The Interlock Techniques of A Digital Image Frame n:m Server based on Embedded Linux Utilizing Multi Agent (멀티 에이젼트를 이용한 임베디드 리눅스 기반의 디지털 이미지 프레임 n:m 서버 연동기법)

  • 디지털 액자 또는 디지털 앨범은 여러장의 디지털 이미지를 저장 장치에 저장하여 LCD를 통해 디지털 이미지를 감상할 수 있는 임베디드 장치로 저장 장치에 기록되어 있는 이미지나 네트워크와 통신이 된다면 이미지 서버와 1:1 통신으로 지정된 이미지를 다운받을 수 있다. 이러한 1:1 통신의 이미지 다운로드 방법은 액자에서 액자로 이미지를 전송하거나 다운받을 수 없으므로 원격지의 디지털 액자로 자신이 원하는 이미지를 전송할 수 없는 불편함이 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 자신의 디지털 액자에서 원격지의 디지털 액자 또는 원격지의 디지털 액자에서 자신의 디지털 액자로 선택한 이미지, 또는 전송받는 이미지를 송수신 할 수 있는 디지털 전자액자의 n:m 연동 방법을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 방법은 범용 이미지 서버와 디지털 전자액자에 에이젼트를 사용하여 디지털 전자액자와 원격지 디지털 전자액자의 이미지 공유가 가능할 수 있다.

  • Images such as photos, film and documents can be difficult to interpret because of aging or noise distortion. There are various methods for restoring noise-distorted images using filters and thresholds. Regardless of the condition or type of image, the process is difficult. In this paper we propose a method of digital image processing that we developed in which a composite image is formed by blending and color mapping.

  • 본 논문에서는 디지털 이미지를 대칭 및 비대칭 암호화와 워터마킹 기법을 사용하여 안전하게 전송하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 기법은 디지털 이미지의 안전한 전송을 위하여 필수적인 네가지 조건 즉. 비밀성, 인증, 무결성, 부인방지 기능을 제공한다. 비대칭 키 암호화 기법은 전자서명의 발행과 대칭키의 암호화를 위해 사용하고, 대칭키 암호화 기법은 워터마크가 삽입된 디지털 이미지를 암호화 하는데 사용하며, 워터마킹 기법은 전송하고자 하는 디지털 이미지에 전자서명을 삽입하기 위해 사용한다. 제안한 방법의 장정은 전자서명이 별도의 파일로 첨부되는 기존의 전송방식과는 달리 암호화된 디지털 데이터와 전자서명이 동일한 파일 내에 존재하게 되는 것이다.

  • This paper investigates how digital technology innovates the aesthetic ontology of film images. The modern civilization of computer and internet bring about the new ontology of film images. Digital hybrid image expands the contradictory combination of physical reality and filmic fantasy. It is inevitable to recount Walter Benjamin' s concept of mechanical reproduction in the age of digital cinema. The modern condition of image arts changes the concept of mechanical reproduction to the logic of digital configuration. In addition, computer simulation innovates the film aesthetics of montage to the aesthetics of digital collage. The technological and aesthetical development of computer simulation and internet network leads to the new ontology of digital hybrid images. This study suggests a new theoretic point that the aesthetic ontology of digital hybrid images leads to the expansion of filmic fantasy and expression.

  • 본 논문은 디지털 TV에서 시정자가 보고 있는 동영상에서 관심 있는 화면을 갭춰하여 저장하고, 그 저장된 이미지들을 미술관이나 박물관 같이 꾸며진 환경에서 감상하듯이 다시 볼 수 있는 자신만의 이미지 갤러리를 만드는 것을 목적으로 한다. 또한, 컴퓨터 안에 있는 이미지를 PDA나 휴대폰 등에 쉽게 업로드할 수 있는 것과 같이 디지털 TV에서도 이 이미지들을 가공하거나 이메일을 통해 다른 사람에게 전달할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 디지털 TV에 이러한 갤러리 기능을 추가하기 위한 데이터 방송 애플리케이션의 설계와 구현을 기술한다. 이 애플리케이션은 디지털 방송이 시작되면서 가능해진 본격적인 데이터 방송을 응용한 독특한 예이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 데이터 방송을 구현하는데 필요한 요소를 기술하고, 애플리케이션을 구현하는 과정에서 해결해야 했던 문제점들을 기술한다.

