정보서비스와 업무의 무인·자동화를 통해 대중들이 쉽게 이용할 수 있도록 공공장소에 설치한 무인단말기를 말한다. 그러나 현재의 키오스크는 정보의 방대함과 선택의 다양성으로 어렵고 복잡하다. 이러한 키오스크 사용상 단점을 극복하기 위하여 AI 기반 대화형 인터페이스 웨이터 로봇을 개발하였다.

최근에 인터넷 사용량이 증가함에 따라 자료의 양은 많아지고, 서비스 방식도 복잡해지는 문제가 생겨나게 되었다. 그에 따른 해결방안으로 P2P(Peer-to-Peer) 모델은 2000년대에 들어서 다시 컴퓨터 산업 무대의 중심으로 자리 잡게 되었다. 지금까지 잘 알려져 있는 클라이언트/서버 모델은 계속적으로 증가하고 있는 사용자와의 통신 수요에 대한 문제가 있다. 그렇기 때문에 P2P 모델은 이러한 구조에서 벗어나 사용자들 간의 직접적인 정보 교환을 가능하게 해주어 서버의 역할을 최소화 시켜 주었다. 이러한 이점 때문에 현재 많은 기업체들이 P2P 모델을 클라이언트/서버 모델 이상으로 선호하게 되었다. 자바를 이용해서 개발한 P2P용 메신저 통합 서비스에는 기존의 상대방과의 대화뿐만 아니라 파일 공유, 자료의 업/다운, 멀티미디어 채팅으로 상대방의 얼굴을 보며 대화를 할 수 있는 화상채팅 기능이 있고, 친구들을 쉽게 정리하여 사용자만이 관리를 할 수 있는 공유그룹과 폐쇄그룹을 추가하여 보안에 대비 하였다. 또 키워드 검색, 메타 검색으로 더 많은 자료를 손쉽게 찾을 수가 있다. 시스템 상에 XML, 웹 서버, WAP 게이트웨이 서버를 탑재하였고, 가상의 네트워크인 VPN 사용, 그리고 DB를 사용한 회원관리 및 여러 가지 서비스를 제공한다. 향후 P2P 기술은 P2P 검색, P2P 커뮤니케이션, 무선인터넷관련 기술, XML을 이용한 표준통합기술의 발전으로 더욱 침체된 시장에 활력소 역할을 할 것이다.

2022년 기준, 독거노인 가구 수 176만 가구 시대에 노인을 위한 케어 서비스가 필요하다. 고령화 사회에 맞춰, 노인 케어 서비스가 많이 출시되었으나 비대면 케어 서비스는 부족한 면이 있다. 비대면 케어 서비스의 경우, 특히 비싼 값에 판매된다는 단점과 로봇과 소통해야 한다는 단점이 있다. 이를 보완하여 저렴한 가격에 생명력을 지닌 식물을 이용해 소통을 증진시켜 우울감 해소를 돕는다면, 노인 비대면 케어 체계에 큰 도움을 줄 것이라고 확신한다. 이에 따라, 본 연구에서는 식물와 어플리케이션을 이용하여 저가격 보급화가 가능한 비대면 복지 시스템을 개발하고자 한다. 구체적으로, 화분이라는 대화 매개체를 통해 어르신들의 대화 증진을 유도하여 우울증 완화에 도움을 주고자 한다. 또한, 시스템을 통해 수집되는 일상 데이터를 활용해 이상징후를 파악하여 고독사 예방을 위한 후속 조치를 취할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 위의 시스템을 통해 복지 사각지대를 해소하며, 어르신들의 정신 건강 증진에 기여할 수 있을거라 기대한다.

대화형 멀티미디어 서비스중에서 대표적인 VOD(Video on demand) 서비스 일반에 관한 표준제정이 DAVIC(Digital Audio-Visual Council)을 중심으로 한창 진행되고 있다. 본 고에서는 DAVIC에서 정하고 있는 시스템 기준모델을 각 구성요소별로 살펴보고 디지털 음성-영상 응용 및 서비스들간의 상호 운용성을 위해 현재 표준제정 중인 인터페이스와 프로토콜을 1995년 1월에 만들어진 초안과 3월의 그 수정판 (DAVIC 1.0)을 중심으로 상세히 소개하려고 한다.

