A Study on the Channel Normalized Pitch Synchronous Cepstrum for Speaker Recognition (채널에 강인한 화자 인식을 위한 채널 정규화 피치 동기 켑스트럼에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, a contort- and speaker-dependent cepstrum extraction method and a channel normalization method for minimizing the loss of speaker characteristics in the cepstrum were proposed for a robust speaker recognition system over the channel. The proposed extraction method creates a cepstrum based on the pitch synchronous analysis using the inherent pitch of the speaker. Therefore, the cepstrum called the 〃pitch synchronous cepstrum〃 (PSC) represents the impulse response of the vocal tract more accurately in voiced speech. And the PSC can compensate for channel distortion because the pitch is more robust in a channel environment than the spectrum of speech. And the proposed channel normalization method, the 〃formant-broadened pitch synchronous CMS〃 (FBPSCMS), applies the Formant-Broadened CMS to the PSC and improves the accuracy of the intraframe processing. We compared the text-independent closed-set speaker identification on 56 females and 112 males using TIMIT and NTIMIT database, respectively. The results show that pitch synchronous km improves the error reduction rate by up to 7.7% in comparison with conventional short-time cepstrum and the error rates of the FBPSCMS are more stable and lower than those of pole-filtered CMS.

The Synchronous Control System Design of a Movable Weir using Coupling Structure (커플링구조를 이용한 가동위어의 동기제어시스템 설계)

  • The weir to regulate water level in a tide generation tank is above and below carried by two electric cylinders which are mounted on right and left of weir itself. In this case, a movement difference between right and left cylinder causes unbalance of weir and friction between weir and guide. And then, the weir will not be sent to target point. In this study, a synchronous control system is developed to take accurate and quick equilibrium of the weir. The control system based on cross coupled structure consists of two I-PD controllers and a lead compensator. Each of the I-PD controllers is designed in order that the electric cylinder may exactly follow the reference signal without overshoot and input saturation. And the lead compensator is designed to achieve stable and accurate synchronization. Finally, the simulation result shows that the designed synchronous control system is effective for elimination of synchronous error.

A Distributed Time Synchronization Technique for OFDMA-based Wireless Mesh Communication Systems Using Bio-inspired Algorithm (생체모방 알고리즘을 이용한 OFDMA 무선 메쉬 통신시스템의 분산 시간 동기화 기법 연구)

  • In this paper, we propose a distributed time synchronization technique for OFDMA- based wireless mesh communication systems. The proposed technique employs the bio-inspired algorithm for self-time synchronization in the physical layer. To achieve the network synchronicity, the proposed technique updates the transmission time and the FFT window using the TDoA information of received signals from the neighbor nodes. The proposed technique can achieve fast self-synchronization among nodes with a simple algorithm, without the need of a centralized controller. The performance of the proposed time synchronization technique is evaluated by simulation in terms of convergence speed and convergence probability.

  • GPS(Global Positioning System)is a satellite-based navigation system that we can survey where we are, anywhere and anytime. In this paper, delay-lock loop of the receiver which detects the navigation data is theoretically analyzed, and designed using the digital logic circuit. Also logic operations for the synchronization are analyzed. The designed system consists of the correlator which correlates the received C/A code and the generated C/A code in the receiver, the C/A code generator which generates C/A code of selected satellite, and the direct digital clock syntheizer which generates the clock of the C/A code generator to control the C/A code phase and clock rate. From the analyses results of the proposed digital delay-lock loop system, the system has the detection propertied over 90% when its input signal power is above-113.98dB. The influence of input signal variation of digital delay loop, which is the input of A/D converter, is investigated and the performance is analyzed with the variation of threshold level via the computer simulation. The logic simulation results show that the designed system detects precisely the GPS navigation data.

  • Federated Learning is divided into synchronous federated learning and asynchronous federated learning. Asynchronous federated learning has a time advantage over synchronous federated learning, but asynchronous federated learning still has some challenges to obtain better performance. In particular, preventing performance degradation in non-IID training datasets, selecting appropriate clients, and managing stale gradient information are important for improving model performance. In this paper, we deal with K-asynchronous federated learning by using non-IID datasets. In addition, unlike traditional method using static K, we proposed an algorithm that adaptively adjusts K and we can reduce the learning time. Additionally, the we show that model performance is improved by using stale gradient handling method. Finally, we use a method of judging model performance to obtain strong model stability. Experiment results show that overall algorithm can obtain advantages of reducing training time, improving model accuracy, and improving model stability.

