The research was conducted to investigate factors that facilitate users' finding books by analyzing classifications in public library and bookstore. This research was based on the assumption that the users' needs and information behaviors are similar in both public library and bookstore. The main purpose of this study is not to recommend classifying public library collections the way a bookstore does, but to figure out what makes the users' book finding more convenient by analyzing the classifications. To carry out the research, users' book finding in public library and classifications of public library and bookstore are analyzed. Then, a survey was conducted to investigate users' book finding behaviors, degree of convenience in finding books according to different classifications and the causes of the convenience. The results of the research showed that bookstore's classification was more convenient for the users in finding books.

국내 대형서점들이 잇따라 인터넷서점을 개설하고 있다. 지난 5월 종로서적에 이어 6월에는 영풍문고가 인터넷서점을 열고 온라인 주문판매를 시작했다. 9월에는 교보문고도 개설할 계획이다. 우리의 경우 미국이나 일본처럼 인터넷을 통한 도서판매가 자리를 잡을 때까지 숱한 난제를 해결해야 할 것같다.

Heat release characteristics of live fire load are an important parameter for performance oriented fire safety design of a building. While investigations have been carried out on the fire load and its burning behavior in office, residential and commercial buildings and so on, little effort has been paid for the rational treatment of fire load in bookstore. In this report, burning behavior of typical combustible objects in bookstore are studied by measuring heat release rates of bookshelf with book. Based on the results, it has reviewed fire safety when a fire accident occurs on the large bookstore and suggested peak heat release rate per burning surface, fire growth rate, etc of the live fire load required for fire safety design in bookstore.

프랑스에서 문고판 서적은 연간 8천6백만권 정도 팔려나가는데, 이는 총도서판매량의 10%에 해당한다. 문고본 출판량이 방대하니 대형서점들마다 문고판 전문매장을 따로 갖추고 있다. 하지만 '주머니 판형'의 책만을 전문으로 취급하는 곳은 파리에서 이곳 '아쉐트 포코테크'뿐이다.

교보문고에서 자체 개발.시행하고 있는 인스토아 마킹은 ISBN제도를 근본적으로 뒤흔들 우려가 있다. 몇몇 서점들에서 교보문고의 경우를 본보기로 삼으려는 움직임이 벌써부터 일고 있다고 하는데, 이럴 경우 출판업계의 소스마킹 의지를 약화시켜 ISBN제도의 정착을 지연하거나 해칠 수도 있게 된다.

The purpose of this study is to provide basic guidelines for qualitatively advanced children facilities and spaces in grand bookstores. The main concept is considered with a situation that grand bookstores of large corporations are increasing in quantity, but their social missions for the user are often being connived. The study is peformed by research of current six domestic grand bookstores, two branches of each three large corporations, larger than 2,500py in Seoul, and the research is applied to Murtha's User Benefit Criteria as a basic format. As a result of the research, some problems to be improved are detected in ways of behavioral facilitation, physiological maintenance, perceptual maintenance, and social facilitation, therefore findings in survey turned out to be parents' dissatisfaction in many aspects. Finally, with this result, it is desirable for interior designers to reflect the indicated insufficient elements to their following children's bookstore space design for the user, children and their parents.

올해들어 대본소를 통해 유통됐던 창작무협지 몇종이 서점에 진출, 비교적 좋은 반응을 얻고 있다. 무협지계 최초로 개인전집인 "김광주 전집"도 출간될 예정이며, 이론서인 "무림백과"도 출간됐다. 일부 대형서점에서는 '무협지코너'도 마련해 놓아 독자의 눈길을 끌고있다. 이를 계기로 한국무협지시장 안팎의 어제와 오늘을 알아본다.
