Analysis on the Differences of Point of View between Architect and Urban Planner on the Evaluation of International Urban Design Competition (국제설계경기 평가에서 건축가와 도시계획가의 관점차이 분석)

  • During the development process of mega-project, individual buildings including skyscrapers are built following the master plan. It is not a difficult thing to see the gap of standpoint between the urban planners and architects on the project. This study aims to analyze the difference between architect and urban planner's point of view in evaluating international design competition works which the internationally distinguished honorable design companies(SOM, Jerde Partnership, Studio Daniel Libeskind, Foster+Partners and Asymptote Architecture) submitted as the ideas of Yongsan International Business District Design. Furthermore, we made an attempt to quantify the weight of each factors of urban design by each group. Architect and urban planner's viewpoint were revealed with seven architects and seven urban planners evaluating the international design competition works through AHP(Analytical Hierarchy Process). AHP structure was made of two step hierarchy in terms of Master Plan and Landmark Tower. Eight evaluation criteria were set up such as the concept, land use, transportation, feasibility of Master Plan and the concept, location, functional efficiency and aesthetic beauty of Landmark Tower. Results show that Architect have different point of view from that of urban planner. While the architect's weight of evaluation criteria is on the Landmark Tower(0.505), urban planner's weight is on Master Plan(0.642). Feasibility, the location of Landmark Tower and land-use are very important evaluation criteria to architect and urban planner in common. Functional efficiency of Landmark Tower is in architect's favour and transportation is in urban planner.

Characterizing the Structure of China's Passenger Railway Network Based on the Social Network Analysis(SNA) Approaches : Focused on the 2008, 2013, and 2018 Railway Service Data, Respectively (사회 네트워크 분석 방법론에 기초한 중국의 여객 철도 네트워크 특성 분석 : 2008년, 2013년, 2018년 운행 데이터를 중심으로)

  • The study aimed to analyze the structure of China's passenger railway network in the years of 2008, 2013, and 2018, respectively. At the same time, it tried to investigate its derivative impact on the patterns of Chinese urban network. The analytical tool was based on the NetMiner4.0. In order to measure network characteristics of China's passenger railway network, it primarily focused on the degree centrality, betweenness centrality, and closeness centrality. First of all, the higher degree centralities, with a few exceptions, were observed in BeiJing, ShangHai, GuangZhou, WuHan, XiAn, ChengDu, HaErBin, and ShenYang over a decade. In contrast, the higher betweenness centralities were recorded in cities of higher development potential including WuLuMuQi, GuiYang, ShenYang, and KunMing. The closeness centrality analyses confirmed the fact that most metropoles like BeiJing, ShangHai, and GuangZhou kept the highest train accessibility during the same research period. At the same time, the opening up of a new stretch of high speed railway network has consecutively strengthened connectivity between BeiJing and TianJin. Owing to unprecedented development of railway traffic and its extensive operations, this study believes that Chinese major cities, without interruption, would pursue a series of urban policy alternatives geared towards railway stations-oriented networking and competitively try to extend their network ranges.

  • 본 논문에서는 레이싱 게임에서 도시 맵을 빠르게 생성 및 합성할 수 있는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 레이싱 분류의 게임은 고정된 영역이 아닌 넓은 영역을 이동하는 특징이 있지만 이를 위한 맵을 디자인하고 개발하는 것은 많은 시간을 요구한다. 이 문제는 큰 지형 맵을 전처리 과정에서 생성함으로써 완화 시킬 수 있지만 고정적인 맵은 게임을 지루하게 만들며 그렇다고 다양한 맵을 모두 전처리 과정에서 처리하는 것은 비효율적이다. 이 같은 문제를 해결하기 위해 우리는 전처리 과정에서 지형 패턴을 만들어 실시간에 맵을 생성하고 다양한 맵을 랜덤하게 합성 할 수 있는 기법을 제안한다. 또한, View-dependent기법을 제안하는 프레임워크를 통합시켜 불필요한 렌더링 계산을 줄임으로써 효율성을 증대시킨다. 본 연구는 Unity 게임 엔진에서 개발했으며 레이싱 게임뿐만 아니라 다양한 콘텐츠에서 활용할 수 있다.

