A Study of Utilizing 2D Photo Scan Technology to Efficiently Design 3D Models (2D 포토 스캔 기술을 활용한 효율적인 3D 모델링 제작방법 연구)

  • Generally, in special effect video and 3D animation design process, character and background's 3D model is built by 3D program like MAYA or 3DS MAX. But in that manual modeling mode, model design needs much time and costs much money. In this paper, two experimental groups are set to prove use 2D photo scan modeling mode to build 3D model is effective and advanced. The first experimental group is modeling the same object by different experimental setting. The second experimental group is modeling the same background by different experimental setting. Through those two experimental groups, we try to find an effective design method and matters need attention when we use photo scan design mode. We aim to get the model from whole experiment and prove photo scan modeling mode is effective and advanced.

  • 컴퓨터 그래픽스를 이용한 디지털 콘텐츠를 제작 및 생산함에 있어서 마지막 단계에서 렌더링 과정을 꼭 거쳐야 하기 때문에 렌더링 부분은 아주 중요하다. 렌더링해야 할 디지털 콘텐츠에는 게임과 같이 실시간성이 아주 중요한 콘텐츠가 있으며, 영화와 같이 영상의 높은 품질을 요구하는 콘텐츠가 있다. 본 고에서는 영화와 같이 고품질을 요구하는 콘텐츠에 대한 렌더링 기술에 대하여 다루고자 한다. 영화의 한 장면과 같이 복잡하며 높은 해상도를 갖는 영상을 기존 단일 CPU 및 소프트웨어 렌더러를 이용하여 렌더링하는 데 아주 많은 시간이 걸린다. 본 고에서는 렌더링 시간을 줄이며 높은 품질의 렌더링 결과를 얻는 기술을 3가지 부분에서 소개하고자 한다. 첫번째 방법에는 수십 개에서 수천 개의 CPU를 이용하거나 PC를 클러스터링하는 방법이고, 두번째는 기존 GPU의 기술이 아주 빨리 발전하여 CPU 보다 빠른 성능을 갖기 때문에 GPU를 활용하여 가속화하는 방법이 있으며, 세번째는 전용 하드웨어를 제작하여 렌더링을 가속하는 방법이 있다. 위의 방법들에 대한 기술 동향에 대하여 살펴보도록 한다.

  • Generally dentures are manufactured by conventional method, however the frequency of fabricating denture using digital method is increasing due to the recent development of digital technology in dentistry. The digital method of manufacturing denture is classified into two systems; 3D scan of the impression to arrange the artificial teeth on the CAD (Computer-aided design) and 3D printing to produce the resin-based complete denture, or 3D scan of the model to design of the framework using CAD, resin pattern formation by 3D printing and casting of metal framework of complete denture or removable partial denture. In this case report, electronic surveying and design the metal framework of the dentures were performed using CAD program, and plastic resin patterns fabricated by 3D printing were casted for upper full denture and lower removable partial denture. During follow-up periods, dentures using digital method have provided satisfactory results esthetically and functionally.

  • In this paper, we propose the method for creating a stable stereoscopic 3D contents with the production guidelines by removing the excessive depth value and scene changes for high quality. We have developed a three-dimensional depth analysis tool for detecting the scene changes out of the production guidelines and the depth value changes excessively. The Scenes detected by depth analysis tool can be modified at the post production and it helps to make a stable stereoscopic 3D contents.

  • The advance of IT brings various IT equipment which functions as creation, application, and distribution of digital contents, and its demand is increased in the market. As the world IT equipment market has grew steadily, some companies think of it as a good opportunity. But there is a entry barrier like IT Capabilities to the late movers. So some participate in the market, forming the technology alliance with a advanced company. Ironically, the market system set companies' partnership into rivalry. In this context, our study focused on strengthening late mover's competitiveness under the technology alliance. And we conducted the case study concerning the technology alliance, and showed a strategical implications. As a result, we found some challenges for late mover; price policy making by scientific demanding forecasting, preparatory research and management for brand identity and efficient contact points for customer management. We hope that results of the study will influence the development of digital contents industry.

  • Recently, digital implant systems are expanding its influence in dental area. Due to technical improvement, they jumped over their limits nowadays. We can use these newest systems to treat edentulous patient, from implant surgery to fabrication of prosthesis. In this case, The patient was a fifty years old female. She had a full edentulous ridge on mandible and wanted to reconstruct occlusion with using implants. We planned to use digital implant system with "all-on-4" concept on mandible and produced surgical guide for flapless implant surgery. After the surgery, we tried to fabricate full arch prosthesis just using a digital devices and confirmed satisfying result.

  • 디지털 컨텐츠는 UHD, 3D, 파노라마 영상 등 다양한 형태로 발전되고 있다. 그 중 파노라마 영상은 여러 영상을 정합하여 넓은 시야각을 제공하는 컨텐츠로 전문적인 기술자들을 중심으로 제작되고 있다. 또한 디지털 컨텐츠의 제작자는 전문가에서 일반인으로까지 범위가 확장되었고, 발전된 형태의 컨텐츠를 일반인이 스마트폰 등의 개인 단말로 손쉽게 제작할 수 있도록 해주는 컨텐츠 생성 기술이 발달되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 일반 사용자들이 각각의 스마트폰 단말로 촬영한 여러 동영상들을 하나의 파노라마 영상으로 제작하기위한 기술 중, 각기 다른 스마트폰의 시간축을 이미지 매칭을 통해 하나의 통일된 시간축으로 동기화 시키는 기법에 관하여 연구하였다. 이를 위해, 본 논문에서는 동영상에서 시간정보로 이용하기 위한 오브젝트의 움직임이 포함된 시퀀스를 찾는 방법과 해당 시퀀스를 이용하여 다른 동영상과의 이미지 매칭으로 시간축을 동기화 시키는 방법을 제안한다.

  • 인터넷 방송은 인터넷의 인프라와 관련 기술의 급속한 발전. 아날로그 컨텐츠의 디지털화와 디지털 컨텐츠의 확보와 제작을 통해 확고한 자기 위치를 구축하고 있다. 현재 초 · 중등 학교 및 대학에서 인터넷방송국 구축 및 매체제작관련 시설이 산발적으로 이루어지고 있으나 대부분 원격 교육을 위한 인터넷 방송 시스템이지만, 향후 독립 인터넷방송국의 증대 및 활성화가 기대된다. 따라서 본 논문의 주제는 다양한 동영상 컨텐츠를 이용한 다 채널방송 및 독립인터넷방송국에 직접 적용할 수 있는 실질적인 인터넷 방송 시스템의 설계와 그 원형 구축에 관한 연구이다.

  • Beyond the digital world from the analog age, the contents are very easily copied under the illegal conditions and these are rapidly distributed by the information super highway. The increase of illegal usage and conflict in digital content market would diminish motivation of creators for their work, furthermore break down digital content market on cyberspace. Watermarking technology support to the legal users by the protection technique based on the digital content copyright protection method(DRM). Most of previous digital watermarking have embeded to the content. In this paper, we researched the standardization of digital rights management and developed more efficient watermark embedding method.

  • Stop-motion animation, which is based on the physical object and is shot frame by frame, is an traditional art of animation. As an independent art form, it has formed a unique art language through a century-long development. With the continuous exploration by animators, stop-motion animation has actively combined with digital technology, and has made a great progress in the use of materials and the technique of filming. the introduction of digital technology not only enriched it's artistic expression, but also laid the basis for it's sustainable development in the new era. This study investigates how 3D printer technology affects the production process and industry of stop motion animation.
