  • 강원도 양양군 서면 범부리. 이곳은 39가구가 모여 사는 산골마을로, 높은 산 위에서 마을을 내려다보면 범선모양으로 생겼다하여 '범부리'라는 이름이 붙여졌다고 전해지고 있다. 이곳은 (주)한양의 고속국도 제60호선 동홍천~양양간 건설 공사 16공구 현장이 위치해 있는 곳이기도 하다. 현장소장을 비롯해 15명의 직원들이 가족 같은 화기애애한 분위기 속에서 무재해 현장을 달성하기 위해 분주히 노력하고 있다.

  • 최근 우수한 안전관리로 유명한 주요 건설사들이 각자의 안전역량을 겨루는 자리가 마련돼 화제가 됐다. 그것은 바로 한국도로공사가 개최한 '제1회 전국 건설안전 경진대회'였다. 이 자리에는 대우건설, 현대산업개발, 대림산업, 포스코건설, GS건설, 한화건설 등 내로라하는 건설사들이 대거 참여해 자사가 자랑하는 안전관리기법과 기술을 소개했다. 우열을 가리기 힘든 치열한 경합 끝에 대회 최우수상인 고용노동부 장관상의 영예는 대우건설 동홍천~양양간 고속도로 14공구 현장이 차지했다. 본지는 이곳 현장의 안전관리를 이끌고 있는 박성환 안전팀장을 만나 그만의 안전철학과 안전관리 비법 등에 대해 이야기를 나누어봤다.

Analysis of Road Construction Projects' Escalation under Historical Data-Based Estimate System in Jeju (실적공사비가 적용된 제주도 도로공사의 물가변동률 영향 분석)

  • This study has conducted case studies in order to suggest alternatives to the historical data-based estimate system. Price fluctuation calculation methods based on historial cost indexes, standard estimate and construction cost indexes were applied to 9 road construction sites in Jeju for an analysis. As a result, in 5 construction sites (about 56% of 9 sites), the index control rate calculated based upon historical data-based estimate system was higher than that calculated based upon standard estimate and construction cost indexes. Thus the establishment of the requirements for the adjustment of contract price due to price fluctuation delays, which leads to a significant difference in price fluctuation amount. And, in an analysis of construction cost indexes, the indexes for road construction were used for calculating index control rate which ranges from 2.0 to 9.4 percent, indicating the time of construction amount and price fluctuation application has a significant influence on index control rate.

  • According to the economic growth, many highways are constructed for increasing need of better life style. Especially roads and roadside facilities are used for accident prevention and offering mobility for drivers. For these purpose, roads and roadside facilities should be well maintained and managed. Now, many roads and roadside facilities are constructed in many areas. Because of traditional surveying method requires much time and surveying efforts, we designed and developed mobile mapping system for highway maintenance and management purpose using multi sensors. We tested our mobile mapping system and data management process. Using developed database, road managers can easily check the information of facility conditions, positions, and attributes. We are expecting low cost and efficient road maintenance process by using our system.

  • The digitalization of tasks for smart construction requires the smooth exchange of digital data among stakeholders to be effective, but there is a lack of digital data standardization and utilization methods. This paper proposes a digital construction information structure to transform information from road construction sites into digital formats. The study targets include significant tasks, such as work planning, scheduling, safety management, and quality control. The key to the construction information structure is separating construction information into objects and activities, defining unit works by combining these two types of information to ensure flexibility in representing and modifying construction information. The objects and activities have their respective hierarchical structures, which are defined flexibly to match the actual content. This structure achieves both efficiency and detail. The pilot structure was applied to highway construction projects and implemented digitally using general formats. This study enables the digitalization of road construction processes that closely resemble reality, accelerating the digital transformation of the civil engineering industry by developing a digital twin of the entire road construction lifecycle.

