Development of a Data Bus Analyzer for Avionics Interfaces of Various Types (다종 항공전자 인터페이스를 위한 데이터 버스 분석 장비 개발)

  • This paper describes the development of a data bus analyzer for use in avionics systems integration test. The data bus analyzer is equipped with MIL-STD-1553B, CAN and Ethernet interface cards which is incorporated in a majority of the avionics systems to accommodate a variety of interfaces. It has an individual hardware for a capture engine and a analyzing engine in order to perform the collection and the analysis of the bus data at the same time efficiently. It provides a data display function of the grid, 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional form to increase the data analysis efficiency. Verification of the data bus analyzer was carried out module unit testing and inter-module integration testing on the basis of the test procedures. Verification of interlocking requirement and usefulness of developed equipment was confirmed through an integration test result performed on a system integration laboratory of aircraft which is an actual testing environment.

Algorithm for Correcting Error in Smart Card Data Using Bus Information System Data (버스정보시스템 데이터를 활용한 교통카드 정류장 정보 오류 보정 알고리즘)

  • Smart card data is widely used in the public transportation field. Despite the inevitability of various errors occur during the data collection and storage; however, smart card data errors have not been extensively studied. This paper investigates inherent errors in boarding and alighting station information in smart card data. A comparison smart card data and bus boarding and alighting survey data for the same time frame shows that boarding station names differ by 6.2% between the two data sets. This indicates that the error rate of smart card data is 6.2% in terms of boarding station information, given that bus boarding and alighting survey data can be considered as ground truth. This paper propose 6-step algorithm for correcting errors in smart card boarding station information, linking them to corresponding information in Bus Information System(BIS) Data. Comparing BIS data and bus boarding and alighting survey data for the same time frame reveals that boarding station names correspond by 98.3% between the two data sets, indicating that BIS data can be used as reliable reference for ground truth. To evaluate its performance, applying the 6-step algorithm proposed in this paper to smart card data set shows that the error rate of boarding station information is reduced from 6.2% to 1.0%, resulting in a 5.2%p improvement in the accuracy of smart card data. It is expected that the proposed algorithm will enhance the process of adjusting bus routes and making decisions related to public transportation infrastructure investments.

  • Several shared buses are divided hierarchically and connected with a bridge in the bus topology that consists of many components such as SoCs. Because the bridge topology is capable of the simultaneous communication of components in the several buses, the bus performance has improved definitely. However, when the inter-bus data transaction happens, the latency increases seriously in the bridge block. In this paper, a variety of bridge architectures are analyzed in the point of view of merit and demerit. Superior frying bridge topology is proposed in the aspects of performance, IP reusability, timing margin, gate count and circuit complexity. In contrast with the conventional bridge that has only a role to switch the inter-bus data, the frying bridge can communicate directly between the bus and the slave, which decreases the traffic overhead of a shared bus and improves the performance of a bridge communication.

  • This paper investigates the performance characteristics of the data link layer of the 1996 version of IEC/ISA fieldbus which is developed as internatioal standard of fieldbus. A discrete-event simulation model of the data link layer of IEC/ISA fieldbus is developed. Using the simulation model, this paper identifies the network parameters that influence the performance of prioritys scheme and real-time data transmission, and analyzes the delay performance of IEC/ISA fieldbus with respect to the change of network parameters. The simulation model also integrates continuous-time simulation model of a control system as application process. Using the integrated simulation model, this study investigates the effect of network-induced delay on the performance of control system. Since the simulation model developed in this study can predict the network performance, it will be effectively utilized in the design phase of control and automation systems that adopt the IEC/ISA fieldbus.

  • 열차 통신의 목적은 분산 제어 시스템에서 빠르고 정확한 데이터 교환에 있다. 이를 위하여 개발되고 1999년 IEC와 IEEE에 의해 국제 규격으로 승인된 TCN(Train Communication Network)은 차량간 통신 버스인 WTB(Wired Train Bus)와 차량내 통신 버스인 MVB(Multifunction Vehicle Bus)의 이중 계층 구조로 구성되며 TCN의 데이터 서비스는 프로세스 데이터, 메시지 데이터, 관리용 데이터의 세가지 데이터 서비스로 구분된다. MVB는 전송 가능한 데이터 서비스에 따라 디바이스의 클래스가 나눠지게 된다. 본 논문에서는 MVB에서 버스 마스터의 프레임에 따라 데이터를 보낼 수 있는 슬레이브 컨트롤러의 구성과 시뮬레이션을 통해 구현된 장치의 기능이 국제 표준의 제안사항들을 따르고 있는 지 증명한다.

