Development of Magnetic Bearing Controller with High Magnetic Levitation Accuracy (높은 자기부상 정밀도를 갖는 자기베어링 제어기 개발)

  • Magnetic bearings are widely used in vacuum and clean environments or in high-precision applications, because they have no mechanical friction and have stable dynamic characteristics. Despite the aforementioned advantages of magnetic bearings, their applications are generally limited due to the controller complexity. In this paper, we proposed a reduced-complexity digital controller for magnetic bearings. In addition, we analyzed and solved the problems, such as quantization errors in the analog-to-digital conversion and integral windup in a feedback controller, which are known as the main causes of performance degradation. Experiments showed that the proposed digital controller achieves a target magnetic levitation accuracy.

Study on the Lubricity Characteristics of Bio-heavy Oil for Power Generation by Various feedstocks (다양한 원료에 따른 발전용 바이오중유의 윤활 특성 연구)

  • Bio-heavy oil for power generation is a product made by mixing animal fat, vegetable oil and fatty acid methyl ester or its residues and is being used as steam heavy fuel(B-C) for power generation in Korea. However, if the fuel supply system of the fuel pump, the flow pump, the injector, etc., which is transferred to the boiler of the generator due to the composition of the raw material of the bio-heavy oi, causes abrasive wear, it can cause serious damage. Therefore, this study evaluates the fuel characteristics and lubricity properties of various raw materials of bio-heavy oil for power generation, and suggests fuel composition of biofuel for power generation to reduce frictional wear of generator. The average value of lubricity (HFRR abrasion) for bio-heavy oil feedstocks for power generation is $137{\mu}m$, and it varies from $60{\mu}m$ to $214{\mu}m$ depending on the raw materials. The order of lubricity is Oleo pitch> BD pitch> CNSL> Animal fat> RBDPO> PAO> Dark oil> Food waste oil. The average lubricity for the five bio-heavy oil samples is $151{\mu}m$ and the distribution is $101{\mu}m$ to $185{\mu}m$. The order of lubricity is Fuel 1> Fuel 3> Fuel 4> Fuel 2> Fuel 5. Bio-heavy oil samples (average $151{\mu}m$) show lower lubricity than heavy oil C ($128{\mu}m$). It is believed that bio-heavy oil for power generation is composed of fatty acid material, which is lower in paraffin and aromatics content than heavy oil(B-C) and has a low viscosity and high acid value, resulting in inhibition of the formation of lubricating film by acidic component. Therefore, in order to reduce friction and abrasion, it is expected to increase the lubrication of fuel when it contains more than 60% Oleo pitch and BD pitch as raw materials of bio-heavy oil for power generation.

  • 자율주행 트랙터를 위한 트랙터 조향제어는 일반적으로 전자모터를 이용한 EPS(Electric Power Steering) 시스템을 스티어링 휠에 연결하여 회전변위를 변경하고 그 결과 오비트롤(Orbitrol) 밸브의 토출유량을 바꾸고 호스로 연결된 조향실린더의 변위를 조절하여 최종적으로 전방 타이어의 방향각을 변경하면서 이루어진다. 이러한 조향방식은 시스템 구조상 조향실린더와 오비트롤 밸브가 상대적으로 멀리 떨어져 있으며, 밸브 특성상 약 ${\pm}5^{\circ}$의 오버랩이 포함되어 있다. 또한, EPS의 전자모터는 관성력, 마찰, 백래시 등의 영향을 가진다. 이와 같은 복합적인 영향은 조향 응답을 느리게 만들어 상대적으로 빠른 속도에서 주행에서 추종성능이 떨어지는 문제가 발생한다. 본 연구에서는 자율주행 트랙터의 조향성능 개선 연구의 일환으로 조향 HILS 시뮬레이터를 설계제작하여 조향 성능의 요인을 실험적으로 구명하고자 하였으며 이를 바탕으로 조향 시스템의 설계개선 방안을 수립하고자 하였다. 시뮬레이터는 동양물산 80 마력급 TX803 트랙터에 사용되는 오픈센터방식의 오비트롤 유압회로 시스템을 기어펌프가 장착된 AC모터로 구동되게 구성하였으며, 유량은 모터의 주파수를 조절 회전속도를 조절 변경하였다. 추가적으로 EPS와 오비트롤 조합의 조향성능을 비교 및 개선하기 위해 비례제어밸브(PVG 32, Danfoss)를 추가 장착하였다. 실제 트랙터 조향 시 나타나는 마찰저항을 모사하기 위해 부하 실린더를 구성하였으며, 조향 실린더의 부하의 크기는 부하 실린더를 폐회로를 구성하고 유량비례제어밸브를 이용한 유로의 개구량 조절을 통해 부하의 크기를 약 4000 N 까지 증가시킬 수 있도록 하였다. EPS와 비례제어밸브를 제어하기 위해 CANoe 8.0 소프트웨어를 이용하여 CAN통신 기반 가상 조향ECU를 구성하였으며 오비트롤의 기본 성능을 확인하기 위해 조향휠에 따른 실린더 동특성 및 계단 추종성능을 비례제어밸브와 비교하였다. 오비트롤 밸브는 약 ${\pm}5^{\circ}$이상 동작 시 실린더 압력이 상승하기 시작하였으며, 이후 약 ${\pm}10^{\circ}$이상 동작 시 조향실린더가 동작하기 시작하였다. 계단 추종성능실험에서는 비례제어밸브가 약 2배 이상의 응답개선을 나타냈다. 자율주행 경로추종 성능을 향상시키기 위해서는 순간적인 출력밀도가 높은 비례제어밸브를 통해 응답개선이 필요한 것으로 나타났다.

