Study on Activate Methods for Digital Contents Service to Support Academic Courses in e-Learning (e-Learning 강의 지원을 위한 디지털콘텐츠 서비스 활성화 방안연구 - I 대학 교수.학생.도서관서비스를 중심으로 -)

  • The present thesis aims to analyze in consideration of recent changes in teaching environment in the universities the commercial digital contents and e-learning courses provided by the libraries, and to propose the ways to encourage university library service needed under the current situation. A survey of professors and students upon the quality of commercial digital contents service provided by the libraries in I University was made to measure its influence upon e-learning courses. The quality of commercial digital contents service provided by libraries was measured through Digital Library Service Quality Index (which will be referred as DL-SQL Model from here), which is used as a model to examine the Digital Library Service, with partial adjustments of 4 levels (information system service, digital books service, customer service quality, and customer community service) and 7 components (search possibility, an exclusive organization and interface, accessibility, digital books, customer support service, personalized service, and customer community). Among the library services in regard to digital contents, "customer service" and "customer community service" were analyzed to have stronger influence upon e-learning teaching and studying than quality-based service for "information system" and "digital books". Consequently, it is concluded that customized information service provided by the library for the professors who teach e-learning courses and their students is more influential to supporting e-learning courses than quantity pushing service through purchasing commercial digital contents, upon which the direction of digital contents policy to provide library services for e-learning courses should be based.

  • Rights process problem was stated among actors that participated in digital contents distribution while it was various type of digital content service. In order to solve it, It was expressed conceptual and technical elements by reflecting a system. Among them, the interoperability of metadata became a important issue. As for the metadata for contents service, necessity about standardization is stated as a basic framework composing a service system. This paper proposed the metadata element which focus on the rights process that is being a key factor of a DRM(Digital Right Management) system for digital comics contents service. Therefore, it was verified by using Context Model of MPEG-21 RDD with interoperability between metadata elements which developed a XML format and the existing MPEG-21 RDD elements. A Study on Factors Affecting Customer Satisfaction and Purchase Intention of Digital Cultural Contents (디지털 문화콘텐츠의 고객만족도 및 구매의도에 영향을 미치는 요인들에 관한 연구 )

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of digital cultural contents characteristics, perceived values and perceived risks on customer satisfaction and purchase intentions for Chinese consumers, and contribute to the development of digital cultural contents. In addition, a total of 328 valid samples were obtained through an online survey and empirical analysis was conducted. The analysis results of the study are as follows. First, except for creativity, which are characteristics of digital cultural contexts, entertainment and interactivity also have a significantly positive effect on both customer satisfaction and purchase intention. Second, perceived value has a significant positive effect on customer satisfaction and purchase intention, whereas perceived risk does not have this significant effect. Third, customer satisfaction has a partial mediating effect between the three factors(entertainment, interactivity, perceived value) and purchase intention. Therefore, to promote the development of digital cultural contents, we could promote consumers' purchase behavior by improving satisfaction through content entertainment, communication between content producers and service providers, and unity and value that customers actually feel during the consumption process.

  • 핵심적인 문화산업으로 높은 부가가치를 인정받고 있는 애니메이션 산업이지만, 정작 애니메이터들의 근무 환경을 상당히 열악한 것으로 조사됐다. 한국문화콘텐츠진흥원 애니메이터 500명을 대상으로 실시한 실태분석 결과를 지난달 7일 발표했다.이번 조사는 국내 문화콘텐츠산업 인력에 대해 실시한 최초의 실태조사로 애니메이터의 직무특성, 직무경력, 교육 및 훈련과정,인력수요, 근로조건, 직무만족도 등에 대한 항목이 조사됐다.

