Equivalent Shear Modulus of Egg-Box Core (에그-박스 코어의 등가 전단 탄성계수)

  • This paper deals with the equivalent shear modulus of the egg-box core. There are three approaches to obtain the equivalent shear modulus of core: a finite element analysis, an analytical study, and an empirical method. In this study, an 3-point bending test is used to evaluate the equivalent shear modulus of the Egg-Box core. As a result of the present work, the equivalent shear modulus of egg-box core at room temperature can be obtained. And this result is compared with the result of finite element analysis.

  • Since the mechanical properties of the rubber connectors used in the vehicle structures are sensitive on the dynamic characteristics of the system, they must be exactly evaluated. In this paper, both finite deformation theory and Hookean model are considered to calculate the stiffness coefficients of rubber connectors. An expert system is developed by using finite element method. When the equivalent stiffness coefficients on the same kinds of isolators used in actual vehicles were emperically examined, the results were largely dispersed due to the lack of the quality control on the material properties. To compensate the errors caused by the mathematical modeling and the mechanical properties, a practical method which identifies the shear and bulk moduli of rubber with the experimented overall force-deformation curves is suggested and applied to the engine isolators of vehicle.

Vibration Analysis of Laminated Composite Corrugated Plates (적층 복합재료 주름판의 진동해석)

  • This work presents the free vibration characteristics of laminated composite corrugated rectangular plates using the analytical method. Because it is very difficult to determine its mechanical behavior of 3-dimensional corrugated structures analytically, the equivalent homogenization model is adapted to investigate the overall mechanical behavior of corrugated structures. The corrugated element can be homogenized as an orthotropic material. Both the effective extensional and flexural stiffness of this homogenized equivalent orthotropic material are considered in the analysis. The present analytical results are validated by those obtained from 3D finite element analysis based on shell elements. The natural frequencies and global vibration mode shapes obtained from present analytical and finite element analysis are presented. Some numerical results are presented to check the effect of the geometric properties.

  • 크랙탄성평판의 굽힘문제가 경계적분방정식으로 구성되었다. 자연변수인 변위, 수직기울기, 굽힘 모우멘트, 등가전단적과 크랙끝에서 응력의 성장율로 정의되는 응력확대계수들이 주변수로 포함 된다. 이 적분방정식들은 가역에너지 적분이론(Green-Rayleigh)을 기초로 크랙응력분포특성에 맞 게 발전되었으며 해당되는 핵함수들이 유도되었다. 등분석 모우멘트를 받는 중앙크랙이 있는 정 4각형 모형에 대한 응력확대계수가 계산되어 기존의 유한요소법의 해와 비교되었다.

  • In this paper, the vibration characteristics of the trapezoidally corrugated plate are investigated by the analytical method. The corrugated plate is widely used as the structural elements because of its high stiffness and light weight. Because the corrugated plate is flexible in the corrugation direction and stiff in the transverse direction, it is treated as an equivalent orthotropic plate to analyze the corrugated plate simply. This equivalent plate must include both extensional and flexural effect to obtain the precise solution. The effective extensional and flexural stiffness of the equivalent plate are derived to consider these effects in the analysis. To demonstrate the validity of the proposed approach, the comparison is made with the previously published results and ANSYS solutions. Some numerical results are presented to check the effect of the geometric properties.

  • 본 논문에서는 지능형 작동기의 효율적 설계와 특성예측을 위하여 기계적 상사 모델을 개발하고, 작동기의 최적작동 조건을 고찰한다. 먼저 지능형 작동기의 기계적 상사는 단순한 2자유도 스프링-메스-뎀퍼 시스템으로 등가 시스템을 구현하였다. 이 때 스프링 강성계수는 시스템의 강성 또는 전기-기계 연성계수 등으로 상사되며, 전기회로 구성품 등은 질량, 뎀퍼 등으로 상사되어진다. 단순화된 기계적 상사모델을 이용하여 작동조건에서의 전기회로 구성품의 튜닝을 최적화 할 수 있다. 특히 작동기의 공진주파수에서의 특성을 고려하여 최적조건을 도출함으로써 그 성능을 극대화 할 수 있다.

