  • 전력선 통신 채널에는 특징적으로 충격 잡음이 존재하며, 전력선 통신 시스템의 성능 열화에도 많은 영향을 준다. 이는 일반적인 배경 잡음에 비해 많게는 수십 dB 이상의 레벨을 가지면서, 임의 시간적으로 발생함으로써 추정 및 제어 또한 어렵기 때문이며, 전력선 통신 시스템이 Mbps급으로 고속화 되면서 주파수 대역이 확장되고, 확장된 대역상에 다중 반송파를 이용하여 대용량의 데이터를 전송하는 변복조기법들이 적용됨에 따라, 시간 영역에서 비교적 짧은 시간 동안 존재하는 충격 잡음이 주파수 영역에서 사용 주파수 전체 대역상에 영향을 줌으로써 시스템 전체 성능 저하의 큰 요인이 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 충격 잡음이 고속 전력선 통신 시스템에서 사용되는 OFDM(또는 DMT) 방식 수신기의 복조기 출력단 SNR에 미치는 영향을 분석 및 단순화하고, 시뮬레이션을 통해 검증한다.

  • Space systems are operating in a changing and uncertain space environment and are desired to have autonomous capability for long periods of time without frequent telecommunications from the ground station At the same time. requirements for new set of projects/systems calling for ""autonomous"" operations for long unattended periods of time are emerging. Since, by the nature of space systems, it is desired that they perform their mission flawlessly and also it is of extreme importance to have fault-tolerant sensor/actuator sub-systems for the purpose of validating science measurement data for the mission success. Technology innovations attendant on autonomous data validation and health monitoring are articulated for a growing class of autonomous operations of space systems. The greatest need is on focus research effort to the development of a new class of fault-tolerant space systems such as attitude actuators and sensors as well as validation of measurement data from scientific instruments. The characterization for the next step in evolving the existing control processes to an autonomous posture is to embed intelligence into actively control. modify parameters and select sensor/actuator subsystems based on statistical parameters of the measurement errors in real-time. This research focuses on the identification/demonstration of critical technology innovations that will be applied to Autonomous Spacecraft Health Monitoring/Data Validation Control Systems (ASHMDVCS).   • RFID 기술은 기존의 바코드 기술보다 발전된 무선의 비접촉 인식 기술로서, 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅의 핵심기술로 간주되고 있다. RFID 태그는 기존의 단순한 사물의 인식 기능 중심에서 사물의 상태 및 환경 정보를 감지할 수 있는 센서 태그로의 발전으로 물류 프로세스의 양적, 질적 향상을 도모할 수 있게 되었다. 센서 태그는 환경 정보를 센싱하기 위하여 배터리를 내장하고 있으며, RF Transceiver의 내장 유무에 따라 자체적으로 신호를 보낼 수 있는 active 센서 태그와 리더로부터의 신호를 사용하는 semi-passive 센서 태그로 구분된다. Semi-passive 센서 태그는 배터리를 부착함으로써 passive 태그에 비해 인식률과 인식거리가 향상되었고 active 태그에 비해 단가가 매우 저렴하여 센서 태그가 부착된 물품의 상태를 모니터링하고 환경을 감시하는 다양한 응용에 사용될 수 있다. 이러한 응용의 요구에 따라 Edge Manager는 기존의 passive 태그는 물론 센서 태그를 지원함으로써 상위 응용에게 정제된 결과를 전달할 필요성이 있다. 본 논문에서는 특히 semi-passive 센서 태그를 지원하는 Edge Manager의 설계를 위하여, 센서를 사용한 또 다른 활용 분야인 센서 네트워크에서의 질의 유형을 분석하고, semi-passive 센서 태그의 특징을 고려한 요구사항을 분석한다. Semi-passive 센서 태그는 센서 네트워크의 센서 노드와는 달리 태그 레벨에서 필터링과 병합을 수행할 수 없으므로 Edge Manager에서 이러한 기능이 제공되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 Edge Manager에서의 센서 태그 데이터에 대한 질의를 위한 방법으로 EPCglobal ALE 표준명세의 ECSpec을 확장하는 방법을 제안하고, 센서 태그 데이터의 특성을 고려한 필터링 기법과 병합(aggregation) 기법을 적용한 질의 처리가 가능한 Edge Manager의 구조를 제시한다.

