  • The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze a kinematic characteristics of throwing performance among born visually impaired, postnatal visually impaired and visually correct people through their kinematic characteristics. Another purpose of this study is to prevent injury and improve blind's exercise leadership and physical abilities. Three video cameras were used and each camera's shooting velocity was 60field/sec. Then the longest thrown pose was collected and analyzed by using Kwon 3D ver. 3.1 program. The results obtained from this study were followings; 1. During release, the fastest speed of ball was visually corrected followed by postnatal visually impaired and then born visually impaired. 2. Visually corrected used wrist joint well and had wide body round range with similar motion patterns, however born visually impaired couldn't do this at all. 3. Visually corrected used waist to lead shoulder at Phase 2 while throwing ball, but some of born visually impaired and postnatal visually impaired couldn't use waist to lead shoulder. 4. Visually corrected looked at the way where ball would go, but blinds couldn't look where ball would go. 5. Not like visually corrected who show similar patterns, born visually impaired showed each different patterns and some postnatal visually impaired showed similar patterns with visually corrected. 6. While throwing ball, visually corrected showed flexible weight-movement, postnatal visually impaired were not good as visually corrected, and born visually impaired couldn't do weight-movement at all. Synthetically, this result showed that throwing motions are affected a lot by the time when people became blind.

  • Monovision is defined as correcting one eye for distance vision and the other eye for near vision. Single-vision contact lenses are used for each eye. The patient selectively suppresses one eye while using the other eye. This study was performed to measure binocular function and patient satisfaction with monovision induced by adding +3.00D to spectacle prescription for distance vision in nonpresbyopic students. This study comprised 144 nonpresbyopic students with monovision induced by adding +3.00D to spectacle prescription. Monovision was induced by undercorrecting the nondominant eye by adding 3.00 diopters for near vision and correcting the dominant eye with emmetropia for distance vision. For research of the binocular function on Monovision. This study was tested the obstacle course, water pouring test, catching and throwing, bead classification including the stereopsis test. These tests were comparative to the normal binocular state. As a results, the stereopsis have a significant reductions in Monovision. There was no significantly difference between monovision group and control group in monovision exercise (obstacle course, water pouring test, catching and throwing, and bead sorting) at near and distance. This study indicates that monovision is an effective and reasonable therapeutic modality for correcting presbyopia. By the application of above methods, this study could be used the student for the practical practice and understand on the Monovison.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of different types of attentional focus(internal focus vs. external focus) on the dart throwing mechanics. Seven expert dart throwing athletes were assigned to an internal focus group and other seven athletes were assigned to an external focus group. Each group was asked to throw dart either under verbal instruction or without instruction. During dart throwing, accuracy(radial error), consistency(bivariate variable error), dart velocity, acceleration, elbow joint ROM, elbow joint angular velocity, EMD(electromechanical delay), iEMG of biceps brachii and triceps brachii, and CI(coactivation index) were collected and analyzed. Nither instruction type nor instruction itself affected in accuracy and consistency. However, in dart velocity and acceleration, there was an interaction between instruction and attentional focus types. Velocity and acceleration increased in the internal condition, where as they decreased in the external condition. The ROM of elbow joint did not affected by instruction and attention type. However, similar to dart velocity and acceleration, angular velocity increased in internal focus group, while it decreased in external focus group. EMG showed no difference with any condition. In conclusion, internal focus is better than external focus for dart throwing.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the pattern change of throwing in baseball after 15 weeks of participation in baseball class, by examining ball speed, trunk and upper body angles. The comparison was with 6 university students that haven't had any experience in baseball. 8 infra red cameras and 2 force platforms were used to collect the data. First, there was an increase in the speed of the ball after the class. Second, there was no significant difference in the allocated phases during the throw before and after class. Third, the release point was lower and more in front. Forth, there was an increase in the knee flexion at the left foot landing and release point. Finally, there was an increase in the maximum shoulder external rotation and pelvis angle. It is recommended that the coordination between the segments should be investigated to improve our understanding of the learning of throwing in future research.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the characteristics of throwing motion in the elementary school students from the developmental point of view. For the purpose of this, total of nine subjects(each of three students in five, third, and first grades) were participated. They were asked to throw the ball as far as they can and the motions were videotaped with the 30frames/sec and 1/500 shutter speed. The successful motions for each subject were selected for three dimensional analysis. The collected data were analyzed using DV express 1.0 and Kwon3D 3.0 softwares. The results obtained from this study were as follows; 1. Total time for the throwing motion of the first grade was longer than that of the fifth and third grades. 2. The resultant displacement and velocity of COM for the fifth and third grades were greater than that of the frist grade. 3. The first grade tended to flex the trunk forward excessively during the throwing motion. 4. The fifth grade tended to place the upper arm close to the sagital plane and move the forearm and hand freely. 5. Looking at the greater variability of the angular velocity of the hand segment, the fifth grade seemed to have faster and more flexible movement of the wrist. 6. There were somewhat differences in the patterns and magnitudes of ground reaction forces among the different grades.

