본 논문에서는 MPEG-7 비주얼 디스크립터를 기반으로 Digital Image의 효과적인 검색이 가능한 시스템의 개발하였다. MPEG-7에 포함되어 있는 비주얼 디스크립터 툴은 컬러, 텍스처, shape, motion, localization, 얼굴 인식 등을 포함한다. 이들 MPEG-7에서 제공하는 비주얼 디스크립터를 그대로 이용하여 Digital Image의 검색 시스템을 구현하기에는 시스템이 불필요하게 커질 수 있으며 Digital Image의 검색 성능이 그다지 높지 않다는 문제점이 발생한다. 구체적으로는 모든 디스크립터를 이용하여 데이터베이스에 존재하는 모든 Digital Imag에 대한 검색을 수행하기에는 많은 처리시간이 요구된다는 것과 어떠한 디스크립터를 이용해야 정확한 검색이 이루어질지 알 수 없기 때문이다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는, MPEG-7 비주얼 디스크립터의 특성을 저작권위원회에서 제공받은 데이터베이스를 이용하여 분석하고 이들 디스크립터의 효과적인 결합 기술을 개발하였다. 기존의 디스크립터 결합 방식은 각각의 디스크립터에 동일한 가중치를 부여하고 검색을 수행하는 방식이었으나 본 논문에서는 정보이론을 기반으로 디스크립터의 가중치를 자동으로 부여하는 방식으로 검색 시스템을 구성하였다. 개발된 시스템은 기존의 동일한 가중치를 부여한 시스템에 비해서 데이터베이스에 대한 각 디스크립터의 특성을 반영하여 가중치를 결정하도록 구성하였다.

In this paper, to improve the retrieval Performance, an efficient combination of the MPEG-7 visual descriptors, such as the edge histogram descriptor (EHD), the color layout descriptor (CLD), and the homogeneous texture descriptor (HTD), is proposed in the framework of the relevance feedback approach. The EHD represents spatial distribution of edges in local image regions and it is considered as an important feature to represent the content of the image. The CLD specifies spatial distribution of colors and is widely used in image retrieval due to its simplicity and fast operation speed. The HTD describes precise statistical distribution of the image texture. Both the feature vector for the query image and the weighting factors among the combined descriptors are adaptively determined during the relevance feedback. Experimental results show that the proposed method improves the retrieval performance significantly tot natural images.

시소러스를 구축하기 위해서는 해당분야의 심도깊은 이해와 지식이 필요하다. 특히, 디스크립터의 선정과 디스크립터의 관계설정은 시소러스 개발자의 주관적인 판단에 따라 이루어지게 된다. 그러나 디스크립터의 선정은 자동색인분야의 연구로서 어느 정도 객관화가 가능하지만, 디스크립터개념간의 관계설정은 개발자의 주관에 전적으로 의존하게 된다. 본 논문은 자연어처리방법과 문헌내 용어출현빈도를 근거로 기계를 이용한 디스크립터간의 관계 설정방안을 제시하고 그 가능성을 조사하였다.

In intra-process isolation, file descriptors work as another attack vector from the memory corruption attacks. The attacker can read or write by corrupting file descriptors so they can escape the isolation. In this paper, we propose new lightweight capability-based access control system on file descriptor using ARM's hardware extension, PA(Pointer Authentication). Our system was implemented on Linux kernel module, only shows 5% overhead to control the access on the file descriptor.

The main purpose of this paper is to explain and analyze visual descriptors of MPEG-7 for representing multimedia content. This study describes MPEG-7 visual descriptors that are made of color, shape, texture, and motion using some examples and application areas in detail. As a result, those visual descriptors can represent the rich and deep features in multimedia contents domain. Also, the use of those descriptors will increase the retrieval effectiveness as well as the interoperability among systems through the consistency of the content representation.