디지탈 영상 신호의 효율적인 저장과 분배를 위해 만들어진 MPEG-1 표준과 MPEG-2 표준은 현재 디지털 AV 서비스에 널리 사용되고 있으며, 향후의 멀티미디어 통신 서비스, 디지털 TV, 고선명 TV 방송 및 VOD와 같은 대화형 서비스 등에 널리 이용될 것으로 예상된다. 또한 정보 통신 분야에서 그 수요가 폭발적으로 늘고 있는 개인 휴대형 통신 분야에서 영상 통신 서비스를 도입하기 위하여 최근 MPEG-4 표준화 활동이 시작되었다. MPEG-4 표준화 작업에서는 영상 내용을 이용하여 아주 높은 압축율을 실현하기 위한 여러 가지 새로운 영상 압축 기법들이 연구되고 있다.

이동 컴퓨팅 환경에서 미디어 서비스를 할 경우 일반 웹 서비스와는 달리 설러 가지 문제들이 발생한다 예를 들면 무선망의 특성상 네트워크 대역폭이 낮고, 네트워크 단절이 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 무선망의 이런 특성에도 불구하고 이동 컴퓨팅 환경에서 실시간 멀티미디어 서비스를 무선 단말에 원활하게 제공하는 방법으로 two-tiered proxy system을 제안한다. 그리고, 효율적인 캐시 관리 메커니즘과 효과적인 handoff를 지원하기 위한 proxy transfer protocol를 또한 제안한다.

Communication log data consist of communication events such as sending and receiving e-mail or instance message and visiting web sites, etc. Many countries including USA and EU enforce the retention of these data on the communication service providers for the purpose of investigating or detecting criminals through the Internet. Because size of the retained data is very large, the efficient method for extracting valuable information from the data is needed for Law Enforcement Authorities to use the retained data. This paper defines the Interactive Communication Sequence Patterns(ICSPs) that is the important information when each communication event in communication log data consists of sender, receiver, and timestamp of this event. We also define a Mining(FDICSP) problem to discover such patterns and propose a method called Fast Discovering Interactive Communication Sequence Pattern(FDICSP) to solve this problem. FDICSP focuses on the characteristics of ICS to reduce the search space when it finds longer sequences by using shorter sequences. Thus, FDICSP can find Interactive Communication Sequence Patterns efficiently.

A dialog system becomes a new way of communication between human and computer. The dialog system takes human voice as an input, and gives a proper response in voice or perform an action. Although there are several well-known products of dialog system (e.g., Amazon Echo, Naver Wave), they commonly suffer from a problem of out-of-domain utterances. If it poorly detects out-of-domain utterances, then it will significantly harm the user satisfactory. There have been some studies aimed at solving this problem, but it is still necessary to study about this intensively. In this paper, we give an overview of the previous studies of out-of-domain detection in terms of three point of view: dataset, feature, and method. As there were relatively smaller studies of this topic due to the lack of datasets, we believe that the most important next research step is to construct and share a large dataset for dialog system, and thereafter try state-of-the-art techniques upon the dataset.

인터넷의 사용이 보편화됨에 따라 인터넷을 통한 정보 제공 서비스가 확대되고 있다. 이에 따라 빠르게 변화하는 사용자의 요구를 만족시킴과 동시에 편리하고 유용한 서비스를 제공하기 위하여 사용자와 자연스럽게 의사소통할 수 있는 대화형 에이전트의 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 더불어 시스템의 효율적인 설계 또한 중요한 문제가 아닐 수 없다. 본 논문에서는 패턴매칭 기법과 베이지안 네트워크를 이용해 사용자 질의에 대한 적절한 답변을 생성하고, 스크립트 인터페이스를 통한 자동 스크립트 설계로 보다 효율적인 시스템 구축 방안을 제안해 보고자 한다. 실제 의류 사이트를 위한 안내 도우미 에이전트를 구현해 봄으로써 그 기능성을 평가해 본다.
