Expectation of Astigmatism by Spherical Equivalent Visual Acuity (등가구면 시력으로부터 난시량의 예측)

  • Purpose: This study was tried whether expectation of astigmatism from spherical equivalent visual acuity was possible. Methods: For 54 men and women (108 eyes) corrected to emmetropia, average age of 23.3, changes of visual acuity (5m) were measured with an increasing the powers at every ${\pm}$0.25D when the (-) axis of cross cylinder is $180^{\circ}$, $90^{\circ}$, and $45^{\circ}$, respectively. Results: As the power of cross cylinder was increased, visual acuity was decreased. When the powers of cross cylinder were ${\pm}$2.50D ($180^{\circ}$ and $90^{\circ}$) and ${\pm}$2.25D ($45^{\circ}$), visual acuity was 0.05 which is the minimum measurement possible. Conclusions: The diagram on astigmatism dealing with each spherical equivalent visual acuity was able to tabulate.

Numerical Modeling on the Prediction of Groundwater Recovery in the Youngchun Area, Kyungbook Province (경상북도 영천지역의 지하수위 회복 예측 수치 모델링)

  • A modeling was performed to predict the groundwater recovery in the vicinity of the waterway tunnel area using a groundwater flow model MODFLOW. The model was calibrated to reproduce measured groundwater levels and observed flow rates into the tunnel prior to lining, and then used for flow simulation under transient condition. Model predictions under steady-state condition revealed that if tunnel conductance had been reduced by 25% to 90%, groundwater levels would recover between 8% and 72.4% of their initial levels and flow into the tunnel will decrease between 5.5% and 82.7%. In case of 75% tunnel condutance ruduction in transient simulation. most of wells were predicted to recover within 20 years or so. The complete recovery for the wells with the groundwater level over 70 m was found to be impossible. For the 90% tunnel conductance reduction, all wells were found to be recovered within 15 years.

  • 본 연구에서는 매개변수 자동 보정기법인 PEST(Model-Independent Parameter Estimation and Uncertainty Analysis)를 CAT 모형에 연계하여 유출특성 분석을 실시하였다. CAT-PEST 연계모형은 CAT 모형의 모의유출량을 이용하며 PEST의 반복계산을 통하여 최적 매개변수를 추정한다. 침투방법은 CAT에서 제공하는 Rainfall Excess 방법, Green and Ampt 방법 및 Horton 방법을 이용하였으며 각 침투방법에 따른 유출 특성을 비교 및 분석하였다. 연구대상유역은 보령 댐 유역으로 유역면적은 $163.7km^2$이며 전체면적의 약 80%가 산지로 구성되어 있고, 유로연장은 22.3km, 유역평균경사는 40.19%이다. 또한 보령댐 유역의 월평년값 평균기온은 -0.8에서 $25.5^{\circ}C$로 계절변동이 매우 큰 것을 알 수 있다. 최근 몇 년간 심각한 가뭄 피해를 입은 보령댐 유역은 2016년에 도수관로를 완공하여 이를 통해 금강으로부터 물을 끌어다 쓰고 있는 실정이며, CAT 모형에서는 금강도수유입량을 외부유입 처리하여 유출량을 산정하였다. 모의기간은 1999년부터 2017년까지이며 전체기간에 대한 보정 후 연도별 보정을 실시하였다. 통계적 평가수단은 $R^2$, RMSE 및 NSE를 사용하여 유역 최종출구점에서의 유출량과 비교하였으며 전체기간에 대한 보정결과 NSE와 $R^2$가 0.75 이상으로 나타나 대체적으로 모의 유출수문곡선이 관측 수문곡선과 유사한 양상을 보였다.

Partial discharge properties of insulating materials for UPS (UPS용 절연재료의 부분방전 특성)

  • In this paper, the discharge properties due to time variation were investigated in order to estimate a electrical performance of the insulator for small transformer. AC 10[kVl applied to specimen was converted to $\pm$5[V] and stored to personal computer through A/D converter. A period of applied wave form and discharge values were divided into 64 parts and discharge values generated during 10 seconds were accumulated by phases. As a result, it was confirmed that count of discharge, total discharge and the variation degree of average discharge were decreased as time elapsed.