Identifying the Comic Festival's values on the Urban Revitalization: in the case of BICOF (만화축제의 도시 활성화 가치 인식에 관한 연구 : BICOF 사례를 중심으로)

  • This article is concerned with the values of the BICOF in terms of the urban revitalization. The values of the BICOF cover the economic value, social value, cultural value and city image value. The 13 indicators for measuring the values of the BICOF are developed. The article examined how the related stakeholders identified the BICOF's values on the Bucheon City by using AHP method. In addition, the objectives and programmes of the BICOF are analyzed in the perspective of the urban revitalization. As a result, the recognition of the BICOF's values varied according to the stakeholders. In addition, the result of AHP analysis indicates that the cultural values and image values should have priorities in comparison with the social values and economic values. This recognitions is different from the recent formal statements that BICOF's economic values should be emphasized as a priority. The article concludes that the identity of the BICOF should be established in the base of building the value consensus among the related stakeholders.

  • This study is to analyze impacts of a newly developed festival based on place attachment and involvement theories using SEM. The results are that there are positive relationships between festival involvement and festival impacts, but there are negative relationships between place attachment and the impacts. The results mean that residents may have not enough interaction with the newly developed festival. Therefore, the findings suggest that organizers and managers are need to make efforts to communicate with citizens and to enlarge place attachments with the festival.

  • Land Use Information is the key of the rational decision in urban and regional planning. Although the local and central governments have data related to land use, urban and regional planners can gather the land use information in difficulty. For use the data which the governments have made, they should formally show their needs and applications, On this background, this study try to show the demands of such information for urban planning using questionnaire. Analyzing the result, it can present the hardness of gathering land use information, the high demands, and the needs of the each data field.

Analysis of the comic governance in region (지역의 만화 거버넌스 실증분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to enhance the competitiveness of the city through utilize of cultural content in region. To achieve the purpose, the study empirically analyzed the regional comic governance. The analysis is assessed through survey measurements of the level of cognition of citizens (n=493) in Bucheon city. According to the conceptual framework, the study measures value of comics, comic city policy, cartoonists activity, and utilize effect of the comic & support. Also, we analyzed the significant differences of cognition by respondent characteristics. Lastly, this study used structural equation modeling (SEM) to test the relationships between value of comics and utilize effect of the comic & support.

Flood Stage Analysis on Vegetated Patterns with River Sites (하천유형별 식생모델의 홍수위 분석)

  • This study carried out stability evaluation for design flood stage of vegetation models with river sites using 1D HEC-RAS and 2D RMA-2 numerical models. The vegetation models established in this study were divided into which channel reaches consist of urban, rural and mountain rivers with the social and cultural significance of the sites. Examination results from the numerical models showed a similar aspect with the design flood stage of these rivers before vegetation modeling. Also, no embankment overflow was shown from the urban river with additional vegetation density of 25%, although there were approximately 0.20m rising in the flood stage. In case of ural and mountain rivers, vegetation models showed scarce rising in flood stage.

  • 최근 빈번하게 발생하고 있는 국지성 집중호우로 인한 해안 도시지역의 내수침수 원인 및 면적을 XP-SWMM 모형을 이용하여 분석하였다. 이 연구의 대상은 해안과 인접한 지역이며, 유역의 면적은 $2.74km^2$이고 관로의 총연장은 11.20km이다. 대상지역을 32개의 소유역과 67개의 하수관로로 XP-SWMM 모형의 입력자료를 구축하였다. 대상유역에 대한 강우분석을 수행하여 2년, 5년, 10년, 20년, 30년, 50년 빈도의 강우량을 결정하였으며, 각 빈도의 강우사상에 대하여 조위조건을 반영한 침수해석을 수행하였다. 우수관거시스템과 연계된 TUFLOW 흐름모형을 이용하여 침수범람지역을 모의하였다. 모의 결과 모든 빈도에 대하여 내수침수 현상이 발생하는 것으로 나타났으며, 빈도별로 최대침수심은 0.485~0.673m, 침수면적은 $88,600{\sim}230,700m^2$로 예측되었다. 대상유역의 침수발생 양상은 하수관로의 유량이 맨홀을 통해 지표면으로 분출되는 현상이 발생하며, 이 지역의 하류로 침수범위가 확대되는 것으로 나타났다. 이런 현상은 상류에 위치한 소유역의 우수 유출량을 집수하는 집수정의 용량과 하류로 유하시키는 우수관로의 통수단면이 부족한 것을 주요 원인으로 생각할 수 있다.

  • The ultimate purpose of cities is 'the enhancement of quality of life in city'. In order to achieve this, it is required to optimize the Ontology-driven ubiquitous services included in the U-City and UIS of regions and communities and so on. Almost U-Service's contents are related to spatial or temporal extent. So it is important to design Spatio-temporal event schema for efficient access to U-City. There is a rapid change into an urban society in the shape of Ontology-driven ubiquitous services in which a content on a region or an incident is newly reconstructed through various ideas with the influence of the ubiquitous environment.
