Learning Performance Improvement of Fuzzy RBF Network (퍼지 RBF 네트워크의 학습 성능 개선)

  • 본 논문에서는 퍼지 RBF 네트워크의 학습 성능을 개선하기 위하여 Delta-bar-Delta 알고리즘을 적용하여 학습률을 동적으로 조정하는 개선된 퍼지 RBF 네트워크를 제안한다. 제안된 학습 알고리즘은 일반화된 델타 학습 방법에 퍼지 C-Means 알고리즘을 결합한 방법으로, 중간층의 노드를 자가 생성하고 중간층과 출력충의 학습에는 일반화된 델타 학습 방법에 Delta-bar-Delta 알고리즘을 적용하여 학습률을 동적으로 조정하여 학습 성능을 개선한다. 제안된 RBF 네트워크의 학습 성능을 평가하기 위하여 컨테이너 영상에서 추출한 40개의 식별자를 학습 데이터로 적용한 결과, 기존의 ART2 기반 RBF 네트워크와 기존의 퍼지 RBF 네트워크 보다 학습 시간이 적게 소요되고, 학습의 수렴성이 개선된 것을 확인하였다.

  • This paper proposes a method of designing and controlling delta robots with low-cost DC motors, which are widely used in the automation process. Simulation was performed by interpreting the mechanics and dynamics of the delta robot, and based on this analysis, low-cost DC motor was selected. Experiments were conducted to obtain characteristic values of motors and the current-position cascade control system was designed and implemented. In order to verify the feasibility of the proposed system, the experiment to check that the end-effector of the delta robot follows the target path was progressed. Through the experiment, the limitations of using low-cost motors were overcome by designing compensation algorithms and the performance of the position control was verified.

  • 실시간 운영체제 iRTOS는 타이머의 관리 기법으로 시간결정성을 위한 델타 프로세싱을 사용하고 있다. 델타 프로세싱은 타이머들 사이의 시간차로써 타이머를 관리하기 때문에 타이머의 삽입 시 해당 타이머가 삽입 될 위치를 찾는 데 있어 오버헤드가 발생한다. 이 오버헤드를 줄이기 위한 방법으로 타이머들 간의 상대적인 시간이 아닌 각 타이머의 절대적인 시간으로써 타이머들을 관리하는 방법이 있다. 본 논문에서는 절대적인 시간을 이용하여 타이머들을 관리하는 기법인 타이밍 휠을 설계 및 구현하였다.

  • 최근의 추세를 볼 때 위험관리에 관한 중요성이 점점 증대하고 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 우리나라 은행들의 위험관리 실태는 아직 미흡한 실정이다. 그리고 대부분의 은행들이 현재 위험관리에 대응하기 위하여 ALM의 갭관리, 듀레이션관리 등을 행하고 있지만 BIS에서 중요시하고 있는 VaR의 개발과 운용은 아직 초보단계에 있다. 한국 주식포트폴리오에서 몬테카를로 시뮬레이션과 Full Variance Covariance Model의 VaR값은 비슷한 수준으로 Diagonal Model 의 VaR값 보다 작음을 알 수 있다. 이는 좀 더 정교한 계산이 요구되는 Full Variance Covariance Model의 VaR값이 보다 단순한 Diagonal Model의 VaR값 보다 정확성면에서 우수하다는 것을 보여주고 있다. 한편 이자율포트폴리오 의 경우에는 델타-감마 분석법과 몬테카를로 시뮬레이션의 경우 95% 신뢰구간의 VaR는 델타-감마 분석법이 작지만 99% 신뢰구간에서의 VaR는 몬테카를로 시뮬레이션방법이 작다는 것을 알 수 있다. 그래서 어느 한 가지 방법에 의한 VaR추정치가 가장 좋은 것이라고 단정하기 어려움을 알 수 있었다.

A Blind Segmentation Algorithm for Speaker Verification System (화자확인 시스템을 위한 분절 알고리즘)

  • This paper proposes a delta energy method based on Parameter Filtering(PF), which is a speech segmentation algorithm for text dependent speaker verification system over telephone line. Our parametric filter bank adopts a variable bandwidth along with a fixed center frequency. Comparing with other methods, the proposed method turns out very robust to channel noise and background noise. Using this method, we segment an utterance into consecutive subword units, and make models using each subword nit. In terms of EER, the speaker verification system based on whole word model represents 6.1%, whereas the speaker verification system based on subword model represents 4.0%, improving about 2% in EER.

  • G.723.1은 저 전송률 환경에서 고 음질을 제공하여 주고 있으나 CELP형 부호화기가 갖는 합성에 의한 분석(Analysis by Synthesis)방식의 구조로 인해 많은 처리 시간과 계산량을 요구하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 G.723.1에 대해 NAMDF함수를 적용하여 델타 피치 검색과정의 계산량을 줄여 부호화기의 전체 계산량을 감소시키는 방법을 제안하였다. 기존의 피치 검출 알고리즘에서 피치 검출을 위해 사용하고 있는 자기상관함수는 곱셈 연산에서 발생하는 bit의 dynamic range가 커서 나눗셈 연산에서도 과도한 연산량을 필요로 한다. 따라서, 이러한 계산량의 감소를 위해 기존의 자기상관함수 대신 계산량을 감소하기 위하여 NAMDF 방법을 적용하였고 추가된 skipping 기법을 사용하였다. 계산량 감소율 측면에서는 약 $64\%$의 감소율을 보였고 기존의 방법과 제안한 방법간의 피치 pitch contour은 원음성의 피치 contour와 유사하였고, 음질 평가에서도 기존의 G.723.1 부호화기 합성음과 유사한 길과를 얻을 수 있었다.