Stochastic Prediction of Storage Considering Uncertainty of Inflow and Application to Drought Mitigation (저수지 유입량의 불확실성을 고려한 저수량의 확률론적 예측 및 가뭄 대응을 위한 활용 방안)

  • 본 연구에서는 유입량의 불확실성을 고려하여 미래 저수량을 확률론적으로 예측하였다. 월별 유입량을 표본으로 한 확률밀도함수를 핵밀도함수(kernel function)를 이용하여 추정하고, 추정된 확률분포로 월별 유입량을 모의 발생하였다. 모의 발생된 유입량을 통해 연속적인 조건부 확률을 산정하였고, 이의 누적확률분포(F(x))는 해당 저수량에 도달하지 못할 확률, 즉 실패확률을 의미하므로 1-F(x)로 해당 저수량 이상을 확보할 수 있는 확률을 산정하였다. 보령댐을 대상으로 분석한 결과 2016년 2월 말 저수량 27.8 백만$m^3$ 기준으로 3월부터 6월까지 정상용수공급환원 기준 저수량을 만족할 확률이 각각 2.3%, 12.5%, 24.2%, 33.5%로 나타났다. 지역적 가뭄에 대응하기 위해 하천유지용수 감량, 용수 대체공급, 자율 급수조정 및 금강-보령댐 도수로를 이용한 용수공급으로 20.6만$m^3/day$의 용수가 비축될 경우, 정상용수공급환원 기준 저수량을 만족할 확률이 10.2%, 40.3%, 73.8%, 78.7%로 용수비축의 효과가 크게 나타나는 것을 확인하였다. 저수량의 확률론적 예측을 통해 미래 저수량의 확률적 발생가능성을 추정할 수 있으며, 가뭄이 발생할 경우, 가뭄 대응효과를 정량적으로 나타낼 수 있어 가뭄 위험 상황 전달 및 용수공급조정 의사결정 시 활용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

Determination of Infiltration Capacity Based on Observed Hydrological Data for the Upper Ansung Stream Basin (안성천 상류유역에서의 수문관측자료에 의한 침투능 곡선식의 결정)

  • In this study unit hydrograph and infiltration capacity curves have been determined based on rainfall-runoff data for the upper Ansung stream basin. Infiltration capacity curve also has been computed based on measurements of accumulated infiltration. Accumulated infiltration curve which has close relationship with unit hydrograph has been found in adopting the following two approach methods. In the first method the mean infiltration capacity with infiltration index method and the Kostiakov accumulation infiltration curves have been computed based on hydrological data for the GongDo gauging station of the upper Ansung stream basin. In the second method the accumulation curve has been determined through directly observed infiltration data for four points in the upper basin and has been compared with the infiltration capacity curves by three observed rainfall-runoff event.

Numerical Analysis of Flow and Bed Changes for Selecting Optimized Section of Buried Water Pipeline Crossing the River (하천을 횡단하는 도수관로의 최적 매설구간 선정을 위한 흐름 및 하상변동 수치모의)

  • A water pipeline buried under the riverbed could be exposed by bed erosion, therefore safe crossing sections should be analyzed for preventing damages due to the exposure of pipelines. In this study, flow and bed changes have been simulated using a two-dimensional numerical model for selecting the optimized section of pipeline crossing in the Geum River. As a result of simulation with the 20-year recurrence flood, sediment deposition has been distributed overall in the channel and bed erosion over 2 m has occurred near bridge piers. For the extreme flood simulation, the channel bed near the bridge piers has been eroded down to the buried depth. Therefore, within 140 m upstream of the bridge piers, bed erosion affects a buried pipeline in safety due to bridge pier effects and the crossing section over 150 m upstream of bridge piers is selected as a safe zone of a water pipeline.

A Comparative Study on Hydraulic Jump and Specific Energy Losses at Downstream According to the Weir Discharge Types (보 유출형태에 따른 하류부 도수 및 비에너지 손실에 관한 비교 연구)

