인터넷의 급속한 확산과 전세계 통신서비스의 확장으로 인해 세계는 정보의 공유와 다양한 삶의 변화를 가져오고 있다. 교통수단의 발달로 전세계가 일일생활권에 접어들었다면 인터넷과 통신수단의 발전으로 인해 세계는 동일문화권을 형성하고 있다. 주체할 수 없이 수많은 정보와 서비스속에서 사고 있지만, 아직도 좀더 편리하고 안전한 정보의 공유와 윤택한 삶을 영유하기 위한 많은 문제점이 있으며, 이러한 발전 속에서 더 많은 문제점들이 나타나고 있는 것이 현실이다. 또한 이러한 문제점들을 해결하기 위한 다양한 해결책들이 쏟아져 나오고 있다. 본 고에서는다루게 될 내용은 전체적인 공개키 기반구조를 살펴보고 이를 디지털 위성방송 한정 수신 시스템에 적용한다. 공개키 기반구조에 대해서는 인터넷에서 사용자를 인증하기 위한 X.509 인증서에 대해 살펴보고, 인증서를 이용한 서비스에 대해 살펴본다. 또한 최근 각 나라별 공개키 기반구조 표준안의 진행 상황을 알아보고 IETF PKIX 표준안으로서 공개키 관리 프로토콜, CRL CRL 확장, 인증서, 그리고 인증서 확장에 대해 살펴본다. 곧 실현될 디지털 위성방송의 유료화 서비스는 가입자 인증과 서비스에 대한 접근 통제가 가능해야 한다. 따라서 가입자에 대한 관리부분에 공개키 기반구조를 적용함으로써 가입자에 대한 인증과 서비스 및 접근 통제를 가능하게 한다.

The objective of this study was to promote the use of collaborative digital reference service by identifying factors that affect user satisfaction and developing improvement measures based on the findings. Data were collected via a questionnaire administered to the users of the "Ask a Librarian" service and a survey to analyze the frequency and patterns of usage of the service. The survey analyzed the associations among subjects' demographic characteristics, information seeking patterns, factors that influence user recognition, service satisfaction, and follow-up intentions via responses to the questionnaire. Rapidity answers in factors of service satisfaction is found that the high impact of positive (+). According to the result of statistical analysis, the priority of service improvement strategies of digital reference service were suggested.

최근 디지털 TV 방송의 활성화에 힘입어 수많은 채널을 통한 TV 프로그램 방송이 가능하게 되었다. 이로 인해 디지털 TV 시청자들은 신문 또는 TV 가이드와 같은 기존 인쇄매체를 통해 자신이 원하는 TV 프로그램 스케줄을 얻기가 사실상 매우 어렵게 되었다. 이와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위해 디지털 TV 환경에서는 전자 프로그램 가이드(EPG: Electronic Program Guide)를 제공한다. 현재 제공되고 있는 EPG 서비스들은 대개 디지털 TV 화면 또는 각 방송사 웹 사이트 그리고 이동 단말기 등을 통해서 서비스 되고 있다. 대부분의 기존 연구들은 EPG 정보를 화면상에 시각적으로 제공하는 측면에만 초점을 두고 있다. 하지만 실질적으로 사용자 입장에서는 원하는 방송 프로그램의 스케줄 정보를 찾기 위해서 수백 채널에 달하는 방송 프로그램에 대한 정보를 일일이 검색하는 것은 매우 힘든 일이다. 게다가 사용자가 원하는 키워드를 직접 입력하는 방식 또한 사용자를 매우 번거롭게 한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 EPG 서비스 방식에 VoiceXML 관련 기술을 접목하여 이동 단말기상에서 간단한 음성입력을 통해 EPG 서비스를 제공받을 수 있는 음성 인터페이스를 제안한다.

As the foundation of the National Digital Library(NDL) by the National Library of Korea is in progress, there has been an increasing interest in developing a policy for its successful operations. Although the research and support related to building domestic library policies have been limited so far, it is an important ongoing problem to develop and improve systematic and detailed policies for information services of digital libraries in order for them to continuously advance in a rapidly changing information environment along with various issues. Therefore, through a thorough review of the literature and overseas cases related to the development of digital library policies, this research aims to provide a new direction for establishing service policies of domestic digital libraries including the NDL by extracting its critical factors and issues.

The growth of IT technology and the popularity of network based information sharing increase the number of digital contents in military area. Thus, there arise issues of finding suitable public information with the growing number of long-term preservation of digital public information. According to the source of raw data and the time of compilation may be variable and there can be existed in many correlations about digital contents. The business service ontology makes knowledge explicit and allows for knowledge sharing among information provider and information consumer for public digital archive engaged in improving the searching ability of digital public information. The business service ontology is at the interface as a bridge between information provider and information consumer. However, according to the difficulty of semantic knowledge extraction for the business process analysis, it is hard to realize the automation of constructing business service ontology for mapping from unformed activities to a unit of business service. To solve the problem, we propose a new business service auto-acquisition method for the first step of constructing a business service ontology based on Enterprise Architecture.

