Traditional Donors in Good Governance and Corruption: Analysis on 43 African Recipients (굿 거버넌스 전통 공여국 원조와 부패: 아프리카 43개국 분석연구)

  • This study analyzes the relationship between OECD DAC aid and recipients' corruption based on the good governance discussion. The study applies a fixed-effect model and PCSE model with a dataset of 43 African countries' corruption perception index, World Bank data, Polity IV, and OECD DAC aid statistics between 2000 and 2014. A statistical analysis confirmed that OECD DAC aid has a negative impact on corruption in African countries. DAC's aid affects negatively to corruption in African countries, especially in countries where democracy has matured. This research suggests that a more comprehensive follow-up study of the OECD DAC's good governance-oriented aid. Simultaneously, the general democratic effect on the recipients' institutions could not be applied in African countries, when considering regional peculiarities.

  • Modem society is information oriented with countless people needing quick reliable information. They also wart to be freed from the limitations of reality such astime and space and experience the world of imagination as if it was reality. Design is creating something out of nothing which has an innate sense of virtual within it. Since it is a process of bringing an imagingnation or an image to life, it can be described as the realization of virtuality. there are many ways in which computer adapted methods were utilized for design up to now. With the advance of computers, the process of desinging became efficient, visually complex and much easier. Undoubtedly, computer is a powerful hardware an design and furthermore, find a way to maximize the presence and to actively incorporate this in designing. The virtual reality system can be widely applied to environmental design to provude a high quality design and enhance the feeling of reality through imitation experiments. Computer simulation such as virtual reality systems is expected to be used widely in environmental design.

A Study on Library 3.0 Concept and its Service Model (도서관 3.0의 개념과 서비스 모형에 관한 연구)

  • Recently the concept of Library 3.0 and its substance have been discussed by scholars and specialists along with Web 3.0. This study aims to analyze the debates on Library 3.0 and review the concept of Library 3.0. In addition, this study proposes library 3.0 service model based on its analysis. The keywords of in the proposed Library 3.0 model in this study is the Social Semantic Digital Library(SSDL), the Linked Library, and the Mobile Library. First, the SSDL means a real knowledge sharing and cooperation by applying both semantic web technology that which can manage data by machines and social networking services into e-libraries. Second, the Linked Library indicates that library resources become linked data that link libraries in all over the world. Finally, the Mobile Library refers to ubiquitous library equipped with RFID and mobile technology.

  • In this paper we propose the structure of MPEG-4 multimedia player platform for Terrestrial Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (DMB) Service. Korea will launch DMB service at next 2004 you based on Eureka-147 Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) Service System. This new mobile multimedia broadcasting services provide not only high quality digital audio broadcasting services, but also various multimedia data broadcasting services including high quality video. For the sake of MPEG-4 Systems technologies, it will provide an interactive service to users in the near future. Therefore it terminal shall have various functionalities as well as playing audio-visual contents. However there is no precedence standard for such mobile interactive multimedia broadcasting system. Therefore it is very import to provide the multimedia player platform of DMB service for accelerating the development process of commercial terminal and providing a direction of next DMB terminal structure.

  • Shipping and logistics safety, security system is strengthening worldwide, the development of shipping and logistics safety security core technology for national security logistics system construction has been carried out. In addition, it is necessary to localize the Array Detection System, which is a core component of the container search machine, to cope with the 100% pre-inspection of the container scheduled for 2018 in the United States. In this research, we propose a test software program developed by using TI-RTOS (Texas Instruments - Real Time Operating System) with a test digital signal processing board which is developed self development. We have developed a program that can test GPIO, SRAM, TCP/IP, and SDcard using M4 MCU. Also we propose a study on a self-developed Digital Signal Processing Board among the array detection systems that replace foreign products. We have developed a test board that can test M4 MCU and developed an X-Ray Detector Digital Signal Processing Board that combines MCU and FPGA.

  • This research dwells on categorization and industrialization of cultural heritage resources using marketing. Since many organization would not grab the chance of business while doing marketing using cultural heritage, the paper intend to suggest proper way to develop strategy. For that purpose, this research analyzed some advanced cases of corporate like Google and other national endeavors. This paper founded out 4 models of marketing using cultural heritage resources. These are re-creation, patron, capitalization and media. Also we got practical implications of the case analysis and modeling which are collaboration partnership scheme between marketers and filed expert group. Marketers better find fitful information and right person utilizing more reliable sources such as national archives, and academic achievements. If the marketers implement such strategic program, really abundant types of cultural heritage resources using marketing could bring more favorable profit which means business chance and new horizon for global culture industry.

  • The role of the Internet of Things in the Fourth Industrial Revolution is in the era of collecting data at the end and analyzing big data through technology to analyze the future or behavior. Therefore, due to the nature of the IoT, it is vulnerable to security and requires a lightweight security protocol. The spread of things Internet technology is changing our lives a lot. IT companies all over the world are already focusing on products and services based on things Internet, and they are going to the era of all things internet that can communicate not only with electronic devices but also with common objects. People, people, people and objects, things and things interact without limitation of time and space, collecting, analyzing and applying information. Life becomes more and more smart, but on the other hand, the possibility of leakage of personal information becomes greater. Therefore, this study proposed security threats that threaten the protection of personal information and countermeasures, and suggested countermeasures for building a secure IoT environment suitable for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

  • Software education is drawing attention as an education for fostering future talents who will lead the 4th industrial revolution. The purpose of software education for everyone from kinder to adults is not simply to develop programming skills, but to develop "Computational Thinking," a problem-solving ability that effectively solves real-world problems based on computing. Therefore, how to cultivate and evaluate computational thinking is a very important issue. This paper proposed a method of applying a process-based performance evaluation method to evaluate computational thinking ability in the process of solving learners' problems. The developed contents were revised and supplemented through two Delphi surveys by a group of experts consisting of five university professors and five incumbent information teachers majoring in computer science and computer education to verify the effectiveness of the final model. I hope This paper can contribute to the study of evaluating computer thinking ability from the perspective of problem solving.

  • This study examined a semantic relationship expressed in college presidents' welcome greetings in order to explore the promotion strategies and future direction of universities in Daegu & Gyeongbuk provinces in South Korea. Greetings were collected from university websites as of September, 2020. According to word frequency analysis, "everyone," "welcome," and "visiting" were mostly used in the headlines. In the body texts, "college" and "education" were frequently paired. While the two- & three-year colleges focus on industrial and technical capabilities, four-year universities tend to emphasize educational excellence and academic research performance. This study is valuable in that it understands the direction that universities in Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province put forward amid the decreasing school-age population and the changing social environment.

  • For this study, we have extensively analyzed the presentation data of the government's financial-related departments and the data of each financial institution and electronic financial institution.. As a result, In Korea's electronic financial environment, real changes such as first) expansion of non-face-to-face finance, second) teleworking in the financial sector, third) abolition of accredited certification, fourth) advanced voice phishing, fifth) openness of the financial industry and diversification of forms, sixth) the'walletless society'. In addition to the above, however, global changes triggered by the Fourth Industrial Revolution spread to the financial security sector, making it difficult to respond to problems such as artificial intelligence/ deep learning/ user analysis/ deepfake technology. As the proportion of electronic finance is increasing socially, it should be studied in the fields of electronic finance and its environment, and crime and criminal investigation.