  • The weirs built so far are mainly overflow type weirs overflowing to the upstream. Main advantages of overflow type weirs are, effective water resources management and easy design, construction and maintenance due to many accumulated studies. However, due to the special feature of the overflow type weir where water overflows through the upstream of the weir, the silt coming from the upstream is not discharged to the downstream of the weir. This increases the river bed and reduces the reservoir capacity, and as a result, the weir loses its function. A underflow type weir with a water gate has been implemented in order to solve such sediment deposit and weir maintenance problems. However due to the design problem of recently constructed underflow type weirs, the river bed of the downstream of a weir has been scoured. And this leds to a structural problem. In this study, the flow characteristics of overflow type weirs and underflow type weir, hydraulic jump length analysis depending on change of water depth and the amount of specific energy loss generated per unit length depending on a weir type have been compared and analyzed, for the effective design and management of the weirs. The experiment results show that, when identical upstream conditions of underflow type weir and an overflow type weir were maintained, the hydraulic jump length was up to twice longer with Fr(Froude number) 3.5 of the hydraulic jump length at the underflow type weir, and the hydraulic jump length gradually decreased as the downstream water depth increased. The comparative analysis result of the amount of specific energy loss generated per unit length showed that the amount of energy loss per unit length was twice higher for an overlfow type weir than a underflow type weir. Therefore, in case of a underflow type facility, an additional energy reduction facility is determined to be necessary for safety of water construction structures.

  • 본 연구에서는 물리적 매개변수 기반의 물 순환 해석 모형인 CAT(Catchment hydrologic cycle Assessment Tool)을 이용하여 보령댐 유역 상류에 위치한 삼산저수지의 저류량을 분석하였다. 연구기간은 2012~2017년이며 2015년 발생한 가뭄 대책의 일환으로 2016년 이후 금강과 보령댐을 잇는 도수로를 설치하여 유역내로 외부유입량이 유입되었다. 이에 본 연구에서는 보다 정확한 저류량 산정을 위해 모의 기간을 2012~2015년 및 2016~2017년으로 나누어 연구를 수행하였다. 매개변수 보정에 앞서 CAT에서 제공하는 세 가지 침투해석방법인 Rainfall Excess, Green&Ampt, Horton 방법을 모두 적용하여 모의하였으며 그 결과 Rainfall Excess 침투방법을 적용했을 때의 모의 정확도가 비교적 높게 나타나는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이에 본 연구에서는 Rainfall Excess 침투방법의 주요 토양 관련 매개변수인 토양수분율(${\theta}s$), 연직방향 투수계수(ks) 및 사면방향 투수계수(ksi)를 대상으로 전역최적화기법(SCEUA-P)을 이용한 보정을 수행하였으며 보정 전 후의 모의 저류량과 관측 저류량을 연도별로 비교 및 분석하였다.

Comparison between Response AC/A and CA/C Ratio according to Additional Spherical Powers and Prism Powers (가입렌즈 도수와 프리즘 굴절력 변화에 따른 반응 AC/A비와 CA/C비 비교)

  • Purpose : This study was to examine a correlation of response AC/A ratio by additional spherical powers with PD(Pupilary distance) and relative accommodation, and was to investigate correlation of CA/C ratio by prism powers. The mean differences between a reciprocal response AC/A ratio and a CA/C ratio were compared, and were suggested to be used as data in the refractive power and prism prescriptions in the clinical. Methods: The open field autorefractometer (Nvision-K 5001, Shin nippon) and Howell target at 40 cm fixation distance to 62 persons with average $22.62{\pm}2.84$ ages were used to measure the response AC/A ratio according to additional Spherical powers. The CA/C ratios were measured using the DOG card at 40cm according to prism powers. Results: When the response accommodation according to Additional Spherical power changes and the response accommodation according to prism power changes were compared, it was larger than the response accommodation according prism power change. These were significant differences statistically. The correlation of response AC/A ratio and PD is showed as r = -0.158, the CA / C ratio is shown as r = 0.093. The correlation of response AC/A ratio and relative accommodation showed as r = -0.253, the CA/C ratio showed as r = 0.566 that is predictable correlation. The correlation of response AC/A ratio and CA/C ratio showed as r = -0.355 that is low minus correlation (p = 0.000). The difference between a reciprocal response AC/A ratio and a CA/C ratio showed $0.12{\pm}0.06D/{\Delta}$ with a significant difference statistically (p=0.000). Conclusions: The correlation of relative accommodation and CA/C ratio showed that depend on the individual, The more a relative accommodation is, the higher a response accommodation of convergence by convergence stimulus is. The reciprocal response AC/A and CA/C ratio showed significant differences statistically. This can have higher CA/C ratio in patients with low AC/A ratio in clinical as an independent variable. Thus when the abnormal binocular vision was prescribed in the clinical, it is necessary to consider the accommodative response even if the AC/A ratio is a normal range.
