Analytical Study on Equivalent Shear Modulus according to Shape of Egg-box Core (에그-박스 코어 형상 변화에 따른 등가 전단 탄성계수 수치 해석 연구)

  • The sandwich shell with Egg-box core has been used for the combustion chamber case of air breathing propulsion system. The alteration on pitch length and thickness of Egg-box core was required to be lighter and save manufacturing time and cost of combustion chamber case. In this paper, the finite element analysis method which simulated bending test was used to predict the equivalent shear modulus which affect structural stability of sandwich shell in short time. The result of FE calculation on sandwich panel with homogeneous material, H130-foam core, showed a good agreement with the values available in the reference. The equivalent shear modulus of Egg-box core according to the variation of pitch length and thickness can be obtained.

  • Vehicle is a dynamic system combined with various parameters. Dynamic characteristics of a vehicle can vary with the change of these parameters. To investigate the effect of the design parameter on vehicle handling performance the sensitivity analysis is carried out by the numerical method. The vehicle model is described by equivalent cornering stiffness that considers parameters of suspension and steering system. As the analysis results show the effect on the static and dynamic characteristics of the vehicle system, the sensitivity analysis can be used for synthesis of the design parameters to improve the vehicle handling characteristics at the design stage as well as during the vehicle test under development.

Analysis of Blast Wave of Explosives by the Scaling Law (축척법에 의한 화약 폭풍과 분석)

  • To analyze a blast effect of developed explosives, three different kinds of aluminized tastable explosives and melted cast explosive TNT were used. Conventional explosive TNT was used as a reference. Each tested explosive charge of 340mm diameter spherical type was initiated at the charge center with DXD-65(${\sim}750g$) booster and RP-87 EBW detonator. Thirteen piezo type pressure sensors were located at a range from 4 to 50m away from the charge. From the blast wave profiles, we calculated a peak blast pressure and impulse of the explosion. The calculated pressures and in pulses were converted to TNT Equivalent Weight(TEW) factor by the scaling ]aw method. The average TEW factors based on the blast pressure of TX-01, TX-02, TX-03, TX-04 were 1.298, 1.05, 1.266, 1.274 and the average TEW factors based on impulse were 1.504, 1.686, 1.640, 1.679. From the results, we concluded that TEW factors based on blast pressure and based on impulse of aluminized explosives were superior to TNT. This results are owing to the high contents of aluminum in formulations.

해상 pedestal 크레인 메인 붐의 좌굴을 고려한 상세설계에 대한 연구

  • 해상 pedestal 크레인은 각종 운송물을 선박에 싣거나 내리는 해상 운송에 필수적인 장비이다. 따라서 구조적 안전성을 가지는 크레인 설계가 요구된다. 그의 일환으로 수행된 '해상 pedestal 크레인의 설계 개선을 위한 연구'에서는 기존 크레인의 기초 설계에 대해서 구조적 안전성올 평가하여 개선 방안을 제시하였다. 또한 좌굴 안정성 향상을 위한 보강재 설계를 수행하였다. 하지만 상세설계 관점에서 미비한 점이 있어 이를 보완할 필요성이 있다. 안전성 평가를 위해 필요한 응력을 계산하기 위해 EDISON-CSD프로그램을 통해 유한요소모델 해석을 활용한 구조해석을 수행하였다. 효율적인 해석을 위해 상세설계에 필요한 부분영역을 선택하여 모델링 하였으며 전체영역에서의 해석 결과 값을 등가 힘, 등가 모멘트로 환산하여 경계조건으로 부여하였다. 보강재간의 교차점 형상이 안전성에 미치는 영향을 보기위해 stiffener와 diaphragm의 교차점 형상(반원, 정사각형, 사다리꼴)에 따라 안전성 평가를 수행하였고, 안전 여유의 유효한 차이를 보이지 않음을 확인하였다. 평가에 필요한 응력계산을 위해 또한 Diaphragm의 좌굴에 대한 영향을 고려하기 위해 설계 규격 DNV-RP-201 8장(Buckling of girders)을 분석하였고, 안전성 평가에 반영하였다. 또한 실제 현장에서 보편적으로 사용되는 angle 형상 stiffener의 치수 도출을 위해 최적설계를 수행하였고, 모든 설계 제한조건을 만족하면서 최소의 무게를 가지는 합리적인 치수를 도출하였다.

  • In this study, the critical frequency happened at system is analyzed when the motor of camera manufacturing system is working on the direction of Z axis. Configurations of modes at natural frequencies happened at two models are investigated by the study result through modal analysis. The range of natural frequency in this study system is from 100 Hz to 500 Hz. At this range, the maximum equivalent stress in case of 20 kg weight becomes 6.2335MPa and this stress is shown as 50 times more than in case of 10 kg weight. The working safety of system can be investigated through the analyses of natural frequency and harmonic response of this camera manufacturing system.

  • Rebar corrosion in cement mortar containing chloride ions was investigated by electrochemical AC impedance spectroscopy. Corrosion of mild steel bar was accelerated by an acceleration test equipment in short period. Impedance values obtained from AC-impedance method could be adapted to the proposed electrochemical equivalent circuit model and they were consistent with calculated values obtained by CNLS fitting method. The weight loss of rebar could be calculated by charge transfer resistance($R_2$) with time and it was close to real value.