디스크립터(Descriptor) 표현은 상태공간 표현을 확장시킨 일반적인 시스템의 기술방법으로 파라미터의 물리적인 구조를 보존하고 있으며, 임펄스를 포함한 현상을 기술할 수 있다. 또한, 대규모 시스템의 모델화가 용이하며, 프로퍼(Proper)이지 않은 시스템을 기술할 수 있고 구속조건을 가진 동적시스템의 기술이 가능하는 등의 특징을 지니고 있다. 그러나, 디스크립터 시스템의 해는 미분항을 포함하고 있으므로 노이즈 및 파라미터 변동에 대해서 매우 민감하여, 관측기설계시 강인(Robust)한 관측기설계가 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 디스크립터 시스템에 대해 로바스트 관측기의 일종인 비례적분(PI) 관측기의 설계에 대해서 논한다. 먼저, 디스크립터 시스템에 대한 PI 관측기의 존재조건을 유도하였으며, 체계적인 설계법을 보였다. 또한, PI 관측기의 존재조건이 Rosenbrock의 가관측 조건하에서 간단히 보여지며, 이것은 시스템 행렬의 Rank 조건에 의해 쉽게 구해질 수 있다.

This study purported to investigate the possibility of automatic descriptor assignment using the reclassification of author keywords in domestic scholarly databases. In the first stage, we selected optimal classifiers and parameters for the reclassification by comparing the characteristics of machine learning classifiers. In the next stage, learning the author keywords that were assigned to the selected articles on readings, the author keywords were automatically added to another set of relevant articles. We examined whether the author keyword reclassifications had the effect of vocabulary control just as descriptors collocate the documents on the same topic. The results showed the author keyword reclassification had the capability of the automatic descriptor assignment.

기존의 검색엔진은 검색결과를 적합도 순서로 나열하여 사용자가 원하는 문서를 찾는데 어려움이 있다. 이러한 문제의 해결책으로 검색결과 문서에 대해 자동 클러스터링을 수행하여 문서 내용이 유사한 문서가 하나의 클러스터내에 존재하도록 한다. 본 논문에서는 검색 결과 문서의 클러스터링에서 필요한 디스크립터 추출 방안을 제안한다. 각 클러스터 내에서 디스크립터를 추출하기 위해 정보검색의 색인과정에서 사용하는 용어 가중치 계산 방법을 이용한다.

The objective of this study is to prepare a source data in order to establish a standardization of scientific and technical terms in Korean language. This will contribute to accelerate the production of Korean databases in scientific and technical field and will be used as the most convenient search tool for accessing to the foreign database. This study includes the construction of the multi-lingual thesaurus comprising of Korean, English, and Japanese. First of all a theoretical background on thesaurus is reviewed, and terms are collected from JICST Thesaurus, English-Japanese List and JICST Thesaurus, Japanese-English List published by JICST in 1987. This multi-lingual thesaurus covers 38,318 terms of Korean descriptors, 2,870 terms of Korean non-descriptors, 38,318 terms of English descriptors, 11,910 terms of English non-descriptors, and 38,318 terms of Japanese descriptors, 9,789 terms of Japanese non-descriptors.

This study aims at the introduction of new catchment shape descriptor, developed by Moussa(2003), based on equivalent ellipse and the assessment of its hydrologic applicability. Two descriptors a+b and a+b+${\varepsilon}OM$were correlated to the lag time and those were applied to the estimation of representative values of Nash model parameters. They are applied in order to examine the practicality to 3 catchments in Korea, catchments in Korea, respectively, i.e. Pyeongchanggang catchment in Han river, Bocheongcheon catchment in Geum river and Wicheon catchment in Nakdong river. As a result both of two descriptors show higher correlations to the lag lime than classical geomorphologic factors and hereby Moussa's suggestion(2003) is confirmed. For the sake of simplicity the former is recommended. Also representative IUHs derived from this study show consistent basin response characteristics. It is desirable to conduct further more case studies on many other basins.