Developing a Model to Predict Road Surface Temperature using a Heat-Balance Method, Taking into Traffic Volume (교통량을 고려한 열수지법에 의한 노면온도 예측모형의 구축)

  • In this study, to improve effectiveness of road management services and the safety of the road in winter, road surface temperature prediction model was developed. We have utilized the existing input data of meteorological data and additional traffic data. This Road surface temperature prediction model was utilizing a Heat-Balance Method additionally considering amount of traffic that produce heat radiation by vehicle-tire friction. This improved model was compared to the based model to check into influence of traffic affecting the road surface temperature. There were verified by comparing the real observed road surface temperature of the third Gyeong-In highway and road surface temperature from the two models. As a result, the error of real observed and the predicted value (RMSE) was found to average $1.97^{\circ}C$. Observed road surface temperature was dramatically affected by the sunlight from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. and degree of influence decreases after that. The predictive value of the model is lower than the observed value in the afternoon, and higher at night. These results appear due to the shielding of solar radiation caused by the vehicle in the afternoon and at night, the vehicle appeared to cause thermal heat supply.

Study on Friction Welding of Copper to Aluminium for Developing Electrical Sleeve (전력용 슬리브 개발을 위한 동과 알루미늄의 마찰용접에 관한 연구)

  • A study on optimizing the friction welding of copper(C1100) to aluminium(A1050) for developing the electrical sleeve was experimentally carried out and also on real-time nondestructive evaluation of the friction weld quality (strength) was accomplished by acoustic emission technique. The results obtained are summarized as the following ; 1) The heating upset $U_1$(mm) or total upset U(mm) tends to increase according to the increase of heating time $t_1$(sec). The relations between $U_1$ and $t_1$ or U and $t_1$are computed as follows when n=2000rpm, $P_1$=4, $P_2$=8kgf/$mm^2$, and $t_2$=6sec. U=1.6$e^{0.39t_1}$ $U_1$=3.65$e^{0.25t_1}$. 2) It was notified that the proper welding conditions by considering on both strength with more than 100% joint effieciency and toughness are heating time of 1.5-2.25 sec under n=200rpm, $P_1$=4, $P_2$=8kgf/$mm^2$, $t_2$=6sec. 3) It was confirmed that both AE total counts(N, counts) and the weld tensile strength (${\sigma}$, kgf/$mm^2$) of the welded joints increase as the increase of heating time, respectively, the relations between N and $t_1$, ${\sigma}$ and $t_1$ are computed from data points by regression analysis using the least square method as follows in case of the above proper condition ; N=50108+23917(ln $t_1$)${\sigma}$$=11.85+2.06(ln $t_1$). 4) Both empirical and calcularated equations of relationship between .sigma. and N are very coincident with a high reliability, as the following in case of the above proper welding condition ; Calculated : ${\sigma}$=0.00008N+7.5 Empirical :${\sigma}$= $8.17e^{0.0000072N}$. 5) It was confirmed that the real-time nondestructive weld strength evaluation for friction welding of copper(C1100) to aluminium(A1050) could be possible by acoustic emission technique.

  • Korean high speed train(HSR-350x) has adopted a combined electrical and mechanical(friction) braking system. Brake blending control unit(BBCU) controls each brake system to fulfill the required brake performances such as braking distance, deceleration and jerk. Also the braking system should be designed considering the economical management, such as effective use of generated braking energy and the minimum wear of friction materials(a pad and a brake shoe). In this paper, we establish the disc braking force pattern that reduces the wear of pad in the disc braking system by minimizing the variance of the instantaneous disk baking energy during braking time, and compare the wear mass of pad between the conventional disc braking force pattern and the established results.