A Comparative Study on the Social Awareness of Metaverse in Korea and China: Using Big Data Analysis (한국과 중국의 메타버스에 관한 사회적 인식의 비교연구: 빅데이터 분석의 활용 )

  • The purpose of this exploratory study is to compare the differences in public perceptual characteristics of Korean and Chinese societies regarding the metaverse using big data analysis. Due to the environmental impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, technological progress, and the expansion of new consumer bases such as generation Z and Alpha, the world's interest in the metaverse is drawing attention, and related academic studies have been also in full swing from 2021. In particular, Korea and China have emerged as major leading countries in the metaverse industry. It is a timely research question to discover the difference in social awareness using big data accumulated in both countries at a time when the amount of mentions on the metaverse has skyrocketed. The analysis technique identifies the importance of key words by analyzing word frequency, N-gram, and TF-IDF of clean data through text mining analysis, and analyzes the density and centrality of semantic networks to determine the strength of connection between words and their semantic relevance. Python 3.9 Anaconda data science platform 3 and Textom 6 versions were used, and UCINET 6.759 analysis and visualization were performed for semantic network analysis and structural CONCOR analysis. As a result, four blocks, each of which are similar word groups, were driven. These blocks represent different perspectives that reflect the types of social perceptions of the metaverse in both countries. Studies on the metaverse are increasing, but studies on comparative research approaches between countries from a cross-cultural aspect have not yet been conducted. At this point, as a preceding study, this study will be able to provide theoretical grounds and meaningful insights to future studies.

전장품 접속을 위한 UART 시리얼 버스 구현에 대한 평가

  • 위성의 전장품은 전기적 접속을 위해서 1:1 연결을 하는 Point-to-Point 버스 방식과 여러개의 Slave (Remote Terminal)을 갖고, 일반적으로 1개의 Master (Controller)에 의해서 연결하게 되는 버스 구조를 갖는 접속 채널을 통해서 연결이 된다. 가장 많이 사용되는 방식인 MIL-STD-1553B는 데이터 전송속도가 1Mbps이고, Transformer에 의해서 완전하게 버스와 각 전장품이 완전하게 절연이 되는 구조로, 전기적 고장이 전달되는 것을 방지할 수가 있지만, 설계의 난이도가 높다. 고속 버스는 SpaceWire를 사용하고, 100Mbps이상의 속도를 지원할 수가 있지만, LVDS등의 고속 채널 설계 및 노이즈에 민감한 특성 때문에, 저속의 통신채널에서는 사용하기 어렵다. 저속의 데이터 채널을 위해서는 UART 방식이 사용된다. UART 방식은 RS-422 방식과 RS-485 방식이 사용되지만, 1553B 또는 SpaceWire 등과 같이 프로토콜이 정해지지 않아서, 사용자가 직접 프로토콜을 지정해야하는 문제가 있다. 또한 RS-422은 1:1 방식의 Point-to-Point UART를 위해서 사용되고, RS-485는 버스 방식의 연결을 지원할 수가 있지만, 동시에 여러개의 TX가 enable되는 경우에는 TX사이에 고장을 일으킬 수 있어서, 1번에 TX가 1개만 사용되도록 제어할 필요가 있다. 또한 RS-485방식의 버스를 구현할 경우에는 1553B처럼 와전하게 절연이 불가능하므로, 전기적이나 기능적으로 485버스에 문제가 발생할 경우에 절연과 같은 기능이 지원되도록 구현이 되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 안정적인 485 UART버스 구현을 위한 기술에 대해서 평가하고 분석하도록 하겠다.

A Study on the Consumer Perception of Metaverse Before and After COVID-19 through Big Data Analysis (빅데이터 분석을 통한 코로나 이전과 이후 메타버스에 대한 소비자의 인식에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out consumers' perceptions of "metaverse," a newly spotlighted technology, through big data analysis as a non-face-to-face society continues after the outbreak of COVID-19. This study conducted a big data analysis using text mining to analyze consumers' perceptions of metaverse before and after COVID-19. The top 30 keywords were extracted through word purification, and visualization was performed through network analysis and concor analysis between each keyword based on this. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that the non-face-to-face society continued and metaverse emerged as a trend. Previously, metaverse was focused on textual data such as SNS as a part of life logging, but after that, it began to pay attention to virtual reality space, creating many platforms and expanding industries. The limitation of this study is that since data was collected through the search frequency of portal sites, anonymity was guaranteed, so demographic characteristics were not reflected when data was collected.

  • 딥-서버마이크론 기술에서, 버스 상에서의 전력 소모를 최소화하는 것은 가장 중요한 설계 목표들 가운데 하나이다. 전력 소모를 줄이기 위해 일반적으로 사용되고 있는 효과적인 기법들은 근본적으로 데이터 압축 또는 데이터 인코딩을 이용하고 있지만 압축과 인코딩을 모두 사용한 기법은 현재까지 알려져 있지 않다. 본 논문은 버스에서의 데이터 전송 시 발생하는 전력소모량을 크로스톡 지연을 완전히 제거함과 동시에 최대한 줄이는 통합된 데이터 압축 및 인코딩 알고리즘을 제안한다. 전력 소모를 줄이는 문제를 셀프 천이와 크로스-커플된 천이 양에 대한 가중 합을 최소화하는 문제로 형상화하여 풀었으며, 이 과정에서 자주-인용 데이터에 기반한 압축과 셀프-쉴드 인코딩이라는 개념을 활용하였다. 벤치마크를 사용한 실험에서 우리는 제안한 방법을 사용하면, 기존의 순차적인 압축 및 인코딩 적용 방식보다 $7.9\%-39.4\%$ 더 적은 전력 소모를 가짐을 알 수 있었다.
