This study aims to investigate the effects of social connectedness on depressive symptom focusing on the comparison between the rural and urban elderly. Data from 'Korean Social Life, Health and Aging Project: KSHAP' was used for analyzing. The analysis included 948 rural elderly and 982 urban elderly. The results showed that urban elderly's depressive symptom level was higher than rural elderly's. Depending on the subcomponent of social connectedness, there were differences in the influence on the urban and rural elderly's depressive symptom. It has been confirmed that only loneliness has affected urban elderly people, and that appraisal social support and loneliness have affected rural elderly people, and that belongingness social support has not been significant in both groups. Findings from this research have some implications for intervention endeavors in reducing depressive symptom of older people.

Culture contents industry in Gyeongbuk province has consumption system, being small-scale, an lacking infrastructure, imbalance, a shortage of strategy, and so on. But, culture contents industry in Gyeongbuk province has great possibilities in abundant culture resources, a prospect of the culture contents industry and future effective promotion strategy. And the promotion plans are the digitalization of the cultural original form, the edutainment of the Confucianism culture, construction of a traditional cultural digital center, location marketing, establishment of Documentary Film Council, culture literacy, an orientation of small film, promotion of the global city and the culture base city, development of killer contents, exploitation of tourism resource, discriminating strategy, and so on. Actually Gyeongbuk province should need to promote the culture contents industry because of high added value, an effect on related industries, utility of the digital culture contents, extension of a market scale, a rapid growth speed, and so on.

The purpose of this paper is to examine how European textbooks reflect Seoul nowadays. The study focuses on the trend of textbooks in main European countries, such as England, France, Spain, Italy, and Germany. They tend to describe Seoul as one of the mega cities with urban problems, and introduces the city as an economic center which is responsible for interaction with other mega cities. Besides, Seoul is also described as less competitive city compared to others, and its history and cultural resources are not paid attention. Despite everything, it is fortunate that there are very few errors in descriptions of Seoul. In future I expect that descriptions of Seoul in European textbooks are enhanced in not only economic aspects of Seoul but also historic and cultural aspects of Seoul and then European textbooks get more reliable contents to inform Korea.

The present study purposed to examine the possibility of developing historicity inherent in places into tourism resources from the view that the history and location of historical cities have the nature of cultural contents. Previous researches on tourism have been focused on tourist facilities, the development of tourist attractions, economic effects, cultural policies, etc. However, the present study makes a cultural approach to historical cities to explore the meaning of places formed through history and the historicity of places, assuming that the temporal and spatial characteristics of Hanseong-bu can be developed into tourism resources. Major places of Hanseong-bu are classified according to their functions and cultural meanings, and these factors are associated with the geographical structure of the area. By landform and cultural characteristics during the Chosun Dynasty, Hanseong-bu is divided into the central part, the boundary area, and the outskirts. In addition, different elements, which can be developed into tourism resources, are found according to the landscape of Hanseong-bu, the character as a dynastic city, the environs inside the wall, and differences among localities reflecting pre-modem lifestyle.

도시지역 대기오염에 의한 건강 위해도 정보는 시민들 삶의 질을 점검하는데 중요하다. 이에 따라 대도시 지역의 여러 오염원들로 부터 배출되는 대기오염물질의 양과 그로 인한 인체 위해도를 시민들이 스마트 폰과 같은 일상적인 통신수단으로 확인할 수 있는 시스템을 설계하고 우리나라 대도시 지역에 적용하는 실험을 하였다. 설계된 시스템에서는 도시 대기로 배출되는 오염물질의 일별 배출량 값들을 산출하고 건강 위해도 인자들을 적용하여 잠재적(potential) 수명 단축 일 수로 정량화한 뒤, 사용자 모델을 통한 적응형 데이터로의 경화량 과정을 거친 후 모바일 기기로 전달되게 된다.

현재 중소도시에서의 상권조사는 대부분이 과거의 자료와 지적도를 이용한 가가호호를 일일이 방문하여 확인하는 방법을 쓰고 있다. 본 연구에서는 상권조사용 조사용 편집 지도를 제작하여 약 7개 상권역의 점포명과 유동인구 및 임대료 등을 조사하여 정리한 것이다. 이러한 조사방법과 분석은 가시적인 조사 방법이어서 조사하기가 쉽고 누락될 염려가 없을 뿐 아니라 전산처리를 위한 분석 작업도 매우 편리하다. 본 연구에서는 중소도시에 대한 과거 상권과 현재의 상권의 변화를 파악하기 위하여 업종별 조사를 실시하여 분석함으로써 시간절약은 물론 공간정보의 다양한 활용을 모색한 것이다.

Local governments have been actively introducing the CIP(City Identity Program), which identity their regional features and publicize the governments, to increase municipal identity and encourage the participation of residents since the self-governing system was enforced. However, some local governments didn't perform the intended purposes. Therefore this paper is to compare regional characters, symbols, slogans of the east-coast cities in Kanwon-do and to evaluate them as a tourism cities' image tools.

지난 1973년 이후 비가 내리는 날이 크게 증가되고 있으며, 1995년 이후 최근 10년간 우리나라의 전체 홍수 피해액은 약 17조 5천억 원으로 연 평균 1조 7천억원의 피해가 발생하고 있으며, 홍수피해의 90%이상이 인구가 밀집되고, 자산가치가 높은 도시에서 홍수로 인한 피해가 빈발하고 있기 때문에 도시침수 문제는 매우 심각한 실정이라 할 수 있다. 이에 따라 집중호우나 홍수범람시 수해 발생 가능성이 점차 증가하고 있는 침수피해가 높은 도시지역의 배수시스템에 대한 검토와 막대한 재산 및 인명피해로 이어질 수 있는 홍수피해에 대응하기 위한 홍수 지약지점에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 일부지역의 도로배수 네트워크 분석을 실시하여 도로의 배수 취약지점을 탐색해보고, 집중호우 및 홍수 발생시 침수 발생가능성이 높은 지점을 선정하여 도로배수 네트워크 개선을 위한 효과적인 침수예방대책 자료로 활용하고자 한다.

본 연구에서는 하나의 도시유역 중소하천에 대하여 수리 수문 분석을 바탕으로 홍수예경보 발령을 위한 일련의 분석 체계를 수립하였다. 이를 통해 산정된 결과물은 강우지속기간별 경보발령 기준 강우량 수치이다. 이것은 해당 하천이 합류하는 본류 하천의 배수위 영향에 따라 달라질 수 있다. 경보발령 기준 강우량 산정을 위한 도시유역 중소하천의 수리 수문 분석은 가장 일반적인 해석 모형인 HEC-HMS 및 HEC-RAS 모형들을 상호 연계하여 이루어졌으며, 경보발령 기준 강우량 산정에 있어서는 상 하류의 다양한 관측수위 조건을 고려하였다.

The development of projection technology produces series of discussions associated to various form of visual immersing possibilities by the way of projecting image directly to the obscure surface surrounded us. Besides, the significance can be found in terms of that this kind of image projection offers chance to citizens to enjoy high standard images and makes people consider media environment of city. Video art as the digital technology grafts penetrates formative space of city by projecting images. The certain thing about questions how the media has status in city is that media is now not existing for self neither for abstractly and virtual reality is existing in the general appearance of metropolis. This paper treats media environment of city and the meaning of image projection as from of video art in the city. It accesses about the meaning of video form visual art in big city- new reality, the virtual and the real, immersion and interactivity. And media reality of metropolis defines that there is not one major discourse in the gigantic text -metropolis rather they are different discourses each other simultaneously compatible in the gigantic text -metropolis and in fact, they affect each other and interact.
