This article investigates and reviews the general current status of cooperative cataloging systems for books in Korea, including UNICAT of KERIS, KOLIS-NET of The National Library of Korea, UNION DB of KISTI, and analyzes some particular problems using specific examples from those systems.

최근 들어 컴퓨터 산업과 정보화 사회의 발달은 많은 정보 이용자들에게 편리함을 주고 있으며 온라인 정보소스와 정보 이용자 수는 인터넷과 통신기술의 확산으로 급속히 증가하고 있다. 이러한 상황 변화는 정보시스템간의 통합을 요구하며 특히 도서 검색 시스템 통합에 많은 영향을 주었으며 웹을 기반으로 하는 도서검색 서비스는 여러 지역의 도서 자료 통합이 절실하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 웹을 기반으로 하여 하나의 인터페이스를 통하여 여러 도서 검색 서비스를 통합할 수 있는 통합 전자 도서 검색 시스템을 설계, 구현하였다.

규장각이 소장하고 있는 모든 한국본도서는 "규장각도서한국본종합목록" "규장각한국본도서해제"의 편찬과 간행으로 그 정리작업이 일단락된 바 있다. 이 "목록"가 "해제"의 발간에 힘입어 주목할 만한 연구성과들이 꾸준하게 이어질 수 있었거니와, 그런 점에서 이제 문제는 자료의 정리라기보다는 '활용'에 있다. 이를 위해 현재 규장각에서는 정리된 자료를 영인하여 간행하는 일을 진행하고 있는데, 국고지원이 충분치 않아 그 성과는 지지부진한 편이다. 다행히 최근들어 대기업의 기부금 희사가 이뤄지고 있어 부족한 예산과 인력으로 어려운 살림을 꾸려가는 규장각에 큰 힘이 되고 있다.

This study intends to analyze the acquisition process in public libraries. It specifically attempts to survey the collection development policy, staff structure of acquisition departments, overall process of book purchasing, conclusion of contract for book purchasing and discount rate of book. Data are drawn from a survey with 315 public libraries in the country. As a conclusion, this study discusses such as current situation in book purchases in public libraries and possible impetus toward a better collection development process.

The purpose of this study is to Investigate the factors haying an Influence on activating the Interlibrary loan between national university libraries. Data were collected by and questionnaires. To analyze the factors activating the Interlibrary loan, 1-test and regression analysis method Is adopted depending on the type of data collected. The findings of the study shows that the interlibrary loan can be more actively performed in the group of libraries to focus the subject background on library and Information science than the other group the number of lending cases is highly affected by collection size. the number of periodical titles, annually increased number of collections and periodical titles. Otherwise the number of borrowing cases is much less affected than the number of lending cases by the above factors : the interlibrary loan can be more actively conducted in the group of libraries using facsimile or PC than the other group.