  • 보 및 평판의 진동에 대해서 에너지의 손실은 재료감쇠를 이용한 표면감쇠처리나 지지부에서의 감쇠처리에 의하여 증가될 수 있다. 감쇠재료를 이용한 표면감쇠처리의 예로서 보/평판 표면에 접착되는 감쇠 테이프나 코팅등은 아주 효과적임이 입증되었다. 마찬가지로 지지부 감쇠처리는 점탄성재료의 삽입에 의해서 설명될수 있다[1]. 보/평판의 감쇠에 대한 최근의 많은 연구들은 진동하고 있는 보/평판의 표면에 적용하는 감쇠 테이프 혹은 적층형태의 감쇠 처리방법에 대해서 주로 수행되었다. 일반적으로 표면감쇠처리방법은 진동감소에 아주 효과적이지만 실제 적용상에서 항상 가능한 것은 아니며, 이와 같은 경웨는 지지부 감쇠 처리방법에 의존하게 된다[2]. 감쇠특성을 갖는 점탄성재료를 실제로 적용할 때 보/평판의 유한한 길이가 점탄성재료로 지지되며 점탄성재료의 물성치와 치수에 따라서 계의 모우드 매개변수(고유진동수, 계의 손실계수 그리고 모우드형상)가 크게 달라진다. 그리고 이와 같은 계에 대해서는 지지부의 거동보다는 전체 시스템의 고유진동수와 손실계수 그리고 보 영역에서의 모우드 형상에 더 관심이 있으므로 지지부 영역을 집중매개변수(lumped parameter)로 나타내어 계를 해석할 수 있다. 일반적으로 보와 평판의 경계에서는 병진 및 회전방향의 강성 뿐만 아니라 두 강성사이에 연성효과도 동시에 발생하게 되므로 이 항을 고려하여 계를 모델링해야 한다. 본 연구에서는 우선 점탄성 재료에 의한 지지부영역의 등가 강성계수들을 구하고 경계에 강성행렬을 갖는 보의 등가시스템을 얻는다. 그리고 등가시스템의 주파수방정식으로부터 모우드 매개변수에 대한 지지부의 영향을 살펴본다. 또한 시스템이 비교적 복잡한 사각 평판의 진동에 대해서도 동강성행렬법(dynamic stiffness matrix method)을 이용하여 해석하고자 한다. 수준임이 입증되었다. 본 연구의 결과를 토대로우리나라 젊고 건강한 남성에게 적합한 무게상수는 작업자군에 대하여 25.05kg, 학생군에 대하여 20.24kg 으로 나타나 이는 미국 NIOSH 안전기준과 대체로 일치함을 발견하였다.ive structures utilized in Client/server architecture for distribution and cooperative processing of application between server and client this study presents two different data management methods under the Client/server environment; one is "Remote Data Management Method" which uses file server or database server and. the other is "Distributed Data Management Method" using distributed database management system.   • A method to identify nonlinear elements position of a nonlinear system is presented. Nonlinear elements position can be identified by an equivalent error damping and stiffness matrices which are based on the equivalent linearization technique. The procedures of this technique are: (1) Obtain input force and system response. (2) Define error between the actual and linearized restoring forces. (3) Calculate linearized damping and stiffness coefficients to minimize the square error sum. Several examples are tested and found that these methods are very effective not only to locate the nonlinear elements position but also to identify the degree of nonlinearity qualitatively. Nonlinear type can be qualitatively identified by examining the plots of restoring force vs equivalent state values.

  • To reinforce bearing capacity-changed section or different foundation in the same building, empirical or simple tools have been used. To solve this problem, we suggest the analytical solution that can evaluate and reinforce the stability of foundation. To estimate the effect of reinforcement by replacement in different foundation, soil stiffness evaluation method taking into account the influence factor with respect to depth beneath the foundation need to be applied. In this paper, graphs and relevant formulae are suggested to calculate equivalent soil reaction coefficient showing the effect of reinforcement by crushed stone and lean concrete replacement.

  • The enhancement of the service life of damaged or cracked structures is a major issue for researchers and engineers. The hierarchic void element based on the integrals of Legendre polynomials is used to characterize the fracture behaviour of unpatched crack as well as repaired crack with bonded composite patches by computing the stress intensity factors and stress contours at the crack tip. Since the equivalent single layer approach is adopted in this study, the proposed element is necessary to represent a discontinuous crack part as a continuum body with zero stiffness. Thus the aspect ratio of this element to represent the crack should be extremely slender. The sensitivity of numerical solution with respect to energy release rate, displacement and stress has been tested to show the robustness of zero stiffness element as the aspect ratio is increased up to 2000. The stiffness derivative method and displacement extrapolation method have been applied to calculate the stress intensity factors of Mode I problem. It is noted that the proposed hierarchical void element can be one of alternatives to analyze the patched crack problems.
