오방송이 공통적으로 가지고 있어야 하는 중요한 목표와 목적 몇 가지를 선정하여 연구문제로 설정하였다. 연구방법으로는 현재 아날로그 FM방송과 동일한 내용이 동시에 전송되고 있는 DMB의 라디오 채널을 대상으로 FM방송과 수신환경을 비교 조사를 해보고, 주어진 연구문제를 충족할 수 있는 요소를 얼마나 가지고 있는지 분석을 해보았다. 나머지 전송방식에 대해서는 DMB에 포함된 DAB방식의 디지털라디오 규격과 2011년 ETRI 비교실험 결과 자료를 기준으로 상대적 비교를 통하여 긍정적 요소와 부정적 요소를 분석 헤 봄으로써 향후 디지털라디오 수신환경 구축 목표와 전송방식 선정에 실질적인 도움이 될 수 있는 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

근래에 기존의 텔레비젼이나 라디오 방송에서 영상이나 음성의 방송 외에, 할당된 주파수를 최대한 효율적으로 사용하기 위한 부가방송의 개발이 활발히 이루어지고 있다. KBS에서는 오래 전부터 데이터 방송분야의 개발에 힘써왔으며 라디오에서는 RDS를 이용한 데이터 방송이 실용화 단계에 들어가고 있다. 1995년 하반기부터 KBS 제1라디오(표준FM)를 통하여 전국적으로 RDS 시험 방송을 하고 있으며, 또한 1997년에 문자정보 서비스를 위해 한국 실정에 맞는 새로운 RDS 한글 문자정보 규격을 만들어 서비스를 할 예정이다.

Therefore, an analysis of the interference on FM radio channel with DARC data channel from HD Radio, most recently developed digital radio system. Technical parameters of FM radio with DARC data channel and HD Radio system are considered for this simulation. As results some interference generated because of HD Radio signal according to its signal allocation and service mode of HD Radio.

The purpose of this study is to examine the characteristics and functions of radio media and its imprecations. In doing so, the researcher attempted to analyze the text of the radio documentary, which illuminated "Seosan Sim's Sorigil," Pansori Jung-go-je. The analysis showed that radio, a broadcasting medium, functions as a sound storage medium by utilizing elements such as sound, narration, and dramatic reenactment. Second, the radio media enabled to record the upbringing of a person through an oral interview. Finally, the radio medium plays a role in promoting the sound of Pansori academically. This study confirms that the radio medium functions as a means of recording and ascertaining Pansori, a traditional art culture and an intangible cultural heritage, by utilizing the unique characteristics of sound storage media.