An Efficient symbol Synchronization Scheme with an Interpolator for Receiving in OFDM (OFDM 방식의 수신기를 위한 보간기의 효율적인 심볼 동기방법의 성능분석)

  • In this paper, we propose a new symbol time synchronization scheme suitable for the OFDM system with an interpolator. The proposed performs the following three steps. In the first step, the coarse symbol time synchronization is achieved by continuously measuring the average power of the received envelope signal. Based on this average power, the detection possibility for the symbol time synchronization is determined. If the signal is sufficient for synchronization, we next perform a relatively accurate symbol time synchronization by measuring the correlation a short training signal and the received envelope signal. Finally, an additional frequency synchronization is performed with a long training signal to correct symbol synchronization errors caused by the phase rotation. From the simulation results, one can see that the proposed synchronization scheme provides a good synchronization performance over frequency selective channels.

  • 전력 계통현상 분석장치(DFR)에서 시각동기에 대한 중요성이 부각됨에 따라 장치의 시각동기가 중요하게 대두되고 있다. 본 연구내용에서 보여주고자 하는 DFR TimeSync Simulator는 GPS 수신기로부터 IRIG-B 신호와 1PPS 신호를 수신하여 계통현상 분석장치의 사고발생 이벤트를 위한 절대시각을 제공하는 장치이다. 이 절대시각은 계통현상 분석장치의 정밀성 및 품질을 검증하는데 적용한다. 그리고 개발된 Simulator가 정확한 1PPS 신호를 산출해 내는지를 검증하기 위해 GPS 수신기의 1PPS 신호와 Simulator에서 출력되는 1PPS 신호의 파형을 비교 실험하여 정확도 및 신뢰성을 확인하였다.

  • 웹 서비스를 기반으로 이루어진 MOOC(Massive Open Online Course)는 대규모 학습자에게 공개된 온라인 교육이다. MOOC는 교수와 학습자 사이 커뮤니티를 통해 상호 참여적으로 수업을 진행한다. 그러나 무료로 강의를 들을 수 있고 성적을 내지 않기 때문에 학습자들에게 큰 동기 부여가 되지 않아 등록하는 학습자는 많지만 수료하는 학습자는 현저히 적게 나타났다. 본 논문은 이러한 문제 해결 방안 마련을 위해 KDD Cup 2015에서 제공한 MOOC 데이터를 통해 중도 포기와 관련된 변수들을 선정하였으며, Decision Tree, KNN, Logistic Regression, Naive Bayesian, SVM, Neural Network인 6가지 머신 러닝 알고리즘을 통해 데이터 예측의 정확률을 확인하였다. 그 결과 Naive Bayesian이 89.3%로 가장 높은 정확률을 보였다. 본 연구를 통해 중도포기를 정확히 예측하며, 향후 학습자들에게 특정 동기부여의 효과로 학습을 수료하는 결과를 기대할 수 있다.

  • 본 논문은 gate-level timed circuits의 자동 합성과 검증에 대한 것으로, 동기 회 로는 디자인을 최적화하기 위해 합성 절차가 사용된 동안 설계서에 명시된 시간 정보에 속 한 비동기 회로의 일부로서 이 시스템은 열거된 일반적인 회로 작용과 시간의 요구 조건에 대해 설계를 해석한다. 이 설계는 영향을 미치는 상태 공간을 구하기 위해 정확하고 효과적 인 시간 해석 알고리즘을 사용해 해석할 수 있는 그래픽 표현으로 자동적으로 변환된다. 이 상태공간으로부터 합성 절차는 standard-cells과 gate-arrays와 같은 반 주문형 반도체로 매핑을 용이하게 하기 위해 기본 게이트만을 사용해 어려움을 해결하는 시간에 대한 회로 유도된다.

  • 본 연구에서는 M2M(Machine to machine: 사물 지능 통신) 기반의 URL 동기화 기능을 갖는 멀티미디어 공동작업 환경에서 웹 관련 응용 소프트웨어와 미디어 등의 프로세스(process) 요소들에 대한 오류를 미리 감지하고 오류를 공유하여 웹 멀티미디어 세션에 참여한 참여자 간의 효율적인 의사소통과 상호 협력 환경의 향상을 제공한다. M2M 기반의 오류 동기화 시스템을 이용하여 신속하고 정확하게 오류를 전달하여서 복구하는데 빠르게 대처할 수 있는 시스템을 제안한다.
