Acquired hypohidrosis is a rare condition of unknown pathogenesis, while idiopathic cholinergic urticaria is relatively common. We report the case of a 18-year-old male with idiopathic cholinergic urticaria and acquired hypohidrosis. He presented with an intermittent pruritic eruption precipitated by mild activity, such as mild exercise or laughing, for last 4 years. He was diagnosed with cholinergic urticaria associated acquired hypohidrosis, successfully treated by herbal medicine applied Gejimahwanggakban-tang(桂枝麻黃各半湯).

Objective : This study was performed to prove the effect of the oriental medical treatments on urticaria and angioedema caused from serum sickness reaction by bee venom. Method : We treated one case of urticaria and angioedema with oriental medical treatments such as 8 constitution acupuncture, herbal medicine, venesection therapy and facial pack therapy. We took pictures through the treatment to evaluate the improvement. Six items, itching, burning sensation, pain, wheal, redness, edema were used to diagnose urticaria and angioedema. Result & Conclusion : After treatments the urticaria and angioedema were improved. The symptom of itching, heating, pain, wheal, redness of whole body and facial edema disappeared.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the effectiveness of Gagamsunbangpaedoktang on 30 Chronic Urticaria patients. Methods : Total 30 chronic urticaria patients, who has visited korean medical clinic from 1st July 2014 to 29th February 2016 were analyzed by using Urticaria Activity Socre(UAS). Subanalysis of UAS was done according to disease period. Results & Conclusions : UAS score was improved as a result of Gagamsunbangpaedoktang treatment. Gagamsunbangpaedoktang can be effective treatment for Chronic Urticaria.

Cold Urticaria and Cholinergic Urticaria are considered to be distinct disorders in which mediator release and hives can be induced by different stimulti. While neither cold Urticaria nor cholinergic Urticaria is rare, it is unusual to see both disorders occurring in the same patient. 최근 들어 알레르기 질환이 급증하고 있다. 국내 알레르기 환자 수는 6백만 명 이상이며 서구화된 생활환경, 공해, 각종 화학물질 사용의 증가로 인해 환자는 계속 증가 추세이다. 현재 추정되는 환자수 만도 전 인구의 15~20%선, 우리 나라 성인 중 약 10%, 어린이는 약 20%에서 나타나고 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. 대표적인 알레르기 질환은 꽃가루에 의한 화분증과 집먼지 진드기, 동물의 털 등이 주원인인 알레르기성 비염.결막염.천식.피부염 등이 있다. 그러나 알레르기 질환은 주위에서 흔히 접하면서도 일반인들에게 막연히 알려져 있고, 단지 완치가 힘들어 난치병 정도로만 인식되어 있다. 알레르기 질환 보통 대부분의 사람에게 있어서는 아무런 문제도 일으키지 않는 물질이 어떤 사람에게만 두드러기, 비염, 천식 등 이상과민반응을 일으키는 것을 말한다. 알레르기도 우리 몸 속에서 일어나는 면역반응의 한 종류지만 몸에 유해한 반응을 말하며 요즘 들어서는 과민성이란 의미로 사용된다.

Objective : Cold Urticaria is a symptom of edema and pruritus that appear when a patient is exposed to the coldness. The effect of Bee-venom Acpuncture Therapy is antiinflammatory, pain-killing, and blood circulation promotion. The aim of this study is to report the effect of Bee-venom Acpuncture Therapy to Cold Urticaria. Methods : The Cold Urticaria patients were treated with Bee-venom Acpuncture Therapy. Result and Conclusion : Edema and Pruritus of Cold Urticaria patient improved after Bee-venom Acpuncture Therapy.

Urticaria is a common disease and a well known reaction pattern of the skin charaterized by erythema or wheals and edema, that is the results of various cause. Cold urticaria has symptom on condition that patient feeles cold or touches ice and cold water. These symptoms have a tendency to be aggravated in the winter. We report two cases of cold urticaria. The patients are 38-year-old woman and 30-year-old woman with two years and four years history of recurrent urticaria. The patients showed cold urticaria We have experienced good improventment to be treated with acupuncture and herbal medicine by the Oriental Medicines.

Objects : The aim of this study is to introduce latest research trend of cholinergic urticaria and consider results in view of Korean medicine.Methods : We investigate research papers, Chinese and Korean medicinal papers about Cholinergic Urticaria through Pubmed, CNKI(China National Knowledge Infrastructure) and OASIS(Oriental Medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System).Results : The pathogenesis of cholinergic urticaria is supposed to correlate with sweating, considering that many cholinergic urticaria patients are complicated with anhidrosis or hypohidrosis and have sweat hypersensitivity. And on the basis of those outcomes, diverse therapies on cholinergic urticaria are conducted recently.Conclusion : Korean medicinal approaches and treatment on cholinergic urticaria can be significant, accounting that sweating plays a important role in pathogenesis of cholinergic urticaria.

Objectives : This study was carried out to investigate the effect of Gyejiyiwolbiyil-tang on Urticaria. Methods : We treated 14 Urticaria patients. We evaluated severity of welts, pruritus, heat and redness by using the Visual Analogue Scale(VAS). Results : After the treatments, all patients objective score of urticara was remarkably decreased. Conclusions : This study suggests that Gyejiyiwolbiyil-tang is effective against acute and chronic urticaria.

A new species of Caprellidae, Ca;rella multitberculum collected from 3 localities in the coast of the East Sea in Korea, is described and illustrated. This new species is very close to Caprella soyo Arimoto, 1934 from Japan, but is distinguished from it by having the more numerous small tubercles on body surface, the shorter flagellum of antenna 1 and the smaller appendages of abdomen. Moreover, the shape of propodus of gnathopod 2 reveals several prominent differences between the two.
