This study tries to develop and testify the structural equation model(SEM) for customer satisfaction of information commons in digital library(NDL) of the National Library of Korea and to calculate library customer satisfaction index (LCSI) based both on customers' perceptions and the staff members' expectations. It also compares the customers' perceptions with the staff members' expectations about service quality, satisfaction, and loyalty. Full mediation model is better fit than partial mediation model for this study, and it is proved that this model can be used for both groups. This study calculate LCSI for the information commons as 75.69. The comparison the customers' perceptions with the staff members' expectations shows that all of the figures of the former are higher than those of the latter.

The National Library of Korea, Sejong, which celebrates its 10th anniversary, has been performing the duties of a specialized library for policy information while also serving as a public library for Sejong citizens. However, there are concerns about whether it is desirable for the National Library of Korea, Sejong, to continue to provide both policy information services and public library services simultaneously. In order to establish the identity of the National Library of Korea, Sejong, and strengthen its core competencies and services, a prior investigation of the current status and stakeholder groups is necessary. This study diagnosed the current status of the National Library of Korea, Sejong, and conducted a SWOT analysis, and then surveyed and analyzed stakeholders (National Library of Korea, Sejong, employees and relevant policy agency employees) related to policy information services to identify the library's core role and identity, and perception of policy information services. Based on this, this study presented ways to improve the library's core competencies and future direction as a specialized library for policy information.

In this study, the actual condition in operating Information Disclosure System and University Information Disclosure was investigated and analyzed for 413 universities which had their own homepages out of the total 414 universities, which were the targets of university information disclosure in 2008. To activate Information Disclosure System of the academic library, how to use Korea Library Statistics Items and National Libraries Operation Assessment Index as the standard of information disclosure, and how to use a national library statistics system effectively were suggested. In addition, to make University Information Disclosure efficient, the amendments about the status of books holdings and library budget were respectively suggested so that the items and contents of disclosure about the status of library support might be disclosed by focusing on the security of finance and the improvement of the academic library. In order to enhance the interest of universities and in society and policy, it is necessary for the academic library to make use of Information Disclosure System and University Information Disclosure as a major means.

Most people choose Internet search engine first more than the library for their information search in these days. Many users do not know library homepage's content. How to improve the users in library homepage? This study aims to suggest the direction of library homepage service in Web 2.0. For this study the author analyzed library homepage that is introducing some representative Web 2.0 and other Web 2.0 sites. AJAX, RSS, Open API, MashUp, Wikis, Blog are the main technologies in Web 2.0. Those technologies become a tool that can do user centered library homepage. But, more important thing is information production that introduce to users. Web 2.0 suggests good information transfer for users. It needs to produce the information that stimulates the library user. It means that Web 2.0 give a good opportunity for libraries as an information production.

Collection and provision of information for local community by public libraries is a very important task as an infrastructure facility of local community. Therefore, in order to suggest a plan to invigorate community information service of public libraries, this study conducted a survey on users' recognition on and demand for community information service of public libraries which libraries and user perceive. Based on this survey, this study suggested a plan for invigoration of community information service of public libraries through diversification of point of contact for use of community information, development of community information contents reflecting user demand, organization of consultative councils for community information service centering on public libraries, improvement of recognition and vitalization of use of public libraries.

This study aims to reveal the problems of the education of library management area in library and information science and to seek possible methods for solving the problems. It was revealed that the number of subjects of library management area was often changed by the influence of information science. It was also disclosed that the education of library management does not satisfy what the librarians' demand. The study provides the following suggestions for the better education of library management: first, the establishment of the standardization of library and information science curriculum which includes the provision of the number, title and contents of the subjects of library management and secondly, close cooperation with librarians when opening new subjects of library management area.

Academic libraries are at a turning point. Historically academic libraries were the natural destination for students, faculty, and researchers seeking information. These users came to the library by default. Academic libraries served as the repository for published information as well as the intermediary for acquiring material from the outside world. In this study, suggested are directions of academic library websites construction and current techniques related library 2.0 that could be applied digital information system of academic libraries. And discussed the recent status, problems and future directions of scholarly information service through websites supporting lecture and research prefect activities for faculties in Korean university libraries.
