For the diversity of energy supply system and the improvement in the habitants' living environments of the islands, it is possible and necessary to use the natural energy as resources of the electric power generation system. In this study, the characteristics of wind and solar radiation on 4 islands offshore Namhae-Tongyoung of Korea were measured for one year from November 2010 to October 2011 and analyzed in relation to energy resources survey. As a result of measurement and analysis, the respective wind rose diagrams of 4 islands were made, and showed that the frequencies of wind directions were quite different from among the islands. The Rayleigh probability distribution of wind velocity showed that the wind speeds of KR and SS were mainly 2~5m/s, and the respective quantities of electric power generation of 4 islands were shown to be different. The variation of solar radiations and potential quantity of those uses were measured to be similar to each other among 4 islands.

There are only 14 public medical facilities available to residents regularly in the island area of Chungcheongnam-do, one health life support center, and one hospital ship, and these facilities and equipment cannot effectively respond to emergency patients such as severe trauma, cerebrovascular and cardiovascular diseases. The fastest means of transporting emergency patients is to use a doctor helicopter deployed at Dankook University Hospital (based in Cheonan). However, there is only one doctor helicopter deployed, and it cannot operate at night, and since it is in charge of all areas of Chungcheongnam-do, there is a limit to rapid transport in the event of a large number of patients. Therefore, we would like to review the necessity of "Chungnam-type Doctor UAM Development" to compensate for the problems of the urban aviation mobility (UAM) industry and the emergency patient transport system in islands, a field of the 4th industry.

출판유통 질서를 파괴하는 폭풍이 남쪽으로부터 거세게 밀려들고 있다. 도서정가제 파괴 바람의 근원지는 부산을 중심으로 하는 경남지역. 이 바람이 기존 인천.경기지역에 발생한 할인판매 저기압과 만나 상승작용을 일으킬 경우 전국은 걷잡을 수 없는 소용돌이 속으로 빠져들지도 모른다. 이에 위기감을 느낀 출판계가 전국 단위의 유통질서 파괴 바람을 막기 위해 안간힘을 쓰는 가운데 젊은 출판인을 중심으로 구체적인 대책마련에 나서 귀추가 주목된다.

This paper focus on power development options for remote islands. Recently, in accordance with progress in distributed generation technologies including renewable energy sources, many options are possible as power development option for island. At first we estimate generation cost by generation technology then recommend and suggest some countermeasures and implementation for institutional improvement.

도서관은 전통적으로 지식과 정보자료를 수집하여 보존하는 기능을 담당해 왔다. 그러나 현대 후기산업사회에 적응하기 위해서는 이러한 전통적 기능 외에 과학기술정보의 신속한 공급은 물론, 개인의 지적 활동과 문화향수 및 여가선용의 극대화를 도모하고, 특히 지역사회 주민들의 문화복지를 증진시키기 위해 도서관 프로그램을 적극적으로 활용토록 자극하는 사회문화적 역할이 더욱 강조돼야 한다. 공공도서관 업무의 문화부이관을 골자로 하는 '도서진흥법'의 시행으로 이제까지와는 전혀 다른 질적 변화의 계기를 맞고 있는 우리 도서관은, 과연 이같은 역할과 과제의 수행을 위해 어떤 노력들을 기울여야 할 것인가. 지난 도서관주간에 열렸던 학술대회에서의 논의를 정리한다.

1970년 5월 14일부터 제9회 전국 도서관대회가 관종별로 4개 지역에서 개최되어 지난 6월 13일 학교 도서관대회를 끝으로 큰 성황리에 대회를 마쳤습니다. 동 대회에 참석한 전국의 도서관인은 도서관이 국가 발전에 있어서 다른 어느 분야보다도 못지않게 중요한 역할을 담당하는 기본적이고 착실한 도구이며, 국가의 정보자원체라는 의견을 재확인하고 오늘 날 조국의 근대화 작업을 수행함에 있어 국가의 기본적인 정보자원체로서의 우리 도서관계가 당면한 문제에 대하여 검토 협의한바 다음의 사항이 해결되어야 하겠다는데 의견을 같이하고 정부관계 요로에 적극적인 조처와 협조가 요망되는 다음의 사항을 건의하오니 적절한 조처가 있으시기를 바라는 바입니다.

One of the major concerns to improve social-wellbeing is uneven spatial distribution of public service. The paper analyses the changes in the geographic distribution of public service facilities over time. The analysis is with a case study about JeollaNamdo Province including Gwangju Metropolitan City, 1985~2005. It employed eighteen proxies in different fields to measure public service and utilized cluster analyses, and various summary statistics including Schutz's coefficient and regression. The results show that overall social well-being has improved during the two decades and the gap between Gwanju City and the major cities in the JeollaNamdo Province has narrowed. However, the disparity between mainland and island areas still persists, calling our attention to the island areas.

The goal of this study is to analyze the feasibility of establishment of the collaborative repository for public libraries in Korea. To that end, its feasibilities were analyzed from the sides of the relevant laws, national policy, library's recognition, and actual collection space. As a result, the feasibility of establishment of the collaborative repository was revealed by enough. Accordingly, based on the this basic research, there is a need to develop immediately the construction and operation model of the collaborative repository. And the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and metropolitan city and province must grant priority of cultural policy in the establishment of the collaborative repository.

Due to the decrease in the school-age population and the overall population, school closures will continue to occur. Currently, most school closures are happening in rural areas, where geographical conditions often result in relatively poor educational, welfare, and cultural facilities compared to urban areas. Additionally, the proportion of elderly populations and migrant women is continuously increasing. In order to effectively utilize closed schools in the future, various efficient utilization methods that align with the social context of the respective regions will be necessary. The purpose of this study is to examine the status of closed school and utilization types in selected rural and island areas of similar sizes through field surveys and literature reviews. By comparing and analyzing these findings, we have identified the predominant utilization types in rural and island areas and assessed the current situation where utilization is lacking. Based on the results, we aim to provide fundamental data for improving and enhancing the utilization of school closures in the face of the ongoing decline in the school-age population.
