Theoretical Analysis on Overturn Safety of Train affected by Wind Pressure (풍압력을 받는 철도차량의 전복 안전에 관한 이론 해석)

  • Rolling stocks are often subjected to the effects of natural strong wind or wind pressure caused by the crossing train. These wind pressure cause the falling-off in running stability and overturn safety. It is sometimes reported that trains are blown over by a gust of wind. So, many countries enact regulations to secure the overturn safety for wind speed. In this study, theoretical equations of overturn safety based on multi-body model are derived and analyzed the difference between the result of the solid model and that of multi-body model. In case of multi-body model, it is assumed that the degrees of freedom for carbody and bogie are assigned an independent values respectively. The results show that the latter approach based on multi-body model can access the overturn safety of train and replace the conventional method by using commercial software which is accessing with decrement of wheel load.

  • GML proposed to offer interoperability of geography information is specifying various dynamic object schema for application in the wireless environment. These GML dynamic object schema supports the expression of moving objects that the position and shape change consecutively over time, so practical use of GML is increased in location-based service that provides various application services based on location information of moving objects. In particular, the conventional query languages about GML have been studied with priority given to the integration of geographic information, the support of spatial operations, and etc. However, it lacks the support for moving objects queries. Therefore, in this paper, we propose the moving objects query language that supports moving objects queries for GML documents by extension of XQuery that is standard in query language. Also, data model, algebra operation and various moving objects operators for the proposed query language are designed, and we apply the proposed query language to tornado government organization system to show that the proposed query language can be used effectively in various location-based service.

Mean Square Response Analysis of the Tall Building to Hazard Fluctuating Wind Loads (재난변동풍하중을 받는 고층건물의 평균자승응해석)

  • Based on random vibration theory, a procedure for calculating the dynamic response of the tall building to time-dependent random excitation is developed. In this paper, the fluctuating along- wind load is assumed as time-dependent random process described by the time-independent random process with deterministic function during a short duration of time. By deterministic function A(t)=1-exp($-{\beta}t$), the absolute value square of oscillatory function is represented from author's studies. The time-dependent random response spectral density is represented by using the absolute value square of oscillatory function and equivalent wind load spectrum of Solari. Especially, dynamic mean square response of the tall building subjected to fluctuating wind loads was derived as analysis function by the Cauchy's Integral Formula and Residue Theorem. As analysis examples, there were compared the numerical integral analytic results with the analysis fun. results by dynamic properties of the tall uilding.

Structural Optimization for a Jaw Using the Kriging model (이단계 크리깅 모델을 이용한 조(Jaw)의 구조최적설계)

  • The rail clamp is the device to prevent that a crane slips along rails due to the wind blast as well as locate the crane in the set position for loading and unloading containers. The wedge type rail clamp should be designed to consider the structural stability and the durability because it compresses both rail side with large clamping force by the wedge working as the wind speed increases. In this research, the kriging interpolation method using sequential sampling is utilized to find the optimum shape of the jaw in the rail clamp. The suggested method predicts more accurate response value than the response surface method. The optimum results obtained by the proposal method are compared with those by the commercial software.

