Defocusing image generation corresponding to focusing plane by using spatial information of 3D objects (3차원 물체의 공간정보를 이용한 임의의 집속면에 대응하는 디포커싱 영상 구현)

  • In this paper, we propose a method to generate defocusing images at the focusing plane using the 3D spatial information of object through pickup process of integral imaging technique. In the proposed method, the focusing and defocusing images are generated by the convolution operation between elemental images and ${\delta}$ function array. We observed the image difference by defocusing degree according to the distance of focusing plane. To show the feasibility of the proposed method, some preliminary experiments are carried out and the results are presented.

  • 본 연구에서는 표면 거칠기가 존재하는 시편의 내부 탐상 시 내부 영상에 중첩되는 표면에 의한 영향을 제거하여 영상을 개선시키는 방법을 연구하였다. 이러한 방법은 표면을 위상계로 간주하고, 내부영상을 위해 다포커싱할 때 디포커싱 거리만큼 위상지연을 시켜 내부영상에서 대수격으로 때어줌으로서 영상을 개선시켰다. 실험을 위하여 쿼드러줘 검출기를 사용하여 초음과현미경을 구성하였고 이때 중심주파수가 5MHz이고 비대역폭이 $35\%$인 초음파변환기률 사용하였다. 시편으로는 100원 주화를 사용하였으며 한 단면에 표면 거칠기가 존재하도록 가공하였다. 실험결과 개선 전의 영상과 비교하여 큰트라스트가 2배 이상의 향상됨을 알 수 있었다.

  • 초음파 영상의 3차원 구성은 기존의 2차원 영상에서는 얻을 수 없었던 결함의 깊이, 방향성 등의 정보를 획득할 수 있기 때문에 최근에 이에 대한 관심이 고조되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 SAM(Scanning Acoustic Micro-scope)의 각 스펙트럼(angular spectrum) 접근법을 사용하여 물체에서의 3차원 영상 구현 이론에 대해서 연구하였다. 이러한 방법은 초음파 트랜스듀서를 디포커싱 시키면서 얻어진 2차원영상 정보를 이용하여 3차원으로 구성하는 방법이다. 실험에서는 알루미늄 원형 시료를 사용하였고, V(z)이론을 이용하여 산란된 신호에서의 영상을 구현하는 데 초점을 두었다. 모의 실험을 통하여 피사체 중심에 대해서 $70^\circ$ 범위 내에서 반사형 초음파 현미경으로 영상을 얻어낼 수 있음을 확인하였다. 중심주파수가 5MHz이고 대역폭이 $35\%$인 트랜스듀서를 사용하여 원형 시료의 중심부에서의 영상을 얻어내었다

Development of Hybrid Micro/Nano PIV system (하이브리드 마이크로/나노 PIV 시스템 개발)

  • In this study, a novel hybrid micro/nano PIV system combining defocusing and TIRFM technique has been developed for the multiscale flow measurement. With the developed system, both far and near field velocity fields have been measured simultaneously in a 2D straight microchannel and the particle trajectories were extracted by the nearest tracking algorithm. The shear rate values taken from experimental results have been estimated by comparing with the analytical solution of 2D Poiseuille flow and it is confirmed that the result shows good agreement with the theoretical value.

카메라 디포커싱을 이용한 로보트의 시각 서보

  • Recently, a visual servoing for an eye-in-hand robot has become an interesting problem. A distance between a camera and a task object is very useful information for visual servoing. In the previous works for visual servoing, the distance can be obtained from the difference between a reference and a measured feature value of the object such as area on image plane. However, since this feature depends on the object, the reference feature value must be changed when other task object is taken. To overcome this difficulty, this paper presents a novel method for visual servoing. In the proposed method, a blur is used to obtain the distance. The blur, one of the most important features, depends on the focal length of camera. Since it is not affected by the change of object, the reference feature value is not changed although other task object is taken. In this paper, we show a relationship between the distance and the blur, and define the feature jacobian matrix based on camera defocusing to operate the robot. A series of experiments is performed to verify the proposed method.

Nondestructive Evaluation of Nanostructured Thin Film System Using Scanning Acoustic Microscopy (초음파현미경을 이용한 나노 구조 박막 시스템의 비파괴평가)

  • In recent years, as nano scale structured thin film technology has emerged in various fields such as the materials, biomedical and acoustic sciences, the quantitative nondestructive adhesion evaluation of thin film interfaces using ultra high frequency scanning acoustic microscopy(SAM) has become an important issue in terms of the longevity and durability of thin film devices. In this study, an effective technique for investigating the interfaces of nano scale structured thin film systems is described, based on the focusing of ultrasonic waves, the generation of leaky surface acoustic waves(LSAWs), V(z) curve simulation and ultra high frequency acoustical imaging_ Computer simulations of the V(z) curve were performed to estimate the sensitivity of detection of micro flaws(i.e., delamination) in a thin film system. Finally, experiments were conducted to confirm that a SAM system operating at a frequency of 1 GHz can be useful to visualize the micro flaws in nano structured thin film systems.
