Dynamic Address Interworking Scheme between Wireless Sensor Network and Internet Based on IPv4/IPv6 (센서 네트워크와 인터넷(IPv4/IPv6)과의 동적 주소 연동 방안)

  • As a promising technology that enables ubiquitous computing and leads IT(information Technology) industries of next generation, the exciting new field of sensor networks is attracting so much attention and considered to be the one of the hottest research topics these days. From now on, all the each node, forming a network, and even the sensor network itself will interact with the generic network and evolve dynamically according to the change of environment with the perpetual creation and extinction. In this paper, we purpose the dynamic address interworking scheme for interactive networking between sensor network and Internet(IPv6). Proposed scheme is enable to interworking dynamically between sensor network address scheme based on Zigbee and Internet address scheme based on IP. Additionally, we implement the proposed address interworking scheme using Berkeley TinyOS, mica motes, and IP protocol. And, we verify the proposed scheme by the interconnection experimental between wireless sensor networks and Internet based on IPv4/IPv6.

  • 이동성 지원 프로토콜에서 사용자의 이동에 따른 위치 등록 부담을 줄이려는 노력으로 IP 페이징에 대한 관심이 커지고 있다. IETF(Internet Engineering Task Force)에서는 IP 페이징 프로토콜을 개발하기로 결정하여 seamoby 워킹그룹에서 이를 담당하도록 하고 HAWAII와 Cellular IP에서의 몇몇 IP 페이징 프로토콜이 제안되었다. 그러나 이는 미리 정의된 페이징 영역을 사용하기 때문에 호스트에 최적화된 페이징 영역을 만들기 어렵다. 본 논문은 페이징 영역을 결정하는데 중요한 요소인 크기와 모양을 설정하기 위하여 각 이동 호스트가 자신의 이동을 캐쉬하고 셀간 이동 횟수가 많이 발생하는 지역에서는 캐쉬된 내용에 근거하여 자신의 페이징 영역을 설정한다. 또한 이동 호스트의 방문이 거의 일어나지 않은 지역은 네트워크에 의해 설정된 페이징 영역을 적용하여 호스트에 의한 페이징 영역과 이중모드로 동작한다.

  • 현재 인터넷에서 사용되고 있는 IP주소는 호스트 위치와 신원을 동시에 식별할 수 있도록 설계되어 있다. 이러한 설계 패러다임은 호스트가 고정된 위치에서 하나의 IP주소를 갖는 기존의 인터넷 환경에 적응적이다. 하지만 차세대 인터넷에서는 호스트 이동성, 멀티호밍, 보안등이 중요한 핵심서비스로 부각되고 있다. 이러한 환경에서는 위치를 나타내는 IP주소가 동적으로 변경되고, 하나의 호스트에 두개 이상의 IP주소가 할당되고, 호스트 보안의 강화를 요구하는 새로운 환경이다. 따라서 현재의 IP주소가 호스트 위치와 신원을 동시에 나타내는 설계 패러다임으로는 새로운 차세대 인터넷 환경을 원활하게 지원할 수 없다. 본 논문에서는 차세대 인터넷 환경에서 부각되고 있는 호스트 이동성(Mobility), 멀티호밍(Multi-Homing), 보안등의 서비스를 원활하게 지원할 수 있는 하나의 새로운 기술로 HIP(Host Identity Protocol)을 소개하였다. HIP은 2004년 IETF hip WG가 결성되어 현재 표준화가 진행 중인 차세대 인터넷 기술이다. 기본 아이디어는 호스트 신원과 위치정보를 분리하여 차세대 인터넷 환경에 적응적인 프로토콜을 새롭게 재구성한 것이다.

IP Paging with an Adaptive Active Timer in Mobile IPv6 (Mobile IPv6상에서 적응적 액티브 타이머를 고려한 IP 페이징)

  • Paging extensions for Mobile IP was proposed to avoid unnecessary registration signaling overhead of Mobile IP. In order to support the paging function in Mobile IP, the slates of a mobile node arc divided into active on, active off, idle. The active on state means when any incoming or outgoing data session arrives to a mobile node. After data session is completed, the state of the motile node is changed into active off from active on. At this moment, the active timer starts to be operated. If the active timer expires, the mobile node moves to idle state. If a mobile node has very frequently data sessions at the same cell, the mobile node is better to move slowly into idle state. The other way, if the mobile node very frequently moves into new cell area and receives or sends little data, the mobile node is better to move earlier into idle state. In this raper, the active timer is adaptively set by the mobile nodes traffic and mobility characteristics and the paging scheme using this active timer is proposed to reduce the location registration cost.