  • Argument on the postmodernism of philosophy and history, epic and effect, and culture and art is becoming more ambiguous in scope due to digital technology development. Digital technology makes to change of aesthetic approach over the length and breadth of art and culture including medium art. Analysis of Digital images is changed from presence of images to feature analysis of images which is made by digital technology, and raise the question of how to analyze the images of reproducing digital technology focused on realism. Digital image, focused on hyper reality, should be approached not by film aesthetic approach but by shot unit. Due to emphasizes image reality reproduction by frame unit and not the short unit of the narrative approach, the artistic approach should differ from previous realism practice. Particularly, when considering movies which is focused on illusion, the realistic approach should be realized not in the of realistic approach in narrative aspect but in the aspect of realistic approach in painting aspect.

  • As a high-speed growth of internet infrastructure and a fast supply of digital imaging devices, a digital image contents industrialization is growing fast. Digital image contents are represented as digitalized images for recognition by the computer. This paper proposes the customized stock image contents management system for digital image contents developers and UCC contents producers. For automatic batch management of image contents, we design the system using the techniques of stock image meta-data conversion to want, image contents format conversion to want and selective image contents uploading to want. Furthermore, constructed system can be embedded to a system easy and fast. It provides efficient work environment as appling conventional systems and contributes for user-friendly interface construction.

  • The purpose of this thesis is to examine ontology of digital photo image based on a Simulacre concept of Gilles Deleuze & Jean Baudrillard. Traditionally, analog image follows the logic of reproduction with a similarity with original target. Therefore, visual reality of analog image is illuminated, interpreted, and described in a subjective viewpoint, but does not deviate from the interpreted reality. However, digital image does not exist physically but exists as information that is made of mathematical data, a digital algorithm. This digital image is that newness of every reproduction, that is, essence of subject 'once existing there' does not exist anymore, and does not instruct or reproduce an outside target. Therefore, digital image does not have the similarity and does not keep the index instruction ability anymore. It means that this digital image is converted into a virtual area, and this is not reproduction of already existing but display of not existing yet. This not-being of digital image changes understanding of reality, existence, and imagination. Now, dividing it into reality and imagination itself is meaningless, and this does not make digital image with technical improvement but is a new image that is basically completely different from existing image. Eventually, digital image of the day passes step to visualize an existent target, nonexistent things have been visualized, and reality operates virtually. It means that digital image does not reproduce our reality but reproduces other reality realistically. In other words, it is a virtual reproduction producing an image that is not related to a target, that is to say Simulacre. In the virtually simulated world, reality has an infinite possibility, and it is not a picture of the past and present and has a possibility as the infinite virtual that is not fixed, is infinitely mutable, and is not actualized yet.

A Study on the Characteristics and Artistic Application of the Image in Post-Internet Art (포스트-인터넷 아트에서의 이미지 특징과 예술적 적용에 관한 연구)

  • This study intended to examine the nature of image which uses the network as the medium in the context of 'post-internet art' and categorize and analyze the cases of applications within art images. In the post-internet art which embraces the background of Web 2.0 and extended digital and network environment, image is transformed and re-mediated into various formats beyond fixed forms. Hito Steyerl defined the image, copied, downloaded, and reedited digitally in low quality as 'poor image.' Young artists, the digital native generation, capture and re-contextualize the changed network environment and depict it in various images. In this context, the application of image in post-internet art can be categorized and analyzed into the 'Image Collected as Material' produced by collecting and recomposing images found in social media, operating system, and website, 'Image Processed through Work' which is newly processed and re-contextualized by using editing programs, and 'Combined Digital-Reality Image' which represents the section of the digital society as the film and image that combine virtuality and reality.

  • This paper suggested that medical image database construction technique that generated and recognized from variable medical device and professional medical experts for the formalization and pattern extraction from informal medical images. And then we transformed informal image characteristics to digital data, and generated the meaningful pattern matching informations. Through this experienced works, so many related researchers can easily access the medical images database and use this formalized image informations on the variable fields.
