  • 소비자들이 상품에 대한 미학적인 측면을 점점 더 중요시 하게 됨에 따라 현대 디자인은 기존의 개념을 탈피하여 새롭고 부드러우며 유연한 감성이 요구되고 있다. 디자인의 궁극적인 목표가 '소비자의 꿈을 현실로 만들어 주는 것'이라면 이러한 목표에 이르기 위한 '창의적 아이디어발상' 은 디자이너가 갖추어야 할 가장 중요한 능력 중의 하나이다. 따라서 본 연구는 창의적 아이디어 발상법에 대한 선행연구의 프로세스와 방법론의 문제점을 파악하고, 이를 보완한 새로운 디자인 방법론을 제시하고자 한다. 이와 같은 연구목적을 이루기 위해 사례연구로써 컴퓨터를 이용한 창의적 아이디어 발상법을 제안하여 디자이너에게 실제 디자인현장에서 활용할 수 있도록 하며 창의적 아이디어발상법의 개발에 대한 효과와 새로운 가능성을 제시하고자 한다.

  • This research is that it could use a theory from a .cognitive science, making a hypothesis to explain the thingking steps of designing, adapting the problem solving of the design from knowledge of a cognitive science, to meet the possiblity which it can be developed the new way of the thinking. Design is a field where it needs a complexity with hi-brain activities. And cognitive science is a science which it study human brain activities. However, it is also quite possible to bo adaped over all design by linking with design and cognitive science. I explaned the ideation of the thinking steps on this study by the knowledge of cognitive science, to observe to be possible. I found out the new ways of possibilities from design thinking process. It is a result that I've been interpretated the design process and the thinking process out of the theory of knowledge structure.

A Computer Mediated Design Development System for Design Innovation - the Focus on the Creative Thinking System for Idea Development in Product Design (디자인 혁신을 위한 창조적 발상지원 시스템 연구)

  • This paper focuses on the idea development as a creative thinking process for design innovation. The process of thinking has the thinking structures of abduction and transformation. After we had studied the design thought, we found a structure of a thinking system, and created a creative thinking model with this. Using job analysis, we examined the duster of design jobs, which form the design process, and verified the thinking model. The findings suggest that our idea development has the creative process not only of divergent thinking and convergent one, but also of transformation in design. In same time, the design thinking shows their pattern of transition from abstract concept to concrete object. Between the design jobs, idea development shows higher difficulty than other jobs - marketing, product planning and follow-up. Combining the D-T-C (Divergent-Transformation-Convergent) thinking with abstract-concrete thinking, we designed a DFD(data flow diagram) for an early model of computer mediated thinking system (CMTS). This has implications for design support.

  • Under the ambiguous situation that design aim is not defined, this study would help designers with 1. overcoming the limitation of form generation ability by establishing visual application system, 2. accepting users'opinions by generating images dynamically, analysing and giving information on the preferred ones on the web on real time, 3. identifying tendency of preference so that they can generate preferred colors and images in future by updating image combination and dropping low-preferred ones. This system would play a role as an idea or form generation application in the product design development process.

  • This study is to help creative idea generation based on the theory of the 'reconstruction of character shape image elements', and aims to extrusion of creative and diverse shapes with combination of image elements upon computing creative image generation. In order to suggest the design generation methodology for the maximization of idea generation ability and to overcome restriction of thinking out of existing idea generation methodology, it has suggested the CGS(Character Generation System) that is a creative idea generation methodology identified and complemented the problem of the existing computerized idea generation(PDS with Proportion) method out of the preceded studies on the creative idea generation methodologies. this study is expected to have effectives as one method for idea generation or creative image generation assistance during the 3D character development process, and to serve as an assistance to overcome the restriction of the character shape image generation through diverse idea generations.

  • Design is a realm one should have brought out creativity. So designers have continuously struggled for creating something new. In respects of that the essence of design work is making novel and creative things, and in design process' creative idea generation' to reach a final design solution is one of important capability that designers must have. In this study two different substantial methods for creative idea generation are suggested. One is existing' analogical association', an essential form widely used in association process, another is 'shape elements reconstruction' similarly operated 'shape grammar'. Therefore in this study for finding methods to reinforce designers' creative idea generation both of paper-based and computer-based design method are suggested substantially. In Both there is a common feature that existing or quiet new elements are organizationally associated or reconstructed in idea generation procedure.

  • In the present society where aesthetic designs would have product value, designs must be the ones that add flexible sensation as well as the energy of counteraction which escapes from and destroys existing concept. The 'creative expression' to reach such design objectives is one of the most important abilities which designers must possess and is an overall concept in problem solving of designing which participates in formative approach or image development as well as product concepts such as function or performance . In this research, the definition of creativity, environmental change of designing, conditions designers must possess followed by these things and creative design expressions researched in the past, etc are examined and by presenting design method for creative designing concept targeting mobile phones, it will attempt to contribute in the importance of creativity and improve creative value of designers.

  • To develop a creative design concept, amount of idea thinking between team members is important. In the process of planning to proposal brainstorming helps clarification of problems and allows a creative solution. Here, idea generation is to express thinking into words, and greater amount of idea is more valued than to choose one fine idea at first. This paper studies actual processes of brainstorming, and we utilize network services upgraded in Web and multimedia techniques to develop idea with arrangement. We compare the amount of idea generation by groups and topics with Brainwriting and Braindrawing of Webstorming, without limitation of space and time. Then, we propose a creative idea thinking by analyzing the characteristics of design team members in various aspects. This result will contribute in improving national potential value and design competitiveness by the help of design and IT, on product research and marketing.

  • The present thesis is to concretize process stages and methods for effective use of online CGTS(creative group thinking system), or the web-storming program, in space design and to propose a support system for idea generation specific to space design. For the purpose of this study, activity factors in space design process and functional factors of the web-storming program were written into an interaction matrix, which was used for a questionnaire survey on correlations. Then, the results of the interaction matrix were visualized and analyzed following the procedure of observation-interpretation-application. The analysis found that the schematic design stage is most correlated where close collaboration is performed in the process of space design and that differences in correlation arise upon division of work. As such, the present study proposed 'provision of media for ideas in accordance with specific process and UI optimization' as a means of improving usability in schematic design that is closely correlated and suggested an idea to enhance the applicability of web-storming system in division of work.