The purpose of this study is to investigate a theoretical background of digital libraries and current projects on building digital libraries. It begins by describing the shift of paradigm and the concept of digital libraries. The paper continues by summarizing the principles and technology of building digital libraries. It also includes current projects of US, UK, Japan, and National Central Library, KAIST, LG Sangnam Library in Korea.

디지털 정보의 생성과 배포의 용이성은 디지털화된 동영상의 제작을 증가시키고 있다. 그러나 디지털 콘텐츠는 복제가 쉽고 누구나 접근이 가능한 인터넷을 통해 전달될 수 있으므로 저작권 침해가 중요한 문제로 대두되고 있다. 이러한 문제점은 특히 사용자의 PC에 저장되어 재생되는 동영상에 주로 발생하였으며, 종래에는 사용자의 PC에 저장된 동영상 파일의 보호를 위해 동영상 파일의 전체를 암호화한 후 적법한 사용자에게만 암호화된 동영상 파일을 복호화 할 수 있는 정보를 제공하는 방법을 사용하였다. 사용자의 PC에 저장되어 재생되는 동영상에 비하여 스트리밍 서비스를 통하여 재생되는 동영상은 사용자의 PC에 저장되지 않도록 함으로써 불법 복제등의 문제를 해결하였다. 하지만 근래 스트리밍을 통하여 서비스되는 동영상을 저장할 수 있는 프로그램이 속속 등장하면서 스트리밍을 통하여 서비스되는 동영상에 대한 보호 방안도 필요하게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 스트리밍 컨텐츠로 가장 널리 사용되고 있는 마이크로소프트의 멀티미디어 파일 포맷인 ASF를 기반으로한 스트리밍 시스템에 DRM을 적용하는 방안에 대하여 설명한다.

디지털 기술 및 통신 기술의 발달로 방송.통신.컴퓨터.가전의 경계가 불확실해지고 사용자에게 다양한 형태의 융합된 서비스 제공이 가능하게 되어, 일방적으로 서비스를 사용자에게 제공하는데 그치지 않고 사용자가 서비스를 직접 선택하고 서비스 공급자에게 자신의 정보를 제공하는 대화형 방송 기술이 주요한 디지털서비스 요소로 자리잡고 있다. 본 논문에서는 국내외의 대화형 방송 기술 개발 현황을 살펴보고, 한국전자통신연구원에서 개발중인 대화형 위성통신방송 시스템 기술, 대화형 위성통신방송 단말기술, 대화형 위성원격교육 기술에 대하여 기술한다.

방송과 통신이 융합됨에 따라 다양한 멀티미디어 서비스가 출현하고 있으며 가정에서도 다양하고 질 좋은 홈서비스에 대한 요구가 증대하고 있다. 이러한 다양한 홈 서비스 환경을 제공하기 위해 지능형 홈네트워크 플랫폼이 제안되고 구축되고 있으나 댁내부의 홈게이트웨이나 홈서버 등의 가입자 장치를 통한 응용 프로그램만으로는 다양한 서비스 제공에는 한계가 있다. 따라서, 외부에서 제공되는 다양한 디지털 홈서비스를 사용자에게 편리하고 안전하게 전달하고 사용자의 개입 없이 외부의 서비스 제공자가 개발한 홈서비스를 제공 수 있는 개방형 서비스 관리 구조가 요구된다. 본고에서는 다양한 홈서비스가 서비스 제공자로부터 사용자 장치에 분배, 운용, 관리될 수 있는 환경인 개방형 디지털홈 서비스 분배관리 체계를 소개하고, 홈네트워크 상의 서비스 사용자 뿐 아니라, 외부에서 댁내의 서비스를 이용하고자 하는 사용자에게 편리하고 안전하게 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 디지털 홈 서비스 플랫폼인 분배관리시스템 플랫폼을 제안한다.

정보통신 및 인터넷의 급속한 발전으로 디지털 콘텐츠의 유통이 활발해지고 있으나 디지털, 콘텐츠에 대한 서비스 방식이 위치정보를 가지고 서비스하는 URL(Uniform Resource Locator)방식의 문제점과 기존의 물리적인 저작물r이 디지털 콘텐츠로 전환되면서 기존의 식별자로는 디지털 콘텐츠의 특성을 충족시키는 식별이 미흡하고 한계가 있다. 따라서, 해외 주요 디지털 콘텐츠 서비스기관의 식별체계 활용사례를 분석하고 그 결과를 토대로 한국과학기술정보연구원(KISTI) 고유 식별자인 KOI(Kisti Object Identifier)를 개발하고 개발된 KOI를 기반으로 과학기술분야 전자원문 연계시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다.