  • We use a coin or the game of Rock-Paper Scissors before the main game to determine which team will begin first. And we can use effectively the game of Rock-Paper Scissors to choose one of the two or one of many. Two teams may consist of different number of players. In this paper we consider a rule that after each game if the winners consist of only one team then the team wins or the winners continue the next game till the winning team is decided. According to this rule we find the means and variances of the total number of games till the winning team is decided.

  • Purpose In this study, 45 students were divided into task - oriented group, task - oriented intermittent group, and continuous group, and the effect of each variable on learning was changed to angle of the arms' we checked. Methods This study was conducted for 45 days from March 13 to 18, 2017 for five days in the 20 generals living in Changwon city. Dart and goniometer were used for the measurement. In the exercise program, darts were placed on a smooth, hard surface of 1.5M height and the distance to the subject was set 1.5m away. In the dart throw practice, all three groups were marked with an elbow flexion $30^{\circ}$ on the wall, and the subjects were instructed to throw the dart at that point. Results Comparisons between groups showed significant differences between the continuous task-oriented training group and the intermittent task-oriented training group and the control group at the end of training (*** P <0.001). Conclusion This study showed that the intermittent task-oriented training method showed the highest effect (*** P <0.001), which proved that the intermittent method is the most effective exercise method among the three groups.

  • The purpose of this study was to provide information about kinematic variables of the gliding and delivery motion of Hyung-Keun Lee, a high school shot putter who was ranked 1st at the 2011 National Sports Festivals. Three-Dimensional motion analysis using a system of 4 video cameras at a sampling frequency of 60 Hz was conducted during shot-putting events at the 2011 National Sports Festivals. During the gliding and delivery phase of the player the results showed following characteristics; 1) The gliding technique types of the player appeared to be the short-long technique as the gliding and stance length ratio were $42.3{\pm}3.87$ % and $57.7{\pm}3.87$ %, respectively. In addition, the trajectory of shots during the gliding and delivery phase showed different trajectory patterns with "S-shaped" type of elite players due to the deviation from a central axis of the APSS (athletic-plus shot system). 2) The horizontal velocity of COG made from gliding should maintain the velocity during transition and release phase, but the player showed a small momentum for a gradual decrease of velocity. 3) Therefore, the player requires to adjust an appropriate ratio between gliding and stance length with a strong muscle power at the trunk, throwing arm, and the lower extremity during gliding and delivery phase.

  • In this paper, we attempt to realize the diversity of human actions in a virtual world in terms of the basic actions. We utilize the comprehensive knowledge structure of ontology to organize the human actions into an action hierarchy, each action being the root action of its associated hierarchy of specialized actions. Each basic action is implemented by composing the primitive motions and each basic action in turn by reusing those basic actions. Our approach to the development of these actions is focused more on their diversity and brevity than on their visual realism. Based on this design we develop a method to grasp virtual humans' characteristics and reflect those characteristics on their respective action patterns. We also present a mechanism for the agents to adapt their motions to diverse qualitative changes in environment. We apply these methods to such basic actions as walk, run and throw to demonstrate their viability.
