To achieve this, we sought to understand the cases and service status of online material collection in major foreign libraries and to derive directions and usage plans for our libraries based on the analysis of these foreign libraries' online material collection status. As a result of this research, it was found that the National Central Library needs to explore various strategies for expanding online material collection, including the proper collection and preservation of web resources that are being created and deleted, as well as expanding openness and utilizing archives. Secondly, as a central institution for future national information resources, it is necessary to establish a strategy for smoothly collecting, preserving, and servicing vast and complex web resources. Thirdly, there is a need to explore ways to implement a national-level web archive that can systematically collect, preserve, and utilize all web resources in our country. In the long term, it should be improved into a national platform capable of systematically collecting, preserving, and utilizing various types of web resources.

  • The Korean Archaeological Dictionary, which represents Korean archaeological knowledge information, contains refined and high-quality information written by expert collective intelligence. This is a characteristic that clearly distinguishes it from overseas archaeological data archives, and can be called differentiated infrastructure data. However, it has not played a role as an information service or knowledge information platform reflecting the latest digital technology. As a way to maximize these strengths and compensate for weaknesses, it was proposed to develop and operate a GIS-based knowledge and information platform for Korean archaeology. To realize this, it is necessary to develop a title management system centered on repositories and metadata that can collect and store various information, link open linked data design and related systems, develop a search function that can analyze and visualize data in response to the big data era, and establish a WebGIS-based information service system. This will be a platform to continuously manage, supplement, and update Korean archaeological knowledge information, build a ubiquitous environment where anyone can use information anytime, anywhere, and create various types of business models.

  • This study aims to examine the characteristics of news content and users' reactions in local broadcasting Youtube news' channel, and explore how the local media should response in the new online video environment. YouTube Open API sampled 3,950 news-related videos uploaded over a month on 31 YouTube news channels nationwide. The content analysis was performed on the basis of the analysis of individual videos, such as characteristics of each content and users' reactions. As a result, a few news channels have produced digital-only content, but the ratio has been very low, most were broadcast replay videos with titles and formats uploaded as they were. In some cases, it still operates as a comprehensive channel, which failed to show its expertise as an independent digital news platform. This shows that theses YouTube channels lacks differentiation from TV or its own web page, and is still skewed to the auxiliary role or online archive function of TV platform. Nevertheless, digital-only content, which can be a national issue based on regional expertise, has led to a higher number of views and users reactions, suggesting that is a realistic and effective strategy with expandability in online space in the future.
