  • Recently, UCC (User Created Contents) and VoD (Video on Demand), and multimedia content are growing, IP-TV, Smart TV, OHTV (Open Hybrid TV) various services such as multi platform (Multi-platform) environment, services and QoS issues. To solve this problem, the network efficiently, and improve the quality of content is necessary for the system.   • In today's technology streaming service's QoS technologiey is an issue. On quality video streaming service there are some technical issues exist, such as buffering. This submission is "Adaptive dual-streaming system design" which is for the integrity of the data streaming that is sent to TCP and UDP for faster transmission of data to the stream. This system provides real-time incoming video encoding in bitrate of h.264-based H through a process based on the video footage of several server and client-to-TCP and UDP via Adaptive providing streaming services in a network environment. This is an unspecified number of buffers in a network environment and continued through the minimization of various streaming for playback of videos and multimedia will be utilized in the field.

  • Video transcoding techniques provide an efficient mechanism to make a video content adaptive to the capabilities of a variety of clients. However, it is hard to provide an appropriate quality-of-service(QoS) to the clients owing to heavy workload on transcoding operations. In light of this fact, this paper presents the dual transcoding method in order to guarantee QoS in streaming services by maximizing resource usage in a transcoding server equipped with both CPU and GPU computing units. The CPU and GPU computing units have different architectural features. The proposed method speculates workload of incoming transcoding requests and then schedules the requests either to the CPU or GPU accordingly. From performance evaluation, the proposed dual transcoding method achieved a speedup of 1.84 compared with traditional transcoding approach.

  • During the last decade, the multitude of advances attained in terminal computers, along with the introduction of mobile hand-held devices, and the deployment of high speed networks have led to a recent surge of interest in Quality of Service (QoS) for video applications. The main difficulty is that mobile devices experience disparate channel conditions, which results in different rates and patterns of packet loss. One way of making more efficient use of network resources in video services over wireless channels with heterogeneous characteristics to heterogeneous types of mobile device is to use a scalable video coding (SVC). An SVC divides a video stream into a base layer and a single or multiple enhancement layers. We have to ensure that the base layer of the video stream is successfully received and decoded by the subscribers, because it provides the basis for the subsequent decoding of the enhancement layer(s). At the same time, a system should be designed so that the enhancement layer(s) can be successfully decoded by as many users as possible, so that the average QoS is as high as possible. To accommodate these characteristics, we propose an efficient transmission scheme which incorporates SVC-aware dual-channel repetition to improve the perceived quality of services. We repeat the base-layer data over two channels, with different characteristics, to exploit transmission diversity. On the other hand, those channels are utilized to increase the data rate of enhancement layer data. This arrangement reduces service disruption under poor channel conditions by protecting the data that is more important to video decoding. Simulations show that our scheme safeguards the important packets and improves perceived video quality at a mobile device.