  • 최근 가공 송전선로 건설에 대한 인근 지역주민들의 반대에 부딪쳐, 불가피하게 가옥이 밀집된 주거지역을 우회하거나 토지 활용도가 낮은 산악지를 이용하여 선로를 건설하는 경우가 대부분이다. 이와 같이 경과지의 제한성으로 인해 때때로 국지적인 기상현상 발생 우려가 있는 지역에 불가피하게 송전선로를 건설하는 경우가 있으며, 이상기상 현상이 발생하는 11월말에서 3월초 사이에 경기북부 지역의 국지성 돌풍에 의해 갤로핑(Galloping)현상이 종종 발생되었다 갤로핑은 바람으로 인해 전력선이 횡진과 출렁임이 발생되는 현상을 말한다. 송전선로의 지지물에는 주로 철탑이 사용되고, 전력선은 ACSR 410mm 복도체가 주로 사용된다. 송전선로는 경제성과 계통의 안전성을 고려하여 수직배열로 2회선용 표준철탑을 사용한다. 갤로핑 현상은 바람에 의해 전력설에 심한 진동을 일으켜, 수직 배열된 전력선 상간 단락 또는 전력선과 가공지선간의 지락으로 고장전류가 생기고, 고장전류에 의한 보호계전기 동작으로 선로가 트립(Trip)되며, 이로 인한 전력공급 중단이 발생된다. 또한 전력선의 기계적인 진동에 의하여 전력선의 단선 또는 지지물의 파손으로 영구고장을 일으킬 수도 있다. 본 논문에서는 경기북부지역의 산악지에 설치된 154kV 송전선로에서 산비탈면을 타고 오르는 상승 바람에 의한 갤로핑 사례를 국내 최초로 현장에서 촬영한 동영상 자료를 토대로 소개하고, 갤로핑 발생시 송전선로에 미친 영향 등 검토 결과를 설명하였다. 전력선에 생긴 아크 흔적을 토대로 전력선간의 단락이 발생했던 지점을 실제로 관측할 수 있었다. 최근 갤로핑으로 인한 상간 단락 고상 방지론 목적으로 개발된 폴리머 상간스페이서(Interphase spacer)의 시공 사례를 소개하고, 현재까지 상간스페이서가 설치된 송전선로의 점검 결과를 소개하고자 한다.

A Study on Wedge Angles of Wedge-type Rail Clamp for Preventing Jaw from Rotating (쐐기형 레일 클램프에서 조(jaw)의 회전을 방지하기 위한 적정 쐐기각에 대한 연구)

  • In this paper, we designed a wedge type rail-clamp which can protect container crane from sudden wind blast with constant clamping force regardless of the operating period. When we design wedge type rail clamp, it is important to determine an angle of wedge which prevent rotating of jaw and for smooth operation when wind blows. Therefore, this paper suggest a process to decide an angle of wedge within proper range obtained by experimental analysis as well as FEA of the wedge type rail clamp. A model with $6^{\circ}$ wedge angle is the most proper model to use in rail clamp bemuse it generated satisfactory clamping force and rotating angle underdesign specification.

  • This study is concerned with the estimation of fluctuate wind velocity statistic properties in the major cities reflecting the recent meteorological with largest data samples (yearly 2003-2012). The basic wind speeds were standardized homogeneously to the surface roughness category C, and to 10m above the ground surface. The estimation of the extreme of non-Gaussian load effects for design applications has often been treated tacitly by invoking a conventional wind design (gust load peak factor) on the basis of Gaussian processes. This assumption breaks down when the loading processes exhibits non-Gaussianity, in which a conventional wind design yields relatively non conservative estimates because of failure to include long tail regions inherent to non-Gaussian processes. This study seeks to ascertain the probability distribution function from recently wind data with effected typhoon & maximum instantaneous wind speed.

  • Vessels on anchoring are frequently dragged due to the increased area of wind pressure by enlargement of ship's size and sudden gust of winds in recent years. In the view point of the ship's navigators, the proper measurements corresponding to the dragging of anchor should be taken into account concerned about the time for the occurring of dragging by the external forces such as wind and wave, the pattern and speed of dragging and the possibility of collisions with any other vessels or obstacles. In this paper, it was examined the actual dragging anchor in T.S. HANBADA due to the wind and waves. From this case, it was found the critical external forces by which she was begun to dragged comparing the force by the wind, frictional resistance, drifting force and ship motion moment with the holding power. Also, through the analysis of the dragging pattern, it was known the alteration range of heading angle, swinging width and dragging speed etc.

  • In recent years, the number of high-rise buildings has been on the rise. As buildings have become larger in scale, significantly different issues related to their construction and maintenance have emerged. In addition, the automation and mechanization of the cleaning work for the curtain wall, one of the most frequently-performed tasks in building maintenance, is required as a fundamental measure. For this reason, a guide-rail cleaning robot system is emerging as one of the measures in response to external factors, including gust. Therefore, this is a preliminary study for the automation and mechanization of the curtain wall cleaning of high-rise buildings, and aims to derive the basic units and prepare for the concept of the guide rail. It is expected to serve as precedent research for the development and operation of a curtain-wall cleaning robot, and to prepare the basis for an final design of optimal guide rail.

The optimum results obtained by two methods are compared and examined.
