Design of Modified Deadbeat Digital Controller for Output Voltage Improvement of 3-Phase UPS (3상 UPS의 정전압 출력특성 향상을 위한 개선된 데드비트 디지털 제어기의 설계)

  • 본 논문에서는 무정전전원장치(UPS)에 사용되는 3상 PWM 인버터의 정전압 제어특성 향상을 위해 개선된 형태의 데드비트 제어방식을 제안하고 이의 설계를 수행한다. 일반적으로 UPS는 전압제어 루프 안에 전류제어기를 두는 형태의 이중 제어 루프 구조를 가지며, 빠른 과도응답 제어 특성을 얻기 위해 데드비트 제어기가 많이 적용되어 왔다. 그러나 전압, 전류의 이중 제어구조를 갖는 데드비트 제어기의 경우 동일한 극배치 특성으로 인해 기존의 제어 시스템은 불안정한 측면을 갖게된다. 이러한 제어특성의 개선을 위하여 분리된 극배치를 가지는 제어기구조를 제안하며, 이는 전압제어기 출력으로 1차 지수함수 응답을 사용하는 변형된 형태의 데드비트 제어기로 구성된다. 아울러 부하 변동에 따른 부하전류의 외란성분을 전향보상하기 위하여 전차원 외란 관측기를 설계하고 시뮬레이션 및 실험을 통하여 제안된 시스템의 우수성을 확인한다.

Robust Double Deadbeat Control of Single-Phase UPS Inverter (단상 UPS 인버터의 강인한 2중 데드비트제어)

  • This paper deals with a novel full digital control of the single-phase PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) inviter for UPS(Uninterruptible Power Supp1y). The voltage and current of output filter capacitor as a state variable are the feedback control input. In the proposed scheme a double deadbeat control consisting of minor current control loop and major voltage control loop have been developed In addition, a second order deadbeat currents control which should be exactly equal to its reference in two sampling time without error and overshoot is proposed to remove the influence of the calculation time delay. The load current prediction is achieved to compensate the load disturbance. The simulation and experimental result shows that the proposed system offers an output voltage with THD(Total Harmonic Distortion) less than 5% at a full nonlinear load.

  • To show a retina shape and thickness on the computer monitor, a laser has been used in Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscope(SLO) equipment using the traveling difference. This method requires exact synchronous control of laser traveling in optic system to show a clear 3-dimensional image of retina To obtain this image, this exact synchronism is very important for making the perfect plane scanning. In this study, a high speed and synchronous control of the galvanometer to make 3-dimensional retina image is presented. For the more, deadbeat load torque observer is added to the PI controller for compensation of the position error arisen in the high speed control. As a result, the proposed control system has a robust and precise response against the load torque variation appeared in high speed control. A stability and usefulness are verified by the computer simulation and the experiment.

  • A new control method for precision robust speed control of a PMSM(Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) using load torque observer is presented. Using this system, we can more precisely evacuate of vestibular function. Until now a rotating chair system, so called 2D-stimulator, which has vertical rotate axis is used to make dizziness. However, an inclined rotating chair system witch is called 3D-stimulator is needed to obtain the precise dizziness data. This 3D-stimulator include unbalanced load caused by unbalanced center of mass. In this case, new compensation method is considered to obtain robust speed control using load torque observer. To reduce the effect of this disturbance, we can use dead-beat observer that has high gain. The application of the load to torque observer is published in for position control. However, there is a problem of using speed information such as amplifying effect of noise. Therefore, we can reduce a noise effect by moving average process. The experimental results are depicted in this paper to show the effect of this proposed algorithm.

  • This paper presents a new method of external load disturbance compensation using deadbeat load torque observer and gain compensation by parameter estimator. The response of the permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) follows the nominal plant. The load torque compensation method is composed of a deadbeat observer. To reduce the noise effect, the post-filter implemented by moving average(MA) process is adopted. The parameter compensator with recursive least square method(RLSM) parameter estimator is suggested to make the new system work as same as the name plate system which in used to take gains. The proposed estimator is combined with a high performance load torque observer to resolve the problems. As a result, the proposed control system has a robust and precise system against the load torque and the parameter variation. A stability and usefulness are verified by computer simulation and experiment.

  • This paper presents external load disturbance compensation that used to deadbeat load torque observer and regulation of the compensation gain by parameter estimator. As a result, the response of PMSM follows that of the nominal plant. The load torque compensation method is compose of a dead beat observer that is well-known method. However it has disadvantage such as a noise amplification effect. To reduce of the effect, the post-filter, which is implemented by MA process, is proposed. The parameter compensator with RLSM(recursive least square method) parameter estimator is suggested to increase the performance of the load torque observer and main controller. Although RLSM estimator is one of the most effective methods for online parameter identification, it is difficult to obtain unbiased result in this application. It is caused by disturbed dynamic model with external torque. The proposed RLSM estimator is combined with a high performance torque observer to resolve the problems. As a result, the proposed control system becomes a robust and precise system against the load torque and the parameter variation. A stability and usefulness, through the verified computer simulation and experiment, are shown in this paper.

Design of Deadbeat Controller for DC Motor Driving a Rotational Mechanical System (회전기계 계통을 가동시키는 직류전동기를 위한 데드비트제어기 설계)

  • This paper presents a design method of deadbeat controller for DC motor driving a rotational system with gear. The deadbeat-response design developed for control system of a sampled continuous-data process does not guarantee zero intersampling ripples, but the proposed deadbeat control system that consists of the integral controller and the full-order state observer, and zero-order hold using in continuous systems, has many advantages such as an output response without the ripples and reaching the steady state without error after a given sampling period and faster settling time than the optimal control system in the same sampling period. The results of a case study through matlab simulation are shown that the efficiency of the proposed controller for DC motor driving a rotational system with gear is verified by comparing with optimal controller etc.

  • This paper presents in some detail a discussion of the design of the digital control system without nonlinear elements to exhibit deadbeat performance in response to step inputs. The transfer function of digital dontroller is obtained by calculating the sequence of inputs and outputs of the digital controller for deadbeat performance. Digital controllers are designed for unity feedback multivariable systems by this method, which is well adapted for obtaining a solution by a digital computer.

  • 최근 계통연계형 인버터 시스템에서 고 신뢰 운전이 매우 중요한 과제로 대두되고 있다. 특히 인버터의 고장에 관한 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 계통연계형 인버터에서 직류단 전압 센서의 고장 허용 제어 알고리즘을 제안한다. 직류단 전압의 추정값으로 고장의 발생 시에 허용 제어를 수행한다. 매우 빠른 동특성을 가진 제어기가 요구되는 제안된 알고리즘의 적용을 위해 데드비트 전류제어기를 사용한다. 시뮬레이션을 통해 제안된 알고리즘을 검증한다.

Microcomputer-Based Velocity Control for an Electro-Hydraulic Servo System (마이크로컴퓨터에 의한 전기 유압 서보 시스템의 속도제어)

  • In the microcomputer-based velocity control for an electro-hydraulic servo system, the effects of control methods and control hardware on the performance of the system were investigated. Experiments were carried out with PID and deadbeat controllers using 8 or 16 bit microprocessor and 8 or 12 bit A/D and D/A converters. It is found that the transient response of the system is better with PID controller than with deadbeat controller. When the number of bits of the microprocessor and converters are small, it is also found that amplitude quantization due to limited word-length gives significant effects on transient responses of the system. Analytically predicted step responses are in good agreement with experimental ones.