  • 내전 후 전쟁 상처를 복구 중에 있는 이라크는 주택, 인프라, 사회 서비스망 구축의 필요에 따라 지난 2010년 이라크 기획청(Ministry of Planning, MOP)이 이라크의 삶의 질 개선을 위한 국가개발계획(Iraq National Development Plan, 2010 ~ 2014)을 수립하고 15개 주정부와 쿠르드 자치정부 지역에 100만호 주거 시설 제공을 위한 국가 주택 프로그램을 발표했다. 이에 따라 2017년까지 주택과 교통인프라, 에너지, IT, 의료, 보안 등에 걸쳐 총 2,750억불(약 300조원)을 이라크 재건사업에 투자할 계획이다. 또 2030년까지는 에너지 분야에 5,000억불 투자 등 정유공장, 발전소, 도로, 인프라, 공공시설 및 군시설 등 다양한 분야에 최소 7,000억불에 달하는 예산을 투입할 예정이다. 한화건설은 지난 2012년 80억 달러 규모의 이라크 비스마야 신도시 건설공사를 수주해 우리나라 해외건설 역사상 최대 규모의 프로젝트 기록을 세웠다. 또한 이 계약으로 우리나라 해외건설 누적 수주액 5,000억 달러 돌파에 크게 기여했다. 윤창기공(주)(대표 백종윤)는 비스마야 현장에서 PC 플랜트 현장의 기계설치공사와 하우징 현장의 기계설비 및 소방공사를 담당하고 있다. 본지는 이라크 현장에 있는 윤창기공(주) 정몽준 소장과 김용우 소장을 이메일로 만나 보았다.

  • Better understanding of in-situ mechanical behavior of pavement foundations is very important to predict long-term effects on the system performance of transport infrastructure. For this purpose resilient stiffness characterization of geomaterials is needed to properly adopt such mechanistic analysis under both traffic and environmental loadings. In this paper in-situ monitoring data from KHC test road were used to analyze the non-linear response using finite element method for a selected constitutive model of foundation geomaterials, and the results were compared with the field data.

  • Underground construction for traffic networks, complexes, and storage facilities has risen as an effective land use plan for dealing with emerging problems such as overcrowded urban cities and traffic jams. This paper performed an economic feasibility analysis of the development of the integrated field management system which provides field workers and managers with 3D-based location tracking and clear communication during underground construction works. To conduct the analysis, processes and problems of field management for underground construction were analyzed and deduction in accidents and field management costs and productivity improvement were estimated as expected benefits. Based on computed benefits and costs, an economic analysis was conducted using Benefit/Cost ratio(B/C), Net Present Value(NPV), and Internal Rate of Return(IRR) and then sensitivity analysis was performed to cope with the uncertainty of assumed variables.

Application Method of Remote Site Monitoring in Public Road Construction Projects (공공 도로건설사업에서의 원격 현장모니터링 적용방안에 관한 연구)

  • The public road construction projects awarded by the regional construction and management office, which is an affiliate of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, are managed by construction supervision officers. These officials frequently visit a large number of construction sites to conduct inspections and supervision tasks. Therefore, the site management efficiency is essential in terms of the time and money spent in travelling to the sites. The introduction of a site monitoring management system is considered necessary to minimize the number of site visits and enable remote monitoring of the construction progress to enhance the business efficiency of the construction supervision officers. In this study, a remote site monitoring system was constructed using web cameras for public road construction works. The trial applications were implemented by selecting ten constructions sites. The effectiveness of the system was analyzed to assess its applicability. In an assessment of the applicability of the verification results, remote site monitoring showed cost savings of approximately 35% compared to the existing site management. The guidelines for applying the site monitoring management system were provided, the introduction plan was investigated, and the improvement method was presented. The results showed that the system is likely to minimize the unnecessary site visits, remove the risk factors at vulnerable areas in the sites beforehand, and prevent a range of disasters and accidents. In addition, the quality of the infrastructures is likely to improve through the prevention of accidents and the elimination of substandard and faulty construction work.