  • 3G Long Term Evolution, which aims for various mobile multimedia service provision by enhanced wireless interface, proposes VoIP-based voice service through a Packet Switching (PS) domain. As delay and loss-sensitive VoIP traffic flows through the PS domain, more challenging technical difficulties are expected than in Circuit Switching (CS) domain based VoIP services. Moreover, since 3G LTE, which adopts the OFDM as its physical layer, introduces Physical Resource Block (PRB) as a unit for transmission resources, new types of resource management schemes are needed. This paper proposes a PRB scheduling algorithm of MAC layer for VoIP service in 3G LTE and shows the simulation results. The proposed algorithm has two key parts; dynamic activation of VoIP priority mode to satisfy VoIP QoS requirements and adaptive adjustment of the priority mode duration in order to minimize the degradation of resource utilization.

  • Tactical communication environment evolving for the purpose of providing services such as voice, video and text based on ALL-IP. Therefore, To be able to guarantee QoS level which meets the required level of subscriber for these services in the constrained tactical communication infrastructure, it is required to take the characteristics such as wireless transmission link, mobility of troops or personal into service quality scheme. In this paper, to support differentiated QoS for each individual or mission in the tactical communication environment, we presents a technique that can provide same QoS level which was served originally regardless of the situation to user's move through dynamically determining the QoS level to be provided at the time of the service request on VoIP-Switch.

  • The research related to the mobility support in the Internet can he classified into two fields. One is Macro mobility and the other is Micro mobility In case of \lacro Mobility, the standard, RFC 2002 by IETF is getting focused. But for Micro mobility, a variety of strategies have been discussed. In this paper. we introduce the concept of an LA and propose the strategy that makes it possible for the LA to fully concern frequent local handoff without using the HA. Therefore we can limit the longest handoH delay to a certain degree regardless of the distance between the MN and the HA of the MN. For the registration cost and the packet drop probability due to the registration delay, we prove the performance enhancement of the existing Mobile IP in case that we apply the concept of the LA to existing Mobile IP.

  • Recently, the interest in optical network with multifiber link is continuing to rise since the network traffic has been growing exponentially. However, growing traffic in network leads to increasing the energy consumption of the network equipment. In this paper, we propose a dynamic routing and wavelength assignment (RWA) algorithm based on V-like cost function and layered graph to improve energy efficiency in IP over WDM network with multifiber link. The V-like cost function is used to decide the fiber cost according to the number of used wavelengths. The layered graph with multifiber link is used to select the energy efficient route and wavelength. The proposed RWA algorithm is compared and analyzed with conventional algorithm in view of average power consumption and blocking probability through OPNET modeler.

  • In maritime logistics, a large number of containers are transported to the destination through a port in the form of composite transportation such as ships, trucks, and railways. Logistics parties such as shipping companies and consignors prefer having the real-time information on the entry and exit of the logistics hubs of the freight. Particularly, a port is an important space that connects the maritime and inland areas. Hence, the interest about freight of the logistics party in port is high. This study describes tracking the location of freight by using GPS dynamically based on area type rather than point type. This presents dynamic information of location tracking when the freight enters, exits from, and passes through a certain port area. I suggest a real-time location of the container cargos tracking algorithm in port-entry, port-exit, and port inside using Active IP-RFID technology based on the location tracking algorithm of previous research.

  • SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) 기반의 VoIP(Voice over IP) 시스템의 구성 요소에서 레지스트라(Registrar)는 사용자들의 Registration 정보들을 저장 및 관리하는 역할을 한다. 네트워크상에서 이 Registration 상태는 관리자의 정책 등에 따라 동적으로 변화하게 되므로 사용자는 변경는 상태 정보를 알 필요성이 생긴다. Registration Event Package는 UA(User Agent)가 Subscriber로서 Registration 상태의 변경에 대한 통지를 요청할 수 있고 알림(Notification)을 통해 얻을 수 있는 매커니즘를 제공한다. 본 논문에서는 SIP 환경에서 이러한 Registration Event Package를 구현하여 사용자가 동적으로 변화되는 Registration 상태 정보를 알림을 통해 받을 수 있도록 하였다.
