Improving Construction Operations Through Applications of 6 Sigma Management Techniques for Superstore Projects (6시그마 기법의 적용을 통한 대형 할인점 공사의 시공성과 향상)

  • In order to improve the performance of succeeding superstore construction projects, it is essential to find out an effective way for applying the opportunities of improvement on their repetitive construction process based upon the analysis of various success or failure cases occurred on previous similar projects. This research study suggests a way to improve their construction process through the applications of six sigma techniques on superstore construction projects. A literature review was implemented on the basic concept of six sigma and its general performance steps, and the step by step applications of six sigma techniques were accomplished regarding to the speciality of superstore construction projects. The opportunities of improvement for superstore projects were figured out, and the result of their applications on other superstore projects was analyzed. As a result, it was found that the adoption rate of identical success or failure cases was increased. Also, there were several improvement effects on the projects such as $10{\sim}20$ days of time savings by projects, decrease of reworks by preventing failure cases, quality and safety improvement. These results indicate that the six sigma techniques are applicable and valuable for improving the repetitive process of superstore construction projects.

  • 올해 들어, 벤처기업 M&A 활성화를 가로 막았던 요소들은 크게 개선되었다. 작년에는 M&A관련한 주식 맞교환에 대한 규제나 관련 세법 등이 개정되어 보다 자유로운 M&A가 가능해 졌다. 또한, 자금 측면에서도 보다 장기적인 투자 관점을 갖는 스마트한 M&A 자금이 증가할 전망이다. 중기청이나 산자부 등에서는 벤처 기업 M&A와 기술이전을 지원하기 위한 전문 펀드를 조성하거나 조성할 계획이며, 시중 은행을 비롯한 금융권에도 대형 구조조정 펀드를 결정하고 나섰다.

  • In this work, an insulated coupling test machine for a 5-MW-class wind turbine was designed and developed, along with the public performance testing of a 3-MW-class wind turbine. The results of the device design, development requirements, functional considerations, structural vibration analysis, and the evaluation of the insulated coupling test machine are presented in this study. For the coupling models, thick fiberglass composite pipe insulation, fabricated by filament winding, was considered. Results of three-dimensional finite element analysis conducted using both solid element and shell element modeling were analyzed and compared, considering the effect of thickness. In addition, results from the nonlinear finite element analysis of multiple leaf springs of the laminated disk pack structure were verified and compared with experimental data.

Collision Analysis between FRP Fishing Boats According to Various Configurations (여러 가지 충돌 상황에 따른 FRP 어선 간의 충돌 해석)

  • In this paper, collision analysis is carried out between two FRP fishing boats. A computer simulation with finite element method is used to accomplish this objective. At first, a detailed geometric model of the boat is constructed using 3-D CAD program. The formation of a finite element from a geometric data of the boats is carried out using HYPERMESH that is the commercial software for mesh generation and post processing. Twelve collision configurations are established by combining two kinds of contact angle($90^{\circ},\;135^{\circ}$) and three different speed(5, 10, 15knot) for small and large boats. Collision analysis is accomplished using DYNA3D. Stress distribution and deformation shape are investigated for each collision condition. In general, $90^{\circ}$ collision angle generate larger stress than $135^{\circ}$ case and the collision for two moving boats showed larger maximum stress than the case that one is moving and the other is stationary. When analysis is carried out until 150ms contact parts of two boats are broken for 10 and 15knot collision speed, in which maximum stress is larger than ultimate strength of the material.

  • When developing medium satellites or large satellites, coupled load analysis(CLA) is performed in order to verify satellite design as a final assessment under launch environment. Maximum acceleration, gap between adjacent parts, internal loads obtained from CLA are used to assess the safety of satellite design by comparing them with the allowable loads of every component. To achieve reliable CLA results, satellite FE model have to be properly updated to match with the sine vibration test results. In this paper, the validation procedure of satellite FE model and its results are discussed.

  • In recent years, various virtual reality games are becoming commercialized. A variety of large 3D online games popular with users has begun to transform into VR games. < the Elder Scrolls V: skyrim VR > as a derivative of large-scale 3D online games < the Elder Scrolls V: skyrim special edition >, Since its launch on the steam game platform in April 2018, because of its original UI design, maximizes the user's immersive experience and firmly maintains the leading position of VR games. Although the visual similarities between < the Elder Scrolls V: Skylim VR > and < the Elder Scrolls V: Skylim Special Edition > are high, but the visual elements in the UI are quite different. This paper studies characters, scenes, operating interfaces, colors and fonts five visual UI elements that enhance the immersion in game. It provided a unique interface design reference to immersive experience of new VR games in the future.