Bearing Behavior Characteristics of Pressure Penetrating Steel Pipe Pile Under Compression Load (압축하중을 받는 압입강관말뚝의 지지거동 특성)

  • The pressure penetrating steel pipe pile method which can be constructed in a narrow space using the hydraulic jack is used on the foundation reinforcement, extension of the structure and basement, restoration of the differential settlement etc.. This method is possible to construct in narrow areas and low story height, the non-noise and non-vibration works, and it is possible for the construction site to be clean without slime. And it is possible to confirm the bearing capacity of pile due to penetrating the pile with the compression load of hydraulic jack. In this study, the static load test with the load-transfer test was carried out to investigate the bearing behavior characteristics of the pressure penetrating steel pipe pile. Four series of static load test were executed to investigate the variation of bearing behavior of the pressure penetrating steel pipe pile. As a result of these tests, the allowable load of the pressure penetrating steel pipe was evaluated more than 637 kN, and the shaft resistance corresponding to 81~86% of each applied load was mobilized with only a small portion of the base resistance acting. And it was also evaluated that the unit skin friction was mobilized to maximum value after two months.

Enough considering the ground friction forces and ensure the stability of the mobile robot system and the disturbance compensation, etc. In this case, the controller design will be possible. In addition, the nonlinear model, the dynamic characteristics of the mobile robot control method of adaptive fuzzy control techniques in the design that you want to fully reflect Non-holonomic system of mobile robots and solve sleep problems, and will be useful enough, it was verified through computer simulations.

  • 영산강 하구언 방조제의 건설로 인한 항만 및 이의 인접해역 해면의 변화는 예상한 바 있으며 실제 여러개소에서 월 2회정도의 주기로 목포 구항부근 상업지역에서 해면상승에 따라 주기적으로 침수되는 현상이 나타나고 있다 목포항의 영산강 하구언 방조제 조성으로 인한 조류성분중 최고기록을 가진 수로에서는 6kts 정도로 감소된 것으로 보고되고 있으나 주위자연환경 변화에 따른 수면 상승 및 해수면의 주기적인 변화 등에 대한 상세한 언급 및 깊이 있는 분석은 회피되어왔다. 수자원의 효율적관리를 위해 하구언 방조제는 이미 건설되었고 앞으로 대규모의 항만개발과 대불산업단지조성을 위해 추가 3개의 만입해안해역에 댐으로 해역을 막아 매립공사를 추진하고 있다 그러나 이 지역에 대한 분석은 타당성의 여부만을 강조한 상업적 용역이 이루어지고 있고 장래 개발에 대해 학술적이고 실질적인 문제점 추출과 해결방아네 대해서는 무시하거나 경시한 바가 많다 더구나 태풍 저기압 등과 같은 자연재해를 고려한 분석은 시도되지 못하고 있다 따라서 개발전후의 현상에 대한 상세한 자료 및 현장 조사와 극한 상태를 고려하여 개발에 따른 수위상승 부진동, 조류 수질등 이해역의 변화요소를 수집하고 분석하며 과학적 접근방법에 기초를 둔 수치모델의 실험을 포함하여 현장관측 및 측정자료를 검증하는 것이 필수적이라고 사료되어 종합분석의 한단계로 여기서는 하구언 및 하구간척(Land Reclamatic of Estuary barren)으로 해역축소에 따른 해면변화의 실제현상을 조사하여 정리하고 이를 수치모델을 통해 시뮬레이션하여 보았다 이는 종합개발의 좋은 기초자료로 이용됨은 물론이로 이지역의 개발에 기여할 것으로본다.적절하게 가정된 지반의 응력-변형률 관계와 간극수압특성에 의하여 고려되었다. 그 결과 응력 및 변위가 심하게 발생하는 지역은 황색 점토층이었으며 이로부터 황색 점토층에서 부터 파괴면이 생성되어 다른 지역으로 전파되었음을 유추할 수 있었다.form trap with 2.88[eV] deep of injected space charge from the chathode in the crystaline regions.   • A new theoretical derailment coefficient model of wheel-climb derailment is proposed to consider the influence of wheel unloading. The derailment coefficient model is based on the theoretical derailment model of a wheelset that was developed to predict the derailment induced by train collisions. Presently, in domestic derailment regulations, a derailment coefficient of 0.8 is allowable using Nadal's formula, which is for a flange angle of $60^{\circ}$ and a friction coefficient of 0.3. However, theoretical studies focusing on different flange angles to justify the derailment coefficient of 0.8 have not been conducted. Therefore, this study theoretically explains a derailment coefficient of 0.8 using the proposed derailment coefficient model. Furthermore, wheel unloading of up to 50% is accepted without a clear basis. Accordingly, the correlation between a wheel unloading of 50% and a derailment coefficient of 0.8 is confirmed by using the proposed derailment coefficient model. Finally, the validity of the proposed derailment coefficient model is demonstrated through dynamic simulations.