A study on design and structural strength analysis for the rake of rotary screeners (로터리 제진기의 Rake에 대한 설계 및 구조강도해석에 관한 연구)

  • This study examined the mechanical design and the structural strength analysis of the rake used in a rotary screener. For the case of the mid-water part, an additional load condition was given by calculating the underwater frictional force generated by the water. For the upper-water part, the analysis was done by dividing the 500kg additional load into the left-concentrated load, center-concentrated load, and right-concentrated load depending on the location of the attached narrow material, and it was determined that all 3 additional load conditions were free from plastic deformation and were secure. The additional load that can occur from the weight of the attached narrow material was divided into three, 1,000kg, 1,300kg, and 1,500kg, and then analyzed. The results of the analysis show that in the case of 1,000kg and 1,300kg, an equivalent strength of 143.6MPa and 186.6MPa occurred, respectively. These figures are lower than the yield strength of the STS304 used in the rotary screener. Therefore, plastic deformation does not occur and is considered to be secure. In the case of 1500kg, however, the equivalent strength that occurred was 215.41MPa, which is greater than the yield strength of STS304, and was judged to be unsafe.

  • 보 및 평판의 진동에 대해서 에너지의 손실은 재료감쇠를 이용한 표면감쇠처리나 지지부에서의 감쇠처리에 의하여 증가될 수 있다. 감쇠재료를 이용한 표면감쇠처리의 예로서 보/평판 표면에 접착되는 감쇠 테이프나 코팅등은 아주 효과적임이 입증되었다. 마찬가지로 지지부 감쇠처리는 점탄성재료의 삽입에 의해서 설명될수 있다[1]. 보/평판의 감쇠에 대한 최근의 많은 연구들은 진동하고 있는 보/평판의 표면에 적용하는 감쇠 테이프 혹은 적층형태의 감쇠 처리방법에 대해서 주로 수행되었다. 일반적으로 표면감쇠처리방법은 진동감소에 아주 효과적이지만 실제 적용상에서 항상 가능한 것은 아니며, 이와 같은 경웨는 지지부 감쇠 처리방법에 의존하게 된다[2]. 감쇠특성을 갖는 점탄성재료를 실제로 적용할 때 보/평판의 유한한 길이가 점탄성재료로 지지되며 점탄성재료의 물성치와 치수에 따라서 계의 모우드 매개변수(고유진동수, 계의 손실계수 그리고 모우드형상)가 크게 달라진다. 그리고 이와 같은 계에 대해서는 지지부의 거동보다는 전체 시스템의 고유진동수와 손실계수 그리고 보 영역에서의 모우드 형상에 더 관심이 있으므로 지지부 영역을 집중매개변수(lumped parameter)로 나타내어 계를 해석할 수 있다. 일반적으로 보와 평판의 경계에서는 병진 및 회전방향의 강성 뿐만 아니라 두 강성사이에 연성효과도 동시에 발생하게 되므로 이 항을 고려하여 계를 모델링해야 한다. 본 연구에서는 우선 점탄성 재료에 의한 지지부영역의 등가 강성계수들을 구하고 경계에 강성행렬을 갖는 보의 등가시스템을 얻는다. 그리고 등가시스템의 주파수방정식으로부터 모우드 매개변수에 대한 지지부의 영향을 살펴본다. 또한 시스템이 비교적 복잡한 사각 평판의 진동에 대해서도 동강성행렬법(dynamic stiffness matrix method)을 이용하여 해석하고자 한다. 수준임이 입증되었다. 본 연구의 결과를 토대로우리나라 젊고 건강한 남성에게 적합한 무게상수는 작업자군에 대하여 25.05kg, 학생군에 대하여 20.24kg 으로 나타나 이는 미국 NIOSH 안전기준과 대체로 일치함을 발견하였다.ive structures utilized in Client/server architecture for distribution and cooperative processing of application between server and client this study presents two different data management methods under the Client/server environment; one is "Remote Data Management Method" which uses file server or database server and. the other is "Distributed Data Management Method" using distributed database management system.   • In this paper, the application of fuzzy decision to optimization of induction motor design is proposed. This method can reflect the designer's experience, view, and judgment, but also can be applied to multi-objective optimization design easily. The electromagnetic performance of the induction motor are calculated by means of the equivalent magnetic circuit method. The design method is The $D^2L$ method which is combined with fuzzy decision and optimization algorithm. As the optimization algorithm, the evolution strategy(ES) is applied. The proposed algorithm is applied to a multiobjective optimization of an induction motor design where the motor should have less weight and, at the same time, have higher efficiency and power factor at rated operating points.

  • A large-capacity three-phase system air conditioner recently includes an inverter circuit to reduce power consumption. The inverter circuit uses a DC voltage that comes from DC-link power capacitor with the function of rectifying, which means AC voltage to DC voltage using a diode. An electrolytic capacitor is generally used to satisfy the voltage ripple and current ripple conditions of a DC-link power capacitor used for rectifying. Reducing the capacitance of the capacitor decreases the size, weight, and cost of the circuit. This paper proposes an algorithm to reduce the input ripple current by combining the minimum point estimation phase locked loop (PLL) phase control and the average voltage d axis current control technique. When this algorithm was used, the input ripple current decreased by almost 90%. The current ripple of the DC-link capacitor decreased due to the decrease in input ripple current. The capacitor capacity can be reduced but the electrolytic capacitor has a heat generation problem and life-time limitations because of its large equivalent series resistance (ESR). This paper proposes a method to select a film capacitor considering the current ripple at DC-link stage instead of an electrolytic capacitor. The capacitance was selected considering the voltage limitation, RMS (Root Mean Square) current capacity, and RMS current frequency analysis. A $1680{\mu}F$ electrolytic capacitor can be reduced to a $20{\mu}F$ film capacitor, which has the benefit of size, weight and cost. These results were verified by motor operation.