Multidimensional Ring-Delta Network: A High-Performance Fault-Tolerant Switching Networks (다차원 링-델타 망: 고성능 고장감내 스위칭 망)

  • In this paper, a high-performance fault-tolerant switching network using a deflection self-routing was proposed. From an abstract algebraic analysis of the topological properties of the Delta network, which is a baseline switching network, we derive the Multidimensional Ring-Delta network: a multipath switching network using a deflection self-routing algorithm. All of the links including already existing links of the Delta network are used to provide the alternate paths detouring faulty/congested links. We ran a simulation analysis under the traffic loads having the non-uniform address distributions that are usual in Internet. The throughput of $1024\;{\times}\;1024$ switching network proposed is better than that of the 2D ring-Banyan network by 13.3 %, when the input traffic load is 1.0 and the hot ratio is 0.9. The reliability of $64\;{\times}\;64$ switching network proposed is better than that of the 2D ring-Banyan network by 46.6%.

  • From the perspective of risk management, financial organization that have issued ELW require an efficient hedging methodology due to recently increased trade volume of ELW. This study presents an ELW hedging methodology using artificial neural network(ANN) to minimize hedging costs. The performance of the presented methodology in this study is examined by analysis utilizing the prices and volatilities of underlying assets, risk free interest rates, and maturities and computational experiments show that the proposed method is superior to existing dynamic delta hedging(DDH) technique in terms of hedging costs ranged from 25% to 250%.

  • The equalization algorithm based on the cross-information potential concept and Dirac-delta functions (CIPD) has outstanding ISI elimination performance even under impulsive noise environments. The main drawback of the CIPD algorithm is a heavy computational burden caused by the use of a block processing method for its weight update process. In this paper, for the purpose of reducing the computational complexity, a new method of the gradient calculation is proposed that can replace the double summation with a single summation for the weight update of the CIPD algorithm. In the simulation results, the proposed method produces the same gradient learning curves as the CIPD algorithm. Even under strong impulsive noise, the proposed method yields the same results while having significantly reduced computational complexity regardless of the number of block data, to which that of the e conventional algorithm is proportional.

  • Objectives: Nasal continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) corrected elevated blood pressure (BP) in some studies of obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) but not in others. Such inconsistent results in previous studies might be due to differences in factors influencing the effects of CPAP on BP. The factors referred to include BP monitoring techniques, the characteristics of subjects, and method of CPAP application. Therefore, we evaluated the effects of one night CPAP application on BP and heart rate (HR) reactivity using non-invasive beat-to-beat BP measurement in normotensive and hypertensive subjects with OSAS. Methods: Finger arterial BP and oxygen saturation monitoring with nocturnal polysomnography were performed on 10 OSAS patients (mean age $52.2{\pm}12.4\;years$; 9 males, 1 female; respiratory disturbance index (RDI)>5) for one baseline night and another CPAP night. Beat-to-beat measurement of BP and HR was done with finger arterial BP monitor ($Finapres^{(R)}$) and mean arterial oxygen saturation ($SaO_2$) was also measured at 2-second intervals for both nights. We compared the mean values of cardiovascular and respiratory variables between baseline and CPAP nights using Wilcoxon signed ranks test. Delta ($\Delta$) BP, defined as the subtracted value of CPAP night BP from baseline night BP, was correlated with age, body mass index (BMI), baseline night values of BP, BP variability, HR, HR variability, mean $SaO_2$ and respiratory disturbance index (RDI), and CPAP night values of TWT% (total wake time%) and CPAP pressure, using Spearman's correlation. Results: 1) Although increase of mean $SaO_2$ (p<.01) and decrease of RDI (p<.01) were observed on the CPAP night, there were no significant differences in other variables between two nights. 2) However, delta BP tended to increase or decease depending on BP values of the baseline night and age. Delta systolic BP and baseline systolic BP showed a significant positive correlation (p<.01), but delta diastolic BP and baseline diastolic BP did not show a significant correlation except for a positive correlation in wake stage (p<.01). Delta diastolic BP and age showed a significant negative correlation (p<.05) during all stages except for REM stage, but delta systolic BP and age did not. 3) Delta systolic and diastolic BPs did not significantly correlate with other factors, such as BMI, baseline night values of BP variability, HR, HR variability, mean SaO2 and RDI, and CPAP night values of TWT% and CPAP pressure, except for a positive correlation of delta diastolic pressure and TWT% of CPAP night (p<.01). Conclusions: We observed that systolic BP and diastolic BP tended to decrease, increase or remain still in accordance with the systolic BP level of baseline night and aging. We suggest that BP reactivity by CPAP be dealt with as a complex phenomenon rather than a simple undifferentiated BP decrease.
