An Analysis of Structural Equation Model on the Scientific Problem Finding Ability of the Scientifically Gifted Based on Science Related Attitude, Motivation, and Self-regulation Learning Strategy (과학영재의 과학문제발견력 관련변인에 대한 구조방정식모형 분석: 과학관련태도와 동기 및 자기조절 학습전략을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the Structural Equation Model (SEM) of scientific problem finding ability based on science related attitude, motivation and self-regulation learning strategy of the gifted in science. A total of 153 scientifically gifted students were selected from a university-based Sifted education center The instruments used for the study were Test of Science-Related Attitudes, Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ), and Science Problem Finding Test. In order to examine Structural Equation Model (SEM) of scientific problem finding ability, we assumed scientific problem finding model related to science inquiry, model I (domain specific), and scientific problem finding model related to creativity, model II (domain general) The results of this research are as follows. First, the correlations between science related attitudes and MSLQ were significant; motivation and self-regulated learning strategy as sub factors were positively correlated to science related attitudes. Only scientific attitude as a sub factor of science related attitudes was significantly correlated to elaboration of creativity category in scientific problem finding ability. In other hand, self-regulated learning strategy was significantly correlated to elaboration, inquiry motivation and inquiry level in scientific problem finding ability. Second, as the results of SEM analysis, we confirmed model I and model II were the best adequate through the indices of best fit (TLI, CFI>.90, RMSEA<.08); scientific problem finding ability was directly influenced motivation and self-regulated learning strategy but science related attitudes indirectly influenced scientific problem finding ability through motivation and self-regulated learning strategy. Based on the results, the implications for science gifted education were discussed.

The Effects of a Semantic Network Program Instruction for the Learning Achievement and Learning Motivation in High School Biology Class: Centering the Unit of Heredity (동기전략을 적용한 의미망 프로그램 활용 수업이 고등학교 생물 학업성취도와 학습동기에 미치는 효과: 생물I '유전' 단원을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of Semantic Network Program (SNP) instruction on learning achievement and motivation in high school biology classes. For this study, a SNP was designed by applying the recommendations in regard to student attention and satisfaction factors in Keller's ARCS theory. SNP instruction was conducted with an experimental group and a control group, each consisting of 62 high school biology class student. A pretest-posttest control group design was employed. The pre-test was used to analyze the learning achievement test, learning motivation test, and semantic forming test. For 4 weeks the experiment group was instructed using the developed SNP which centered on Keller's attention and satisfaction factors, and the control group was instructed via teacher-centered lectures based on the textbook. It was found that SNP instruction efficiently increased students' biology learning achievement (p<.001). It was also discovered that SNP instruction was effective in increasing Keller's motivation strategies on attention and satisfaction factors (p<.001). In addition, SNP instruction positively affected students' semantic formation (p<.001) and learning content retention (p>.05) in the heredity unit by aiding students in the area of active multimedia learning. An in depth interview with students in the class using SNP instruction showed that material learned via this method in biology had longer retention of problem-solving methods. Consequently, SNP instruction according to motivation strategies may high school biology teachers with meaningful teaching-learning methods strategies for the unit on heredity.

  • 본고에서는 기존 비동기식 디지틀 전송 방식의 제약을 극복할 수 있는 CCITT 표준 동기식 NNI 를 구현하는데 소요되는 중요 기술과 능력에 대해서 실현 전략적인 측면에서 관련 기술분석 및 고려해야할 사항을 제시하였다. 또한 동기식 NNI 적용 효과를 극대화시키기 위한 응용 방안을 망노드 장치의 기능, 망운용/관리, 전송서비스 측면에서 제시하였고, STM 기본 동기식 전송로로부터 ATM 기본 동기식 전송로로의 동기식 NNI 측면의 진화 단계를 제시하였다.