  • Current technologies on digital rights management (DRM) have focused on security and encryption as a means of solving the issue of unauthorized copying, that is, locking the content and limiting its distribution to only purchasers. But, illegal content copy should be protected not only from purchasers but also from other principals such as media distributors and content providers. In this paper, we designed and implemented end-to-end digital lights management system that can cover a content protection on the overall value-chains of content distribution. Proposed system provides content protection and secure management of digital rights in creator, provider, and distributor like in purchaser. Accordingly it can provide an environment protecting each principal's digital rights and prohibiting illegal usage of content.

  • 책은 아동들의 언어 학습을 위한 환경을 제공하고, 세계에 관한 지식을 확장시켜 준다. 또한 책을 매개로한 타인과의 상호 작용은 아동에게 읽기와 쓰기의 관례적 형태와 그 기능을 알게 만든다. 그러나 영상 매체 시대에 살고 있는 우리 아이들을 위해서는 전통적 종이책 읽기를 강요하기 보다는 친숙한 디지털미디어를 언어교육을 위한 적극적 도구로 활용해 아이들이 능동적으로 참여할 수 있는 구체적 방법에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 전자책을 매개한 아동 대상의 인터넷 커뮤니티의 기존 사례분석을 통해 대안적 아동커뮤니티의 발전방향을 제시하고자 한다.

  • As the amount of information increases explosively with the development of society, the need for a digital archive has emerged in order to maintain information efficiently. There is a current standard of digital archive is OAIS(Open Archival Information System) reference model. OAIS reference model is mainly interested in long-term preservation and concerned about comprehensive content. This paper propose digital archive workflow that is used not only for long-term preservation but also for the efficient utilization with the image data. The OAIS reference model and the metadata standard should be added surge information to build a digital archive. Therefore we propose metadata model should be managed based on multi-level classes not only for effective digital image archive but also for utilization.

  • A significant number of studies have been conducted on user perceptions of archive and record contents for the National Archives of Korea (NAK) and local record centers in the field of archives and records management in Korea. Yet, there has not been such a research on the use of digital archive contents designed for contents creation. Accordingly, this study investigated user perceptions of the use of the contents on the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA)'s Culturing archive designed for creation purposes. A survey was conducted, examining the user's degree of interests, the expected user preference of the use and the expected extent of help by the contents of the archive. For the analyses of the survey data, this study performed one-way ANOVA for the comparative analyses of the means related to the subjects' general characteristics and the perceptions, along with cross-tabulation analyses for the association among the same items and nominal variables related to perceptions. On the basis of these analyses, this study suggests the following: ① to supplement the contents of the archive; ② to design customized interfaces and to enhance the readability; ③ to reinforce site PRs for large portal sites and creators' groups.

  • With the increase of digital content usages, the protection for digital content and intellectual property becomes more important. The DRM(digital rights management) technologies are applicable to protect not only any kind of digital contents but also intellectual property. Besides such techniques are required for recorded digital broadcasting contents due to introduction of digital broadcasting techniques and storage devices such as personal video recorder. The conventional protection scheme for broadcasting content is the CAS(conditional access system) by which the access of viewer is controlled on the specific channels or programs. The CAS prohibits the viewer from delivering the digital broadcasting content to other person, so it results in restriction of superdistribution on the digital broadcasting content. In this paper, for broadcast targeting unspecfic many people, we will design the service model of the protection and distribution of digital broadcasting content using encryption and license by employing the concept of DRM. The results of implementation are also shown to verify some functions of each component. An implemented system of this paper has some advantages that the recording of broadcast content is allowed on set-top-box and superdistribution is available by consumer. Hence it provides content providers and consumers with trustworthy environment for content protection and distribution.

  • In this paper, we developed an virtual lecture to study digital logic circuits. The contents is intended fer the students without or with little knowledge about electrics or electronics. For the beginners, the lecture contains the basic electronics and basic circuit theory as well as the degital logic circuits to be more practical lecture. And we developed the virtual circuit lab which uses real-like devices, circuits and interactive objects for the students to experience practical digital circuits. With the features described above, this contents would be useful for the beginners who want to studying digital logic circuits.
