본 연구는 우리 나라 물공급의 60% 이상을 담당하고 있는 한국 수자원 공사의 수자원 관리 설비의 방식에 관한 연구이다. 특히 수자원 관리 시설의 대부분이 철구조물로 외부에 노출되어 있거나, 해수와 담수에 동시에 접해있기도 하며 끊임없이 화학약품에 영향을 받고 있기도 하다 이러한 매우 열악한 환경 하에 있는 대부분의 설비 및 철구조물들은 부식이 쉽게 되어 부식으로 인한 시설관리 및 경제적 피해가 발생하게 된다. 수자원 공사는 여러 해 동안 설비 보전을 위해 부식에 관한 많은 연구들을 수행하고 있으며 그 중 도장을 통한 설비의 방식을 주로 시행하고 있으나 이런 도장 방식이 체계적으로 정리되어 있지 않고 또한 도장 방식의 수명이 길지 못하므로 주기적으로 재시공하여야 한다는 단점이 있다. 알루미늄 코팅 방식은 알루미늄이 철 보다 부식 전위가 낮아 부식이 잘 진행되어 철 구조물의 부식을 방지하는 희생 양극 특성이 있다. 그러나 알루미늄 도장의 경우 시공 단가가 비싼 단점이 있어 시공비를 줄이기 위하여 알루미늄 도장전에 철 구조물의 표면을 전처리하는 공정을 개선하여 총 시공비의 80%를 점하는 전처리 비용을 절감하여 경제적인 도장 방법을 조사하고자 하였다.

The electrostatic is well known phenomena. The fires and explosions caused by electrostatic occur often in the coating mechanical system. This paper presents various cases of electrostatic hazards, reasons why electrostatic hazards are happened, and methods for preventing electrostatic hazards. Generally the electrostatic can be lead to corona discharging, streaming electrification, and impinging electrification in the coating process. Corona discharging happens at electrostatic spray gun with 70 kV. Streaming electrification occurs at mixing process between paint and thinner, and transportation process with thinner. Impinging electrification is shown when the thinner are sprayed to drums. For the purpose of preventing the electrostatic discharge and damage, conductors should be ground, surface electric potential of should be decreased in using electrostatic shielding and ground, and flow of thinner should be controlled acceptable velocity.

An indirect concept and method is proposed to predict the paint dry time at the inside wall of ship block. To implement this concept on computer program, optimal hot air supply-exhaust system of paint dry facility was designed by CFD simulation and experiment was performed to get the paint dry time curve according to various paint dry conditions. After combining the block inside environment from the simulation results and the paint dry time prediction curve from the curve-fitting of experimental result, the GUI program which can be executed in general PC OS has been finally developed.

SK이노베이션이 발주한 V-PROJECT는 이미 가동중인 SK에너지 인천COMPLEX 석유화학플랜트 기존 공장에 Condensate와 Crude를 처리하여 Benzene과 p-Xylene 생산시설 및 부대시설 증설 프로젝트이다. 이 시설에서 주로 생산되는 자일렌(p-Xylene)은 폴리에스터 섬유의 원료로서 국내를 비롯하여 중국, 인도, 남미 등의 섬유시장 성장으로 최근들어 수요가 많아짐에 따라 생산시설을 증설한 것이다. 이 프로젝트 완공으로 2015년부터는 기존보다 3배 증가한 벤젠 50만톤, 톨루엔 10만톤, 자일렌 130만톤이 연간 생산될 예정이다. 본지는 V4 Area의 기계설치 및 배관 철골제작 설치, 도장공사를 시공한 성창E&C(주)(대표 김기영)의 이종윤 소장을 만나 플랜트 현장 특성 상 기밀사항인 시공은 생략하고 현장 이야기를 들어 보았다.