  • The public Information systems for destination marketing have poorly operated and failed to satisfy tourists' needs. Public tourism website mainly offers fundamental tourism information such as transportation, lodging and prime attractions, which is mainly specialized in commercial web sites, and fails to attract tourists. For the public benefits, marketing strategy publicl DMOs have to specialize their tourism information, and attract specific target markets. Thus, this study examined the effect of tourism motivations on information search behavior to figure out the importance of tourism information. The results show that the level of escapist motivation positively to the perceived importance of fundamental informations, and the level of activist motivation effects positively to the perceived importance of objective-specific informations. These results give show problems of regional tourism information site and implications are suggested.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of gamification strategies on improving participation and motivation of shared electric scooter users. To this end, this study derived the user type through the first research question of how the shared electric scooter usage behavior and pulse are, and derived user tasks and scenarios. The second research question, a shared electric kickboard app with gamification, was tested by users to see if it helps increase user participation and form motivation. As a result of the analysis, it was found that users were induced to be considerate of other users by using a combination of the motivational, relational, and self-expression strategies of gamification. Second, it was found that the use of motivation, achievement and reward, and reward visualization strategy elements promotes user's voluntary behavior. Third, through relationship, achievement, and reward strategies, users participated to create a positive culture of shared electric scooters, drawing immediate feedback, indicating that convenience has increased. In conclusion, it was found that the user helped to play a positive role in voluntary participation and motivation through the use of the shared electric kickboard service with gamification.

  • The purpose of this study was to understand language learning strategies use, language learning beliefs, and listening achievement of Korean EFL learners. The participants was sixty-nine university students who enrolled in blended learning classes for English listening. Data was collected and analyzed to see if there were any differences in strategies and beliefs between students who improved their listening test score and those who did not. The results showed that students showing improvement at the post-test used more language learning strategies and had a high level of motivation. Statistically significant correlation was found between motivation and strategies such as cognitive and meta-cognitive strategies.

  • This study investigated the relationship between learning strategies and achievements of the students in the department of health science, and differences between higher academic achievers and lower academic achievers in the use of the learning strategies. The results were as follows. First, there was a correlation between academic achievements and self-efficacy and power of execution in the personality area. Second, there was a positive correlation between academic achievements and academic motivation, a negative correlation between academic achievements and avoidnat motivation, in the motivation area. Third. there was a correlation between academic achievements and all 8 factors in the behavior area. In the use of learning strategies, there was a difference found in self-efficacy and the power of execution between the higher academic achievers and the lower academic achievers. It also was found that the lower academic achievers perceived more depression, showed remarkably lower motivation and higher avoidance motivation, than the higher academic achievers. Lastly, the lower academic achievers was lagged behind noticeably compared to the higher academic achievers in the ability of using all factors of the behavior area.

  • 국내 제 3세대 이동통신은 동기식인 cdma를 기반으로 무선인터넷과 멀티미디어 서비스가 제공되고 있으며 비동기식인 W-CDMA의 상용화가 전개되고 있다. 그런데 동기식과 달리 W-CDMA 서비스는 시장 불확실성, 유효수요 부족, 급격한 기술진화, 사업의지 및 전략 미흡, 경쟁서비스와 차별성 부족, 킬러 애플리케이션의 부재로 인하여 사업성이 불투명한 실정이다. 이에 본 글에서는 W-CDMA 서비스를 중심으로 제 3세대 이동통신의 본격적인 시장확산을 위한 성장동인이 되는 촉진요인과 당면과제가 되는 장애요인을 종합하여 핵심요인을 기술하였다. 그리고 다른 서비스와의 차별화 요인을 도출하고 경쟁우위를 확보하기 위한 전략적 방향을 제시하였다.

  • This study is to search an optimal model on causal relationships of the motivations to learn and motivation strategy in chemistry education. The participants in this study are consisted of G and I high schools students (487) in Gwangju. They all answered to the questionnaire. Model I is hypothesized to be path model of the mediation between 'self-efficacy, achievement need, and entity theory of intelligence' and 'learning strategy and self-handicapping tendency of motivation strategy' by goal orientation to explore variables of study effecting the motivation strategy. And Model II is hypothesized path model of the mediation between goal orientation and 'learning strategy and self-handicapping tendency' by 'self-efficacy, achievement need, and entity theory' to explore variables of study effecting the motivation strategy. Based on these models, structural equation modeling techniques are used to evaluate for the path model among goal orientation(learning, performance approach, and performance approach goal orientation), self-efficacy, achievement need, entity theory of intelligence, self-handicapping tendency, and learning strategy in chemistry education. As the results, Model II is considered. Goodness-of-fit indexes of this model related modification models are identified and analyzed in phases. And this model is accomplished by correcting the model the fifth time to enhance goodness-of-fit indexes. In this optimal model II-5 (Fig. 3) on causal relationships of the motivations to learn and learning strategy (p