  • Despite the development of the Internet, both in terms of technology and coverage, there are still remote areas and scenarios where connectivity is very difficult to achieve. Pocket Switched Network is a network paradigm that takes the advantage of human mobility to disseminate data. Factors such as mobility of nodes, link failures, discharged batteries, are among the challenges that may compromise connectivity in these networks. This paper presents a performance analysis of existing routing schemes for PSN in terms of delivery probability, overhead ratio, average latency and average residual energy when the number of nodes is increased. We seek to identify a scheme that maximizes data delivery while minimizing communication overhead and thus extending the network lifetime.

  • Many features of the Single Field version have been enhanced to provide user friendly interface. The County/Watershed version of NAPRA WWW system was further enhanced. The newly developed Web GIS version is an ideal tool for novice users, such as farmers, to simulate the effects of agricultural management for their farms because of its easy-to-use Web GIS interface. The NAPRA WWW system provides an easy to use WWW interface and uses spatial and relational databases to simplify the process of preparing model files. Thus, the NAPRA WWW systems now can be effectively used for nutrient management as well as pesticide management to identify the least impact agricultural management practices.

  • A exisiting recommedation system using association rules has the problem, such as delay of processing speed from a cause of frequent scanning a large data, scalability and accuracy as well. In this paper, using a Implicit method which is not used user's profile for rating, we propose the personalized recommendation system which is a new method using the FP-tree mining based on RFM. It is necessary for us to keep the analysis of RFM method and FP-tree mining to be able to reflect attributes of customers and items based on the whole customers' data and purchased data in order to find the items with high purchasability. The proposed makes frequent items and creates association rule by using the FP-tree mining based on RFM without occurrence of candidate set. We can recommend the items with efficiency, are used to generate the recommendable item according to the basic threshold for association rules with support, confidence and lift. To estimate the performance, the proposed system is compared with existing system. As a result, it can be improved and evaluated according to the criteria of logicality through the experiment with dataset, collected in a cosmetic internet shopping mall.

  • The SDN(Software Defined Networking) technology, which appeared to overcome the limitations of the existing network system, resolves the rigidity of the existing system through the separation of HW and SW in network equipment. These characteristics of SDN provide wide scalability beyond hardware-oriented network equipment, and provide flexible load balancing policies in data centers of various sizes. In the meantime, many studies have been conducted to apply the advantages of SDN to data centers and have shown their effectiveness. The method mainly used in previous studies was to periodically check the server load and perform load balancing based on this. In this method, the more the number of servers and the shorter the server load check cycle, the more traffic increases. In this paper, we propose a new load balancing technique that can eliminate unnecessary traffic and manage server resources more efficiently by reporting to the controller when a specific level of load occurs in the server to solve this limitation.

  • Supporting the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of the information is crucial. The survivability storage systems require to encode and distribute data over multiple storage nodes or data base to survive failures and malicious attacks Information dispersal scheme is one of the most efficient schemes allowing high availability and security with reasonable overhead. In this paper, we propose an algorithm determining the optimal (m, n)-lDS in terms of availability, given a set of IDS's. The proposed algorithm will be very useful for designing a highly available and secure storage system since many factors such as node number, storage space, operation speed, etc. interact with each other and thereby finding an optimal information dispersal scheme is very difficult.

  • This paper presents a fast parallel algorithm for volume rendering and its implementation using C language and MPI MasPar Programming Language) on the 4,096 processor MasPar MP-2 machine. This parallel algorithm is a parallelization hased on the Lacroute' s sequential shear - warp algorithm currently acknowledged to be the fastest sequential volume rendering algorithm. This algorithm reduces communication overheads by using the sheared space partition scheme and the load balancing technique using load estimates from the previous iteration, and the number of voxels to be processed by using the run-length encoded volume data structure.Actual performance is 3 to 4 frames/second on the human hrain scan dataset of $128\times128\times128$ voxels. Because of the scalability of this algorithm, performance of ]2-16 frames/sc.'cond is expected on the 16,384 processor MasPar MP-2 machine. It is expected that implementation on more current SIMD or MIMD architectures would provide 3O~60 frames/second on large volumes.

  • In MANET, it is important to efficiently manage data objects and traffic to improve network throughput and response time. This paper proposes a connection-degree based data object search and replication scheme in mobile ad-hoc networks. In this method, information about the path data object providers is stored at the cache of a cluster header at which lots of queries arrive, so that, to reduce the load of the cluster header, replicas can be created at its neighboring nodes. The method proposes an algorithm that picks up a cluster header among mobile nodes and makes it possible to search for and utilize adaptive and up-to-date information in MANET. The method is expected to be effective since it enables access to data objects in spite of broken links among mobile nodes with an enhancement in network response time of searching and a decrease in communication costs. The efficiency of this system was verified via simulation.
